Chapter 362: Chapter 362: Frequency Problem (8)
Carolline was studying medicine, so when she encountered shameless individuals like Bryan, she had to be even more shameless than them. Even though saying those words made her blush and her heart race, she couldn’t help it.
She estimated that among those working in medical-related professions, she was the only one who couldn’t face the human reproductive issues calmly. She thought about Megan, and her frankness was truly remarkable.
Just saying these words could make a group of men blush.
With that kind of courage, Carolline doubted she’d ever learn it in her life.
"Really? You think so little of your husband? Then let’s put it to the test." Bryan Hawkins pretended to be angry. If it weren’t for her pitiful look and the fact that he’d drained her energy, he would have made her pay for her ’reckless words’ at this moment.
"..." Put what to the test? Carolline was confused and bewildered.
"Since you didn’t object, I’ll take it as a direct agreement. It’s just like cleaning, doing it every day won’t tire you out too much. But if you let it pile up and then have to do it all on one day, you’ll be exhausted. So, the more frequent we do it, the less you’ll suffer. Isn’t that right?" Bryan continued his twisted logic.
Carolline rolled her eyes and didn’t bother to argue, she really didn’t want to deal with him. Taking such a serious approach to discussing the frequency of their intimate endeavors, where was this man’s dignity? She wondered.
Before, she always thought he was elegant and noble, like an immortal who didn’t deign to mix with mere mortals. Now, he was completely rascal-like.
But Carolline didn’t find it disgusting at all. Instead, she found this version of Bryan more approachable and easier to get close to. Fine, she had to admit, she had a masochistic streak in her.
Just like Celia Wade had said, she’d fallen for Bryan Hawkins, this cunning fox, in this life. Carolline still couldn’t quite understand why Celia would describe Bryan as a fox.
"Get up, let’s tell grandma and our parents that we won’t be back today. I still have to take Axel to see Elena Duncan. I promised him before." Little Elena was still at her parents’ house, and Carolline couldn’t help but worry since Elena hadn’t been at the Hospital the entire previous day. Fortunately, Elena had gotten used to living with Emily Hill and her family, while Daisy Willow had become more comfortable with them as well.
Carolline had to work the next day, so whether it was at Pupace Mountain or Bluen Lake Wonderland, it was inconvenient for her to get to work.
When Carolline got up, she couldn’t help but hiss. Her legs were completely limp and sore. It was all Bryan’s fault; she wanted to scream. Just how hungry was he? He dared to say that she had lousy stamina, but apart from her gastroenteritis, she hadn’t neglected sports and rarely caught colds or fell ill.
"So, Elena is still staying at your parents’ house?" Bryan Hawkins noticed Carolline’s discomfort. He placed two pillows behind her back, making her lean more comfortably, and began to massage her legs with both hands.
At first, Carolline was a bit resistant, but she gradually relaxed after realizing that Bryan had no other intentions, other than massaging. "Yes, I don’t feel comfortable letting her go home with a grandma like that," she admitted.
"You’re really treating her like our future daughter-in-law now?" Bryan started to tease.
He didn’t object to Axel and Elena Duncan getting along well. However, he had only referred to Elena as Axel’s little girlfriend in jest, and he didn’t want Carolline to take her role as the daughter-in-law too seriously just yet.
They had so much time to grow up, who knew what they would encounter along the way. It wouldn’t be fair to Axel to tie up his feelings now.
