Chapter 341: Chapter 341: Who is it (4)

Daisy Willow truly loved him, but his actions over the years had deeply hurt this woman and betrayed her deep affection and friendship for him.

People often seemed to need to experience certain things before they could come to their senses. Cole Duncan really didn’t know if, after everything had developed to this point, Daisy Willow would still give him a chance.

He knew that if Daisy Willow insisted on divorcing him, it wouldn’t be because he was disabled. Instead, it would be because her heart had truly been hurt by him. Besides, downstairs, there was a woman who had lost her child and ruined her appearance because of him. With such a burden, he really didn’t know if he could still bring happiness to Daisy Willow or if they could ever return to their once perfect home.

"I’ll wash the dishes first." Daisy Willow held back many words, as Cole was under immense emotional stress at this time, and she didn’t want to add any more pressure to him now.

Just at that moment, Carolline Ruiz came in, holding Elena Duncan’s hand. She saw Daisy Willow about to wash their dishes and noticed that Mrs. Duncan and the supposedly butler-like figure in Elena’s description were present.

"Leave them. The Duncan Family hires servants with money. Aren’t these trivial chores supposed to be done by the servants? Otherwise, what’s the point of the Duncan Family hiring servants and a butler?" Carolline Ruiz spoke directly to Daisy Willow, mainly because she was angry at Mrs. Duncan’s haughty attitude. "Daisy, come have your meal. Elena brought you breakfast."

Seeing Daisy Willow not moving, Carolline Ruiz took the used dishes from her hands, placed them on the table, and said, "It doesn’t matter if they’re not washed. Just take them back dirty to wash. Otherwise, we can use them to hold food for your young master to eat."

Mrs. Duncan and the butler’s faces darkened immediately. This was the first time Mrs. Duncan’s attendant had ever seen a mere nurse daring to show such disrespect to their lady.

"What are you meddling in our affairs for?" Mrs. Duncan was furious. When she managed the household matters and even outside the house, people would give her respect because of Cole Duncan. But this little nurse dared to speak against her, to her surprise, and Cole Duncan even defended her earlier.

"Mrs. Duncan, please speak politely. I have never had any interest in meddling with your family’s affairs." As Carolline said this, she urged Elena and Daisy Willow to join her at another table to have breakfast. They enjoyed Emily Hill’s sumptuous and nutritious breakfast with a strong aroma.

Mrs. Duncan just glared, her face dark. Seeing Elena eating so happily, she couldn’t help but feel a surge of anger with nowhere to vent. Carolline was still here and showed no intention of leaving. She wanted to vent her anger on Daisy Willow and Elena, but because of Carolline, she forced herself to suppress her emotions.

This nurse named Carolline Ruiz really didn’t know when to give in. Later, Mrs. Duncan would make her see her true power.

At this time, even Cole Duncan didn’t think of speaking up for his mother. Instead, he felt that Carolline had an upright character, and it was good for Daisy Willow to have such a friend.

After Daisy Willow and Elena finished their breakfast, Elena insisted on staying with Daisy in the ward. Carolline didn’t persist either. "Daisy, this week, let Elena stay at our house. At noon, we’ll bring you lunch. If you’re tired, come to our house to rest. It’s not good to stay in the Hospital all the time. You need a change of air. You’re paying for the caretaker, so don’t let your husband and mother-in-law’s money go to waste."

Mrs. Duncan’s face turned pale with anger once more. After saying that, Carolline left, thinking that as long as Elena was there, Mrs. Duncan would be more cautious with her words.
