Chapter 1094: 003 Stella Carrington and Liam Carrington’s Origins_3

The final sentence was Simon Carrington actually explaining that his previous words were indeed serious and contained no joking. He truly liked Daisy Willow and admired her, which was why he had made such a suggestion.

However, they were all parents now, probably unable to express love as openly as young people do.

But Daisy Willow completely failed to realize that the final sentence was the main point Simon Carrington wanted to relay. She was shocked by Stella Carrington’s background and also by Liam Carrington, who had actually come into this world through artificial insemination.

How profoundly must Irene Houston have loved that man, to remain chaste for him even though she was married to someone else?

No wonder she had been so casual about divorcing Simon Carrington. It seems that aside from worrying about Stella, she really wasn’t too concerned about anything else.

At least Liam was Simon Carrington’s son, his own son, but Stella wasn’t, which made her worry that Stella might be mistreated.

This was also why she was so doting towards Stella when she was with her—because she loved Stella’s father. Perhaps she had transferred all her love for Stella’s father onto their daughter, which was why Stella had always been pampered. Now, she felt threatened that someone might contest this pampering and was merely protecting her interests.

"So that’s it, poor child, Stella..." Daisy Willow genuinely felt pity for Stella now. A child who had lost her father even before she was born—how could one not feel compassion for her?

Before, she had thought Stella was just a spoiled child, but now she saw that was not the case.

"She’s actually quite happy now. At least, she knows the love of a father and a mother, unaware that she actually lacks a biological father, and moreover, she has a brother, and later on, there will be Elena as her sister." Simon Carrington did not find Stella pitiable, as she was far more fortunate than true orphans.

Even though Irene Houston was away from home a lot, when she was with Stella, her devotion and love were wholehearted.

When they were about to say more, a rustling sound from outside prompted Simon Carrington to stride over and open the door, where he saw Elena Duncan leading Liam Carrington back to their room.

"Elena, Liam, come in," Simon Carrington said sternly, and Daisy Willow, following him, changed her expression too. Had their earlier conversation been overheard by the two children?

"Uncle Simon, Liam just got here; he doesn’t know anything. He was just looking for me, so please let him go back. I’ll stay," Elena said, having never seen Simon Carrington with such a stern expression. Both children were a bit scared, but even so, Elena spoke the truth.

She had come looking for Daisy Willow, thinking her mother had finished talking with Uncle Simon, but she had not expected to overhear such shocking news.

So, Stella Carrington was not actually Uncle Simon’s daughter, just like her, she was not Liam’s sister. She knew it—she had never seen any sister who didn’t love her brother as she did.

It turned out to be because she really wasn’t Liam’s sister.

Liam might have been waiting in their room for too long and had come looking for her. She was just about to head back when the two little ones bumped into each other.

And thus, they were caught eavesdropping.

"Liam, go back to your room and sleep. Elena, come in," Simon Carrington nodded, instructing while also asking a servant downstairs to take Liam away.

Elena followed them into the study, and Simon Carrington walked over and sat down on a chair across from her.

This was the first time Elena had seen Simon Carrington so serious, and she was a bit frightened, but she still managed to appear calm. Elena had a relatively strong mental constitution.

"Elena, take a seat," Simon Carrington said, not intending to reprimand her, "You heard everything, didn’t you?"

"Yes, but I can assure you, I won’t speak of it to anyone," Elena promised. She was genuinely surprised when she heard that Stella Carrington was not Uncle Simon’s biological daughter.

Additionally, she felt Stella was quite pitiable.

"Of course, I believe you. Uncle Simon asked you to come in so he could apologize on Stella’s behalf. I know she hasn’t been very polite to you or your mother. Perhaps it’s because her mother left her, and she is finding it hard to accept. Give her some time; I believe she will get better, okay?" Simon Carrington was not trying to trouble Elena.
