Chapter 671: Chapter 671: Each Gets Their Retribution (2)

If Cole Duncan were to really leave here, whether he and his daughter could meet again in this lifetime would be an unknown.

"Daddy—" Elena walked over, calling out softly. After being cared for by Daisy’s mother for two days, Elena’s complexion gradually regained its rosy color.

"Hmm, Elena, Daddy is sorry." Cole Duncan pulled Elena into his embrace, his eyes moist. He knew that during those days, they had fed her quite a few sleeping pills to keep her from being noisy.

Fortunately, they didn’t overdose her. Otherwise, they would’ve lost her for real.

Everything was all right now. It was just because he, as a father, had never made up his mind. If he had been determined earlier, his baby girl wouldn’t have suffered like this.

"Daddy, don’t cry. Elena is okay now." Elena wiped the tears from the corners of Cole Duncan’s eyes and comforted his heart.

Such a sensible Elena had experienced so much. But her mother always said Daisy Willow couldn’t teach Elena well. In fact, Daisy had done an excellent job teaching her child.

With this, he felt relieved and could completely leave the lives of mother and daughter.

"Alright, Daddy won’t cry. Elena, listen to Mommy’s words, study well, work hard but don’t put too much pressure on yourself. Daddy and Mommy hope you can grow up happy and healthy, understand?" Cole Duncan said with a smile.

"Hmm, Elena knows. Daddy, Granny has been locked up. Who will take care of you in the future? Let Auntie Katie stay with you. She’s good at taking care of people." Elena said this in front of Katie.

At this, Katie instantly blushed. As a countryside girl with only a primary school diploma, being by Cole Duncan’s side only made her feel inferior.

"Hmm, Daddy also thinks Auntie Katie is good. If Auntie Katie doesn’t mind the trouble, Daddy plans to bother her for a long time." Cole Duncan went along with Elena’s words. Whether they were true or false, he just wanted to put Elena’s mind at ease now.

"Auntie Katie is a good person and won’t think Daddy is a burden. Besides, Mommy said that as long as your leg is treated well, there’s still a chance it’ll heal." Elena said with a smile, "Daddy, Mommy and I will be leaving in a few days. You must take good care of yourself when you’re alone."

"Hmm, take good care of yourself. Daddy’s phone number won’t change, so call Daddy when you miss him, alright?" Cole Duncan nodded his head.

"Alright, Auntie Katie, I’m leaving Daddy in your hands. In the future, I’ll send you New Year gifts." Elena seriously told Auntie Katie.

"Thank you, Lady Elena." Katie quickly replied.

"Alright, go to Mommy. Daddy still has some things to deal with. Katie, let’s go." Cole Duncan glanced towards Daisy Willow but didn’t walk towards her. Katie pushed the wheelchair and they left.

Elena returned to her mother’s side, and Carolline Ruiz drove them home. She refused Daisy’s invitation for lunch because she had to go to work in the afternoon.

Axel and Simon Carrington knew nothing about what Elena had experienced.

Daisy Willow hid it from Simon, while Carolline Ruiz hid it from Axel.

Three days later, Simon Carrington came to G City again and took Daisy Willow and Elena away. Before leaving, they had a casual meal with the people around Daisy Willow.

At the farewell at the airport, Evelyn Willow and Axel went too. Evelyn cried like a child, bursting into tears. Passersby in the airport all stared at Evelyn Willow, making Millie Campbell lose face. Angrily, she swung a fist at Evelyn, making her cry even harder.
