Chapter 450: Chapter 450 Leaving a Voice (2)

So, she, Carolline Ruiz, was the woman by his side, and was Phoebe Miller the woman hidden deep in his heart?

Carolline also somewhat hated herself at the moment, as they had agreed not to be jealous of this ambitious woman. Carolline felt she wasn’t qualified, yet she couldn’t control her emotions. Thus, she was just an ordinary woman, while the other one was a great and ambitious woman.

A woman who frets over her relationship day after day.

"No need." Bryan Hawkins shook his head with a smile and made a request, "I want to drink milk."

Carolline hurriedly inserted a straw into the milk and fed him.

As for Carolline’s service, Bryan Hawkins was extremely satisfied and didn’t notice Carolline’s low mood at all.

First, he dropped Carolline off at the hospital for work. At the entrance of the hospital, he asked Carolline for a goodbye kiss before letting her get out of the car. Carolline, with no other option, quickly gave him a kiss in front of the bustling hospital entrance and asked him to leave right away.

Bryan Hawkins drove away contentedly to the Hawkins Family company, while Carolline watched his car leave before allowing her melancholic emotions to surface.

"Since you seem so reluctant, why not quit your job like Avery Graham, and be an assistant to your husband at the Hawkins Family company? In my opinion, with your qualifications, you’d have more than enough to be his assistant," Megan Clifton said, returning with steamed buns, porridge, and eggs, seeing Carolline watching the rear of her husband’s car with a wistful expression.

She apparently didn’t know that Carolline’s melancholy was actually due to a misunderstanding, not because she didn’t want to be apart.

"Is your mother-in-law not at home to take care of you today?" Carolline asked, looking at the breakfast Megan Clifton was holding. If her mother-in-law was home, she definitely wouldn’t allow her to eat these nutrition-less foods.

"Yeah, there’s some stuff going on back at the old house, so my father-in-law took three days off to accompany her there." This meant she would have three days of freedom. She had already made plans with Andy Aguirre to have hot pot tonight, "My husband and I are going to have hot pot tonight. Do you want to bring your husband to join us?"

"Trying to take advantage of us again?" Carolline asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Look at what you’re saying! Mr. Hawkins is so rich. Can treating us once or twice really be called taking advantage? Besides, as the wife of the wealthiest man, is it really good for you to be so stingy?" Megan Clifton pouted.

"It’s just fine." Carolline didn’t think it was a big deal. Whether he was the richest man or not, money doesn’t fall from the heavens. What’s wrong with being frugal? Besides, who can guarantee that being rich now means being rich forever?

Many experiences have taught us that we should think about possible dangers when living in security. Otherwise, when a real disaster comes, we won’t know how to face it.

Having said that, Carolline turned and walked away. Bryan Hawkins had mentioned earlier that they were going to have a night for just the two of them. If she agreed to join Megan Clifton for hot pot tonight, it would definitely upset him.

After all, she had just had hot pot, and Daisy Willow’s homemade hot pot tasted no worse than that prepared by a chef. In the future, she would go to Celia Wade’s house if she craved hot pot, buy some ingredients, and have Daisy Willow cook. It would be both hygienic and enjoyable.

"I met Celia Wade earlier, and she said that you guys had hot pot at her place the day before yesterday or so. Carolline, you really have good friends. You invited Avery and didn’t invite me." Seeing Carolline walk away, Megan Clifton hurriedly caught up with her.

"Avery is a pregnant lady, and you’re a pregnant woman. Pregnant women should eat less of these kinds of foods, preferably none at all, so I didn’t invite you." The reason she invited Avery was that she had a good appetite. If Avery hadn’t come, the three of them wouldn’t have been able to finish everything. Fortunately, she joined, and the food wasn’t wasted.
