Chapter 399: Chapter 399: The Wedding Date Is Set (3)

Carolline called Daisy Willow and asked her to clear her schedule three days later, telling her directly that the lawyer wanted to ask her some questions in person. Daisy Willow agreed very readily, which satisfied Carolline, so she hung up the phone.

When Bryan Hawkins was giving Axel a bath, he also took a quick shower himself, and then entered the room wrapped in a bath towel. Carolline was already lying in bed, reading a novel on her phone when she saw him, and jumped in surprise.

"It’s a good thing we have a son. If we had a daughter, would you dare to do this as a father?" Carolline felt that this man, who was already a father, didn’t really know his role.

"Well, let’s have a daughter next time, so you can also take a bath with her." Bryan Hawkins threw himself on the bed and pinned Carolline down, whispering in her ear and displaying his current desire without any reservations.

"You..." Carolline rolled her eyes at him. When did she ever say she wanted to have a second child? This man’s self-perception might be a little too good.

"Hold on, I have to bring the umbrella inside. If we’re going to get pregnant, we’ll have to wait until after our wedding." Bryan Hawkins said before hopping out of the room like a monkey, still wrapped in his bath towel.

Carolline shook her head speechlessly as she watched, putting her phone on the bedside table. Then, Bryan Hawkins quickly came back in and spent the rest of the time devouring Carolline, leaving nothing but bones.

The next day, Carolline lay on the bed like a puddle of mud, waiting for Bryan Hawkins to attend to her.

——Divider Line——

The parents of both families agreed to meet at seven o’clock in the evening on the second day of Henry Ruiz’s vacation at the Royal Winery for dinner and to discuss wedding preparations.

Henry Ruiz and Emily Hill didn’t prepare anything, as Bryan Hawkins specifically instructed, and it was also the intention of the Hawkins Family patriarch. However, the Hawkins Family prepared many betrothal gifts, all according to traditional customs.

When Henry Ruiz and Emily Hill arrived, they were shocked by the abundance of gifts brought by the Hawkins Family. There were clothes, hats, shoes, several large boxes, jewelry - more than ten sets -, as well as other beautifully packaged items.

"In-laws, you’re here? Please have a seat." Sophie Lawson, seeing the two of them, was particularly enthusiastic, having always looked forward to becoming in-laws with Henry Ruiz. Although it was five years late, it was finally happening.

"Thank you." Emily Hill said her thanks.

Bryan Hawkins personally escorted the couple whilst he parked the car in the parking lot. They then followed the waiter to the table.

"Old lady, hello, is your body still in good health?" As a member of the younger generation, Henry Ruiz greeted Mrs. Hawkins.

"Yes, it’s fine. Henry, our family has been looking forward to becoming in-laws with you. Now that our wish is finally coming true, I want to thank you and Emily for marrying Carolline to our family’s eldest son." Mrs. Hawkins said on her grandson’s behalf.

"Old lady, you’re joking. It’s Carolline’s good fortune to be able to marry Bryan Cooper, and it’s our Ruiz family’s luck to become in-laws with your Hawkins family. Don’t say that." Henry Ruiz was very humble.

As a father, he naturally knew how good his daughter was. However, it was one thing for others to praise her, and it was another thing for him to be shameless. They should always be humble, especially since Bryan Hawkins himself was not a bad person.

"All right, all right, let’s not talk like this anymore. You have the best daughter, and our family has a decent son. At last, the rich resources are not going to outsiders. Hahaha..." Austin Hawkins said heartily. There was no need for formalities between their two families, as they were about to become one big family, right?

"Yes, yes, yes." Henry Ruiz also laughed along, his laughter breaking the barrier caused by politeness.
