Chapter 781: Chapter 781: He Woke Up (2)

At the end of the conversation, she even nudged Carolline Ruiz’s stomach with her buttocks.

It seemed as if by doing that, the baby she longed for would immediately be conceived in Carolline’s belly.

"I’ll have Xavier Estrada drive you home; don’t worry. I would not feel at ease if you left alone," Carolline told Celia Wade. Xavier hadn’t drunk much, and Carolline trusted his driving skills.

"Well, then I’ll graciously accept like an obedient worm," Celia did not refuse, and stood beside them waiting for Xavier to bring the car.

Carolline and Bryan Hawkins continued to see off the guests. Seeing Carolline repeatedly bow and say thanks, and her feet twisting uncontrollably, it was clear she was exhausted.

But there was no other choice; it was a big event in life. Tomorrow, they would start their honeymoon for a month of sweetness. It would probably be nauseatingly sweet for the couple.

Haha, she believed that the cherished baby she desired would be conceived in Carolline’s belly within that month. She had complete confidence in someone’s capability in that regard.

She had seen the couple’s kiss inside the Pumpkin Car earlier.

As for her, no one would believe that since she’d confessed her feelings to Jordy Wade, she hadn’t even gotten a single kiss from him. Their only time kissing was still initiated by her, and after less than two seconds, she was pushed away.

Therefore, she was a pitiful woman who still had her first kiss, and in a few years, she’d be a thirty-year-old unwanted spinster.

Xavier brought the car quickly, Celia got in, waved goodbye to Carolline, who took a few steps forward, saying, "I’m leaving on an early flight tomorrow. If you need anything, call my mom. The winter vacation is coming anyway, she’ll have nothing to do. Come to my house for the Spring Festival dinner, treat it as your company for them this year. Please, I beg you."

Celia knew that when Carolline said this, she was considering her parents on the surface, but in reality, she was actually looking out for Celia.

Over the past years, during every Spring Festival, she had nowhere to go. She wasn’t unwilling to go to the Ruiz family; she just dared not to, fearing the sight of the harmonious Ruiz family would bring back memories of the past.

"Okay," Celia nodded in agreement.

Only then did Carolline take a step back, watching Celia leave.

Celia looked back as Carolline’s figure became more and more distant. She smiled silently, hoping Carolline, that silly girl, would be happy forever.

She turned around, opened her purse, pulled out her phone, and found that the screen was black. It seemed that the vibration that Emily Hill mentioned earlier was a low battery alert.

But she remembered fully charging her phone yesterday. Normally, it should last the whole day, unless somebody called her countless times.

Thinking of this, the first thing that came to Celia’s mind was a call from the caretaker, perhaps to inform her about some news related to Jordy Wade. If that was the case...

Celia’s face suddenly changed, "Xavier, please, drive faster."

Since Xavier had seen her several times before and even accompanied Bryan Hawkins and Carolline during the photo shoot, the two of them were quite familiar with each other by now. Carolline naturally called him by name.

"Alright, buckle up," Xavier nodded.

Twenty minutes later, Celia was downstairs at her place. She hastily thanked Xavier and ran into the residential area, taking the elevator upstairs.

Upstairs, the caretaker Little He still hadn’t left. Hearing Celia return, she hurriedly ran over. Before Celia could ask anything, she took the initiative to report, "Miss Wade, Mr. Wade woke up at noon today. I called you but you didn’t answer. Later, he ate some food and went for a walk, but he hasn’t come back yet. What should we do? Should we..."
