Chapter 349: Chapter 349: Axel Recognizing Relatives (3)

"Just this once, just this one time, and never again." Bryan Hawkins stepped forward, pulling her over to sit with him, wearing a smile on his face.

What else could Carolline Ruiz say? She hated it the most when Bryan Hawkins was playing around and laughing, but she couldn’t get angry with his thick-faced image. The family of three suddenly burst into laughter while chatting, and Bryan Hawkins ordered Carolline a milkshake.

Carolline couldn’t resist the flattery of the father and son, so she ate it.

The three of them didn’t notice a woman disguised beside them, looking at them in astonishment, especially staring at Bryan Hawkins. In her eyes, Hawkins Family’s Big Brother seemed hard to approach. It was her first time seeing this Big Brother showing such a side to a woman and child.

Gentle, patient, and deliberately appeasing the woman, Madelyn Lincoln couldn’t believe her own eyes. She stared blankly, unable to tear her gaze away.

So, even men who give off weird vibes act like normal people in front of certain individuals. The sight of Bryan Hawkins in this scene gave her the impression of an ordinary man.

It seemed that Carolline felt the gaze and looked up. At that moment, Madelyn Lincoln timely withdrew her gaze and pretended to search for something in her bag, successfully avoiding attention.

Axel quickly finished eating, Carolline handed him a tissue to wipe his mouth, and reminded him a few things. The family then left.

As they departed, Axel moved ahead, bouncing and jumping happily. Bryan Hawkins and Carolline held hands, their fingers intertwined. Xavier Estrada had arrived earlier and taken their luggage to the car.

After walking for a while, Carolline realized she had left something behind. Bryan Hawkins wanted to accompany her, but she asked him to watch Axel. She worried that there were many malicious people around, and although Axel was clever and smart, he was still a child, so contending with an adult wouldn’t be easy.

Bryan Hawkins reluctantly let her go alone. Carolline went back to the store and met Sophie Carlson’s gaze. Sophie was already wearing a mask, and they both smiled before Carolline took her belongings and left.

Sophie sighed with relief. However, what she didn’t expect was that, not long after she left, William Hawkins found her, brought her back to Hawkins Family, and "criticized" her severely.

As the family rode in the car, Axel got tired. Not even five minutes into the drive, he fell asleep in the backseat. Bryan Hawkins was still in good spirits, but Carolline worried he was tired too. "Why don’t I drive?"

Carolline could drive, but she rarely did, mainly because there weren’t many places where she needed to.

"It’s alright, don’t worry. As long as my wife and child are in the car, I won’t let anything happen to you," Bryan Hawkins said softly, smiling.

"That’s not what I’m worried about." Carolline lowered her head and whispered in defense. She was worried that he was too tired, especially considering the little guy in the backseat who was snoring from exhaustion.

"Let’s discuss something; let’s go to Hawkins family for dinner tonight. Grandma wants to see us," Bryan Hawkins suddenly said, catching Carolline off guard. She thought it would be a while before they went to meet Grandma.

She didn’t expect it to be today. Of course, she had remarried Bryan Hawkins, so meeting his Grandma in Hawkins Family was inevitable. It just caught her off guard.

"What’s wrong? Not ready yet?" Bryan Hawkins asked softly, seeing Carolline’s astonishment. He was reflecting on whether he had brought up this matter too hastily.

On the plane earlier, when he told Axel they’d go to Great Grandma’s house for dinner, Axel agreed without hesitation. He was eager to meet his Great Grandma, and Bryan Hawkins was happy about it.
