Chapter 387: Chapter 387: High-Profile Etiquette (8)

"Why are you fussing over your sister-in-law’s kindergarten job? She’s just the Deputy Director." Surprisingly, the old master from the Ruiz Family stood up for Emily Hill, "Axel, come over here and sit with your great-grandpa."

"Great-grandpa." Axel obediently walked over and began greeting everyone one by one, "Second grandpa, second grandma, third grandpa, third grandma, cousin aunts, cousin uncles..."

The Ruiz family was big, and it took Axel two minutes to finish greeting everyone. Everyone watched in amazement as the old master hugged Axel and sat him next to himself with a benevolent look on his face.

Finally, the old master spoke, "Alright, everybody get back to your own business. Axel, last time I told you I would teach you calligraphy. Let’s go to the study room now to practice your writing while we wait for your parents."

"There’s no need to bother, Dad. Bryan Cooper said that there will be a chef coming to help us with dinner, so we can just wait to eat. Besides, he’s prepared everything for us all." Emily Hill interjected.

"Suit yourselves." The old master waved his hand. Unusually for the normally frugal elder, he did not object to such an extravagance, which was highly suspicious.

When the old master took Axel away, everyone surrounded Emily Hill and started to ask questions all at once.

"Sis-in-law, back in the day you all insisted on keeping silent about who Axel’s father is, but what’s going on now? Who is Axel’s father?" The old man who was always impatient blurted out the question.

Bonnie Jenkins quickly put everything in the kitchen and rushed out. She was also curious. Who exactly was Axel’s father?

"Didn’t Dad tell you?" Emily Hill looked surprised. She thought the old master would not have been able to keep the secret.

Before she came, she had thought that perhaps the old master had already started bragging about it in front of the neighbors.

Even so, she would not have held it against him. After all, there was nothing to hide about the whole matter. By the time Henry returned, they would be officially meeting with Bryan Hawkins’ parents. She heard that the old lady had even chosen the auspicious day and they would be deciding the final date.

"Would we be asking you if he had told us, sis-in-law?" Bonnie Jenkins was somewhat speechless, wondering if Emily was playing dumb.

"Axel’s full name has always been Axel Hawkins. That’s the name on his household registration," Emily Hill frankly replied.

"..." Raymond Ruiz was instantly silent. So, it was true that his sister-in-law was involved with Bryan Hawkins. When he had asked Bryan for a favor through his sister-in-law, Raymond had wondered why Bryan had agreed so easily without even considering his proposal more carefully. It turns out that he had been enjoying the benefits of being related through Carrolline.

"Is this Bryan Hawkins the same Bryan Hawkins we know? Or just a namesake?" Natalie Parton asked in disbelief. Who isn’t aware of Bryan Hawkins’ reputation? Despite his young age, he managed to do so well in business, become the richest man in G City, and is seen as a once-in-a-century prodigy.

If Carolline’s husband and Axel’s father is indeed that Bryan Hawkins, then wouldn’t he far outshine Jasmine’s husband? Although Christopher Lopez is from Kyoto, when Jasmine got married, they as the bride’s family had visited the Lopez family. While the Lopez family is wealthy compared to common people in Kyoto, if compared to the Hawkins family, the Lopez family is not close competition.

"Wait till he arrives and see for yourself," Emily Hill responded. After all, she wasn’t in charge of the population registry. How should she know how many individuals named Bryan Hawkins there are in G City?
