Chapter 1124: 009 Simon Carrington’s Outburst_2

"What do you mean?" Stella Carrington didn’t understand, and neither did Heidi Carrington.

Especially since Shane Auclair was crying and talking, her words weren’t clear, and the two children were even more confused.

"Mom, can you stop crying for a moment and tell us what happened?" Heidi Carrington really couldn’t stand Shane Auclair’s demeanor at the moment. Even if playing the pity card for sympathy was her aim, couldn’t she explain the matter clearly first?

"Yeah, Auntie, be clearer, what exactly did my dad do?" Stella Carrington meant the same.

Shane Auclair then wiped away her tears and recounted to them what Simon Carrington had done to Henry Carrington. Of course, she concealed that it was all Henry’s own doing, instead shifting all the blame onto Simon Carrington’s shoulders. She even claimed it was because Simon Carrington had resented them for taking over Stella’s care, suggesting that his actions were purely out of revenge against them.

"Did my dad really do this to Uncle just because of this?" Stella Carrington could hardly believe it. She hadn’t received a single call from Simon Carrington in the past month, so she couldn’t bring herself to believe that Simon Carrington would target Uncle just because of her.

"What, you think my mom would lie to you?" Heidi Carrington was annoyed with Stella Carrington’s clueless attitude. Even if it had only been a month, she’d had enough of this girl. Since her uncle had turned his back on them so suddenly, she had no reason to be nice to Stella anymore.

Shane Auclair quickly reached out to pull her beloved daughter. At a time like this, they absolutely couldn’t afford a fallout with Stella; otherwise, Simon Carrington was even less likely to let her husband off the hook.

Their family relied on Henry Carrington as the pillar; if he were to fall, how were she and her daughter going to live from now on?

Who, once accustomed to abundance, could adapt again to a life of destitution?

Let alone mother and daughter, who had long been used to their illustrious lifestyle. The titles of Mrs. Carrington and Miss Carrington were deeply ingrained in their bones, so they couldn’t afford to lose this glory, absolutely not.

"...." Stella Carrington looked at Heidi Carrington, puzzled. She didn’t understand why Heidi, who had always been kind to her, was now lashing out, just because her father did what Auntie had described. But Stella was just hearing about it now; she was innocent, so why had Sister Heidi turned her anger on her?

"Sorry, Stella. I’m just worried about my dad, and I trust my mom. If she says it was Uncle that did it, then it must be right. You’ve been around Auntie long enough, you should have some idea – aren’t you?" Heidi Carrington changed her tone, apologizing to Stella.

"Right, I’ll call my dad now and ask him in person." Stella nodded. She needed Uncle’s family to protect her from the storm, so she didn’t want them to face such trouble. If her dad had indeed taken revenge on Uncle’s family because of her, then begging for mercy should resolve the situation.

If she was respectful and sincere enough, Simon Carrington and Daisy Willow were still easy to deceive.

After all, she would never forgive Daisy Willow and Elena Duncan for entering their home so brazenly, parading around like the lady of the house, with Elena acting as though she were already the Carrington family’s young lady.

However, with Shane Auclair and Heidi watching, Stella tried calling Simon Carrington. The call went through, but no one answered.

Stella Carrington tried calling three more times with the same result, then put down the phone. Shane Auclair cried even harder, "Your dad’s not even answering your calls. It looks like your Uncle might be beyond help now, sob sob sob... Why is my life so full of suffering!"

Stella Carrington + Heidi Carrington: "...."

Stella couldn’t even stay at Henry Carrington’s house anymore. The servant had made dinner, but Shane Auclair refused to come out to eat, leaving just her and Heidi sitting face to face, and Stella realized that Heidi didn’t even want to talk to her.

"Sister Heidi, are you blaming me, too?" Stella Carrington hadn’t expected her father to act this way. Knowing that she lived at her uncle’s place, and being his daughter, what had Uncle done to make her father disregard even his daughter’s dignity and deal with Uncle like that?

Now it made her unsure how to face Auntie and Sister Heidi.

"...Let’s eat," said Heidi Carrington. She wanted to lose her temper but, worried that Uncle Simon might really harm her dad, held back.
