Chapter 607: Chapter 607: Anonymous Photo (3)

A light flashed through Bryan Hawkins’ mind, and suddenly he had some understanding of the people who had urged him to drink earlier, whom he wasn’t familiar with at all. But everyone who came forward had been genuine in their insistence.

He had previously wondered why so many people suddenly came to toast him when things were going to end soon. He hadn’t realized there was another act behind the scenes.

If he hadn’t pretended to be drunk in the end, he might have been taken advantage of by that group of people with ulterior motives; they might even have carried him into a room and taken some compromising photos to show Carolline Ruiz.

Fortunately, Xavier Estrada was by his side, making it impossible for them to carry out their sinister plans.

"Could it really be your twin brother?" Seeing Bryan’s hesitation, Carolline Ruiz pretended to be more convinced, deliberately widening her eyes, and making an incredulous noise.

"What twin brother? Didn’t you think it might actually be me?" Bryan Hawkins held her tighter since he came back so late.

"Well, I almost thought it was you. However, the person in the photo has a tattoo on his left shoulder, while your body is really clean, with no spots, let alone tattoos," Carolline nodded seriously as she spoke.

"..." Bryan Hawkins paused for a moment before laughing. So it turned out that she had secretly inspected his entire body. This felt great to Bryan.

Carolline didn’t know the dirty thoughts in his mind and took her phone back from Bryan’s hand. "Alright, let’s go to bed early. Some boring people just love to do boring things."

"Really, they only sent these pictures and messages?" Bryan Hawkins stopped her, feeling there must be more to the story.

"There were a few more pictures before, but I deleted them," Carolline thought there was no need to hide anything, so she told him.

"What about the messages?" He continued to dig for details.

"Well, they mentioned Mastic Hotel, Room 2201, asking me to go and...uh...catch the cheater," Carolline repeated the important details from memory, her good recollection greatly benefiting her.

"..." Suddenly, Bryan Hawkins’ embrace tightened. He was thankful for Carolline’s keen observation and intelligence; otherwise, she might have fallen right into their trap. What were those people planning to do after they lured her in? The possible consequences were frightening to think about.

How dare someone do such a thing right under Bryan’s nose? Were they not afraid of his vengeance? The Hawkins Family was known for never letting a grudge go, especially when it came to their wives.

"You go to sleep first, I’ll be back soon," Bryan said, fully awake now, taking Carolline’s phone and heading out.

Carolline wanted to stop him, but it was too late. He had quickly left the room before she could even speak.

She didn’t know what Bryan was planning, but she did know that if she reacted impulsively like before, she might have ended up in an awful situation without any means of escape.

Those people needed a lesson; otherwise, their perpetual annoyance would become unbearable. The police couldn’t deal with this kind of harassment either.

Carolline didn’t really try to stop him, knowing Bryan acted with restraint, so she lay quietly in bed, waiting for his return.

The people hiding in Mastic Hotel waited for another hour but still didn’t see Carolline. They realized that she must have seen through their ruse.
