Chapter 648: Chapter 648: Elena Duncan’s Disappearance (4)

If it has to be tomorrow, then she’ll call Cole Duncan later to discuss it.

Upon receiving Daisy Willow’s call, Cole Duncan had just taken a bath with Katie’s help.

Jane Auclair basically stopped coming to the villa to help, aside from pressuring him for money. After the two of them completely fell out, Jane Auclair didn’t even show her face anymore, but she occasionally called to threaten him.

He was essentially a useless person now, so he didn’t care about Jane Auclair’s threats at all.

His mother, on the other hand, cared a lot. Every time Jane Auclair called, she was extremely accommodating, saying that there was still room for negotiation in this matter. He genuinely felt that there was nothing to be negotiated between him and Jane Auclair.

After all, five million was the highest compensation he could give. If Jane Auclair and her mother could accept it, that would be fine, but if not, there was nothing he could do about it. In any case, he would not accept her unreasonable demand for fifty million in compensation.

"Hello?" Cole Duncan was also surprised that Daisy Willow would call him at this time.

"It’s Daisy Willow." Hearing Cole Duncan’s somewhat unfamiliar tone, Daisy Willow thought for a moment, then introduced herself in case he had deleted her number.

"...I know." Cole Duncan hadn’t expected Daisy Willow to introduce herself and paused for a moment. The scene of their first meeting immediately came to mind - she was standing in front of him, neither humble nor arrogant, telling him her name was Daisy Willow.

Cole Duncan chuckled. In these days, he felt like a man on his deathbed, constantly thinking about his past with Daisy Willow.

"Oh, it’s like this. Auntie came to find me just now, saying you want to see Elena. If you’re free tomorrow, let’s meet somewhere and I’ll bring Elena out." Daisy Willow was truly not opposed to father and daughter meeting, and she didn’t understand why Cole’s mother was still so pushy at this point.

"My mom went to find you again?" Cole Duncan’s voice suddenly turned cold. It had been quite gentle just now. "You don’t need to mind her. If it’s inconvenient for you and Elena, we can do it another day."

"Do you have any plans for tomorrow? If not, let’s still meet tomorrow. I have something I want to tell you as well." Daisy Willow intended to discuss Elena’s request to go abroad with him.

"Alright, then." Cole Duncan agreed, hearing the sound of his mother opening the door and entering the room. "You can hang up now, and just send me a message later with the time and location."

Without waiting for Daisy Willow’s response, Cole Duncan hung up the phone and pushed his wheelchair out of the room.

"Cole, have you taken a bath?" Cole’s mother looked at him, refreshed, and seemed satisfied.

Lately, her attitude toward Katie had been relatively good, mainly because Katie had taken good care of Cole Duncan recently. She no longer required Katie to handle any other matters at home. All she asked was for her to take good care of her son, and Cole’s mother would not let her down.

"Yes." Cole Duncan nodded. "Mom, you went to find Daisy Willow again?"

"I knew something was different about you today. It turns out that woman called you so quickly. I thought that if I arranged for you two to meet tomorrow, the credit would be mine, but she still managed to overshadow me." Cole’s mother huffed coldly. She had noticed that for the past few days, Cole Duncan hadn’t been showing her a good face.

She had been enduring it, knowing that she had hurt him, but the consequences were not what she wanted. However, it seemed like her son simply refused to forgive her.
