Chapter 758: Chapter 758: On the Eve of the Grand Wedding (4)

Emily Hill even said she had never seen a father who spoiled his child so much.

"Everything is pretty good; don’t you have any opinions of your own?" Carolline Ruiz laughed, knowing that Henry Ruiz would support her in anything. She specifically discussed it with him out of respect.

"Your decision is my opinion. Besides, you are grown up now, and you should know what kind of decision is good." Henry Ruiz had complete trust in Carolline.

"Thank you, Dad." Carolline Ruiz took the initiative to hook Henry’s arm and leaned against him.

Henry Ruiz also put his arm around Carolline’s shoulder, and the father and daughter leaned on each other, enjoying the family’s warmth.

Emily Hill and Bryan Hawkins came out of the room and saw this heartwarming scene. They exchanged a smile and went on their way without disturbing them.

—— Split Line ——

The next day, Carolline Ruiz went straight to Gary Skate’s office to submit her resignation letter.

"You two are really a couple, both so ruthless," Gary Skate was still annoyed about yesterday’s events. "I’m telling you, the red envelope on the wedding day, don’t expect me to give too much."

"Well, then just give a little. After you give the money, you can go home and eat your own food," Carolline nodded, waiting for Gary to sign her resignation.

"Ha, I finally understand now; you two are of the same kind. No wonder you are such a good match." Gary gritted his teeth in hatred, "Do you believe that I won’t sign your resignation letter?"

"Why don’t you try not signing it?" Suddenly, Bryan Hawkins walked in from outside.

"What are you doing here?" Gary Skate looked at the man who just barged into his office room, his face turning ugly.

"What’s it to you?" Bryan Hawkins shot back without any courtesy.

In fact, he had come with Carolline Ruiz to resign. He had just gone to the restroom before coming over and had heard Gary’s threatening words to Carolline.

"Fine, I’ll sign it. I’m afraid of you two. I’ve been taking less salary just to settle this matter for you, and now I can finally retire. Don’t you think I shouldn’t have to give the red envelope?" Gary Skate signed the document, still arguing for himself.

"I’m not forgiving your best man’s red envelope. One code for one code," Bryan Hawkins cut off Gary’s reverie mercilessly. When it was time for him to give the best man’s red envelope back then, no one said he could be exempted, right?

It was simple; just don’t give the red envelope and not attend his wedding.

Carolline Ruiz covered her mouth and smiled foolishly, watching Gary Skate’s deflated look, which was indeed very amusing.

With the paperwork almost complete, Carolline could leave the hospital on her scheduled wedding leave. After the wedding leave was over, she wouldn’t have to come back to work.

So today could be considered Carolline’s last day at work.

After taking Carolline to the office room, Bryan Hawkins received a call from Xavier Estrada. He took a kiss before leaving Carolline’s office room.

"I’ll come over early in the afternoon to pick you up," Bryan promised as he left.

"Ok." Carolline nodded.

Although it was her last day at work, Carolline still conscientiously did her job, patrolling each department and then making her daily schedule.

Since Lottie Mitchell was pregnant, her position was adjusted to make it less tiring for her. Her current job was as a doctor in the Outpatient Building.

She had a specific desk and stool and was responsible for answering patients’ and their families’ inquiries, making it relatively easy work.

After Carolline had nearly finished her rounds, she went to chat with Lottie for a while. "Your belly is showing now, it looks like the baby is growing well."
