It was Kent’s first time visiting such a high-end steak restaurant. He was like a farmer who had come to town, looking around in awe at everything.

"Kent, you can choose whatever you’d like to eat and drink, okay?" Evelyn Willow explained to Kent Auclair, knowing that the conditions in their old house were not good. Now that he’s come out, he could learn and experience more in the future.

"Okay." Kent nodded, then turned to Axel for help, "Axel, this is my first time here. Can you help me?"

"Sure, let’s go. Elena, do you want to come with us?" Axel asked Elena Duncan.

"Yeah."

So, the three kids walked hand-in-hand toward the buffet area, with Elena in the middle. Many people admired the sight of these three children together.

"Did Kent finally accept Axel?" Carolline Ruiz was quite happy, knowing that Kent hadn’t liked Axel in the past.

Bryan Hawkins furrowed his eyebrows. His son needed someone else’s acceptance? Shouldn’t it be the other way around -- that Axel had accepted Kent?

Carolline didn’t even bother to look at him, but Daisy Willow thought it was nice, nodding in agreement. She had wanted to see the three of them getting along like this.

Kent was Big Brother’s child, and didn’t have a bad nature. His rejection of Axel might have had its reasons, but she always believed that Kent could discover Axel’s good qualities, especially since Elena liked Axel so much.

She liked Axel, too.

It didn’t make sense for Kent to be so opposed to such a good kid like Axel.

Soon, the three children brought back their choice of food, which the adults did not approve of, as they were not filling dishes. Bryan Hawkins ordered the meals and only allowed each one to eat one item first. The rest could be eaten after the steak if they still had room.

Axel and Elena followed the instructions, but Kent stared longingly at the delicious-looking food, knowing that eating just one item wouldn’t be enough. He was so eager to eat that he looked pitiful.

"Dad, can we let Kent eat one more thing? Elena and I won’t eat," Axel couldn’t stand it and pleaded with his father on Kent’s behalf.

"So both of you aren’t eating?" Bryan Hawkins asked with a smile. Did their friendship develop so quickly in just one afternoon?

"Yeah, we both won’t eat," Axel and Elena said in unison.

"Then Kent, you can choose one more thing to eat," Bryan Hawkins relented. With both children saying that, he couldn’t exert patriarch authority anymore.

"No need, if they don’t eat, I won’t eat either," Kent seemed quite loyal.

The three adults didn’t say anything. The children’s steak from the set menu was served first, and both Elena and Axel gave their share to Kent. Kent felt a bit shy, and the three kids waited until everyone was served before they began to eat. Kent didn’t know how to cut the steak properly, so he tried to learn by watching Axel and Elena.

In the end, Daisy Willow stepped in and patiently taught him step by step. Kent was a good learner; once Daisy had shown him, he slowly got the hang of it.

After an hour and a half, the meal was over. Daisy decided to take a taxi home with the two children and insisted that Bryan Hawkins and Carolline Ruiz not escort them.

She didn’t want to take up too much of their time, as they had work the next day, while she was free.

Unable to convince Daisy, Carolline could only repeatedly remind her to be careful on the road before they left.

Daisy hailed a taxi and headed straight home.

It wasn’t far from the restaurant to their house – only about a ten-minute drive.

When the three of them got out of the car, Daisy held one child’s hand in each of hers as they walked toward the Residential Area. Suddenly, Mrs. Shen, who had been waiting here, rushed over to them.
