Chapter 429: Chapter 429: Daisy Willow’s Rise (6)
"Daisy, you’ve really changed." Cole Duncan felt somewhat sad and helpless.
"...Cole, people can’t stay in the same place forever. If you agree to my previous conditions, we can sign the agreement. I don’t want any of the Duncan Family’s property, I just want my daughter." Daisy Willow spoke very decisively. She just wanted Elena, and she could do without a single penny from the Duncan Family.
"Elena is also my daughter." Cole knew that with what happened at home, Daisy still insisted on divorcing him, so she must have made up her mind, and even ten bulls couldn’t pull her back.
But if he had the chance to have other children in his lifetime, he could agree to Daisy’s demands. However, just like Daisy, he may not have any more children in his lifetime. With only Elena as his only child, how could he possibly agree to that?
He would rather give half of his property to Daisy Willow than lose Elena.
However, at this point, he hoped more than anything that their family of three could have a chance to be reunited. As long as Daisy was willing to give him a chance, he would change for her to see.
"So..." Daisy’s eyes suddenly narrowed. Unexpectedly, Cole was so difficult to talk to.
"You can ask me for anything, but not Elena." Cole looked at Daisy and suddenly became resolute.
He knew that if Daisy could still calmly discuss divorce with him even in his mother’s situation, it meant that he couldn’t persuade her on his own. If he wanted to keep her, Elena was the only bargaining chip.
Cole was a businessman, and when negotiating with people, he knew to grasp their weaknesses, or at least hold on to what they cared about the most. Elena was now the person Daisy cared about the most. Therefore, only by keeping Elena could he keep Daisy with him. Even if Daisy would end up hating him, he couldn’t care less. He didn’t want to divorce, he really didn’t.
"Cole Duncan." Daisy suddenly called out his name loudly, "Why do you want to keep Elena? You know your mother doesn’t like her at all. You can’t even take care of yourself now, how can you take care of her? Don’t you know that she can’t even sleep properly in the house because of your mother? She’s your daughter. As her father, you can really bear to let her suffer such mental torture, can you?"
Daisy was really furious. She had tried to be gentle and polite, but it seemed to be of no use. Cole was impervious to reason.
He even wanted to keep Elena to let his mother torment her?
"...Daisy, my mom is Elena’s grandmother, and Elena is her own granddaughter. Do you really think it’s good to accuse her like this?" Cole probably didn’t expect that Daisy, a woman like her, could have such a big temper. This was the first time he had seen her like this, and it was clear that Daisy was really angry with him.
But he wasn’t angry at all because Daisy’s outburst made her face flush, and he found that the agitated Daisy was even more fascinating. She used to give in too much to him, so she lost her allure.
It’s true what they say; men are animals who appreciate a challenge.
When faced with a woman who always agrees with and follows them, men can’t get excited at all.
Is this an accusation? Cole Duncan, you are indeed an extremely filial son. You are a good son, but not a good father or a good husband. I once said that I wouldn’t regret being with you, but now I really regret it. Cole Duncan, I’m determined to divorce you. Since we can’t negotiate, let’s go the legal way. As for Elena, it’s not up to you or me to decide. Let the judge decide."
