The time that followed passed quickly.

Bryan Cooper’s twins went through the full moon wine celebration and then the Hundred-day Banquet. Bryan witnessed the babies go from not opening their eyes when they were first born with wrinkled little faces, to now having fully opened eyes and increasingly clear facial features.

Although Bryan was initially unhappy about having a daughter who monopolized the name that was supposed to belong to his own daughter, he grew to love Avery and Aiden Axon deeply. Whenever he returned to the Hawkins family home, he would first hold and interact with the two children. The three-month-old babies were gradually developing more facial expressions, including smiles and pouting, which made them adorable.

Bryan found playing with the infants enjoyable and was no longer jealous or depressed. After all, once his wedding was over, he and Carolline would be preparing for their second child. Carolline had promised him that their next child would also be a plump, adorable, and naive princess.

Bryan never thought that newborn babies could be so much fun, and now he was looking forward to the arrival of his little princess even more.

"Well, on behalf of Avery and Aiden, thank you, great-grandfather," Mrs. Hawkins replied, as Avery and Aiden followed suit.

"My pleasure! We’re all family now, aren’t we? Just look how happy you are, Mrs. Hawkins," Master Ruiz said, still laughing heartily.

Mrs. Hawkins chuckled, having never planned on inviting Master Ruiz and his family, especially after Jasmine Ruiz’s recent miscarriage. The baby was so close to being born but didn’t make it.

As an outsider, Mrs. Hawkins felt sad for their loss, and all the more so for someone as close as Master Ruiz.

But the Ruiz family’s straightforwardness remained unchanged, as even Jasmine Ruiz and her family attended the Hundred-day Banquet. Jasmine also gave a red envelope and brought out beautiful clothes she had once purchased for her own child, adding some for baby girls, and presented them as gifts.

Jasmine now enjoyed watching other people’s children, which somehow symbolized her own child and provided her some psychological solace.

Yes, she envied and coveted others’ happiness, but she didn’t bear any hatred.
