But Andy remained defiant, staring at her and pulling his hand back from supporting her.

Suddenly feeling rejected, Megan’s brows furrowed in annoyance. "What are you doing?"

"Figure it out yourself." Andy wasn’t a completely spineless person. Over the years, he had pampered, cherished and indulged her because she hadn’t crossed his bottom lines and principles. But now that she’d crossed them, he naturally showed his temper.

"So both you and Carolline think I’m wrong for treating Charlotte this way, right?" Megan poked Andy in the chest, looking quite ferocious.

"Do you know what kind of things that little bitch Charlotte did behind Carolline’s back? You think Phoebe Miller’s rumors just happened out of nowhere?" Megan was becoming increasingly frustrated. As she gave her all for Carolline’s sake, these two betrayed her trust with their cold-heartedness. It was infuriating beyond belief.

"So what if she spread rumors? What you were thinking before was to hope that she wouldn’t come back. How can we be so vicious? Besides, you’re about to become a mother." Andy thought that Charlotte’s actions weren’t as excessive as Megan’s words earlier.

He had to make his wife understand this point, as Carolline had just hung up the phone on her for that reason.

No matter how much you hated someone, it was enough to just ignore them. Cursing someone to die was uncalled for.

"I..." Megan wanted to argue, but she knew Andy too well. It was precisely because she understood what kind of person he was that she liked him so much.

Carolline and Andy were the kind of people who, in modern terms, were very nit-picky. In traditional terms, they were stubborn and annoying, but this was their principle of conduct.

Since she chose Andy as a lover and Carolline as a friend, she naturally accepted them. She knew she had acted impulsively just now, mainly because she felt she had Carolline’s best interests at heart yet wasn’t appreciated for it. Her anger was directed at Charlotte as a result.

"Fine, fine, I know I was wrong, okay? I won’t do it again." Megan apologized quickly, mainly because Andy was the person she cared for and loved the most. She knew his anger was for her own good.

"..." Andy sighed softly and forgave her. His parents always said that he was completely wrapped around his wife’s finger, but he knew very well that Megan cared deeply for him. That’s why he was willing to continue pampering and indulging her, as long as it wasn’t a serious mistake.

As for who was truly wrapped around whose finger, they each knew the answer. After all, no matter who had who under their control, both were willing and happy with the arrangement.

Andy grunted and embraced her again. "After you give birth, I’ll buy you a new phone that you like."

This was an apology for deliberately not answering earlier.

"Mm, you said it, I want the latest model." As soon as Megan heard Andy’s promise, she immediately wrapped her arms around his and playfully swayed while clinging to him.

It wasn’t that she didn’t have the money to buy the latest phone, and she certainly didn’t need Andy to buy it for her.
