On the television, the headline news this morning was about the explicit photos and videos of celebrity Matilda Ferguson. The background was not the garbage station in Carolline’s memory, but a private room where Matilda was with six muscular men. The naked photos were genuinely eye-popping.

Matilda’s title had previously been that of Jade Maiden, but now she had become a promiscuous woman. As an insider, Carolline naturally guessed who was behind this. She had not expected that Bryan could have such a tactic. Matilda was probably ruined now.

Carolline had no sympathy for Matilda. Thinking of what that woman wanted to do to her last night, Carolline’s hatred gnashed her teeth. So, Carolline believed that any retribution Matilda faced was deserved.

After the explicit photos were exposed, the Hawkins family issued a statement, disqualifying Matilda from being their spokesperson and demanding 5 million in breach of contract compensation since she caused such a scandal.

The Hawkins’ spokesperson was planning to sign Lucy Wade, the second place winner at the time.

Carolline was happy for Lucy. Just as she was thinking about her, she received a call from Lucy. “Your Bryan is so handsome today, Carolline. By the way, how did Matilda cause such a big scandal?”

“Alright, with that money, treat me to a meal.” Carolline nodded, trying to appear as normal as possible so as not to let Lucy know.

“Of course. I’ll be back after the New Year, don’t miss me too much.” After saying this, Lucy hung up the phone.

Carolline smiled, thinking of Lucy’s proud and complacent look, and suddenly sighed. Living was really better than dying; she had so many people and friends around her to care for.

When Emily came back, Carolline turned off the television, “Why are you not watching anymore?”

“I’m a bit sleepy, I want to sleep now.” Carolline spoke softly.

“Alright, you go to sleep. I talked to Uncle Andy, and you won’t be picking him up at the airport tomorrow. Andy Aguirre will understand.” Emily suddenly remembered this matter.
