The death she thought would occur might have been from an infectious disease, but this sudden riot was completely unexpected.

"Yeah, that’s alright, I understand. You go about your work." Bryan Hawkins showed understanding.

"Alright then, I’m rather busy, so I won’t say more. Could you let Carol Ruiz know, I will apologize to her next time when I call ." Phoebe Miller ended the call.

Bryan even didn’t get a chance to ask her if there was a Charlotte Clark in the list of the dead.

He felt no guilt about Charlotte Clark’s death, because it was an accident. An unplanned, yet unfortunately real accident. It could only be said that it was everyone’s fate.

"There was a riot out there. It’s unrelated to medical accidents." After hanging up, Bryan explained to Carol.

"Even so, we were the ones who sent her there and made her experience such an accident." Carol still felt somewhat guilty. After all, Bryan had originally sent Charlotte to Africa due to the offense she caused.

She still felt somewhat guilty no matter how she looked at it.

"Don’t think like that. No one expected this. My original intention was good, for her to mature after a year and then come back to a bright future, but she just wasn’t fortunate enough for it." Bryan took Carol’s hand, comforting her. On the eve of their wedding, facing such an event really bummed them out.

"Can you find a way to contact Gavin Campbell? I want to know if he’s okay." Charlotte had already died, and this couldn’t be overturned. Now, Carol wanted to ensure Gavin’s safety.

Keep in mind, the Clark Residence was left with just Edward Clark after Charlotte’s death. Yet Gavin was the only son of the Campbell Family. If Gavin was gone, how would the elderly Campbells bear such an impact?

"Alright, I’ll send a text." Bryan texted Phoebe Miller’s assistant, Selina Fleming, to help find out about Gavin’s situation.

Carol sat on the bed, twisting the towel in her hands into a kink.

Seeing Carol like this, Bryan was pretty upset. They had enjoyed their time together, but then returned to face this bleak situation. It was extremely aggravating.

The main issue was that the Clark Family was involved, and they were a hassle. He was worried that the family would give Carol trouble.

A quick reply came from across. Gavin would return home on a flight tomorrow.

The remaining doctors, nurses and the Miller Family along with other government departments would all be safely escorted back to the country. They would still enjoy all the benefits of a year of service after returning home before their time was up. This was a promise that the government of Z country was getting ready to give.

Of course, Selina didn’t say all this. After all, Bryan only wanted to find out about Gavin’s situation. And technically speaking, the situation hadn’t been officially announced yet, so there were no official declarations yet.

"Gavin’s fine, don’t worry. He is being escorted back home tomorrow." Bryan came in front of Carol, and held both of her hands tightly in his. Her hands were somewhat cold. After him holding them for quite a while, they gradually regained warmth.

"That’s good, it’s good if he’s alright." Carol repeated to herself. She was just afraid that the Campbell Family wouldn’t be able to bear it. However, even so, there would be many families crying their hearts out in the coming days.

"Don’t worry. Everything will be properly settled." Bryan pulled Carol into his arms.

Carol just nodded, not saying much.

Still, tomorrow, some will rejoice while others will worry. But every day is like that. While some families are happy, others grieve. This is life.
