Having no outlet for emotions is actually when a person is the most sorrowful, at least being able to vent can make things a little better.

Henry Lawson just watched Celia Wade, who looked as if she had been drained of life, and felt extremely distressed. She didn’t know how to comfort her, nor could she understand why Mr. Wade would leave when he had such a wonderful wife who was so good to him.

If even a person like Mrs. Wade couldn’t keep him, then who could?

Henry Lawson suddenly thought of something and made her way to Celia’s room.

She thought that maybe Mr. Wade hadn’t left without saying any goodbye; perhaps he had left a message for Mrs. Wade.

Although she hadn’t spent much time with Mr. Wade, Henry Lawson felt that he wasn’t the kind of person to act irresponsibly. On the contrary, she thought he must be very meticulous in his actions, and besides, she could see that Mr. Wade cared a lot for Mrs. Wade. So, if he cared so much, how could he possibly leave without saying a word?

While Henry Lawson was in Celia’s room looking for a message, Celia received a call from Henry Ruiz.

"Celia, it’s New Year’s Eve the day after tomorrow. Come over for dinner with Jordy, and also, Jordy’s surgery is scheduled for after the New Year. I will discuss the exact timing with you later, is that okay?" Henry Ruiz was speaking on the other end of the phone.

This year, Caroline Ruiz wasn’t around, and Emily Hill had promised Caroline to take good care of Celia, so after discussing with Henry Ruiz, they decided not to go to Morgan Mansion for the New Year’s dinner. Master Ruiz was understanding too, and they didn’t press them when they said they wouldn’t come.

It was expected that the Hawkins Family would invite them to spend New Year’s Eve with them, which was only proper.

"...Uncle Henry, Jordy has left again. I’ll come by myself when the time comes." Two tears slid down Celia’s cheeks. It seemed that no matter what she did now, she just couldn’t keep him.

Well, keeping someone physically there couldn’t keep their heart, and since he remembered nothing yet still wanted to leave, there was no need for her to humble herself and force him to stay.

So, let him go then. She really doesn’t care anymore.

From now on, they shall each be at opposite ends of the world.

"What? Where could he have gone?" Henry Ruiz was also taken aback. Jordy couldn’t return to the Wade Family, and obviously, he couldn’t go back to the Saunders Family either. So, where could Jordy run off to?

"I don’t know myself. Probably, he has a place he wants to go to." Celia’s lips quivered into a bitter smile, "Uncle Henry, I’ve got a few things to handle here, so I’ll come over the day after tomorrow a bit earlier."

She didn’t want to go back to see her father again. Every year, she had gone back, only to be turned away each time. Now, she didn’t want to go anymore. Truly, the human heart is the most fragile thing. After being hurt over and over, it’s bound to get damaged, especially since she had been hurt so many times, to say she was battered and bleeding was not an exaggeration.

She needed to go somewhere warm to heal her wounds, and the Ruiz Family was a place where her heart could be mended. From now on, she would never shun it.

"Miss Wade, Mr. Wade left you a letter. He didn’t leave without a word." Henry Lawson found the letter in Celia’s room and hurried over, very elated.

She knew it. Mr. Wade wasn’t that heartless. He must have left a letter for Miss Wade before he left.

"A letter? He didn’t leave without a word?" Celia, who had fallen into despair, was suddenly filled with hope again.

She took the letter from Henry Lawson’s hands, and sure enough, Jordy Wade hadn’t left without saying goodbye. He wrote that it wasn’t that he had forgotten everything in his mind; there was still a memory fragment from his childhood. He remembered it was a woman who took him to the orphanage. So, he was going to find that woman and regain all of his memories, asking her to patiently wait for him to come back. He promised that once he returned, they would never be separated again.
