Her wish was simple, just to live a happy life with Bernard Taylor.

Bernard Taylor drove to the amusement park, bought a recharge card at the entrance, loaded it with a hundred yuan, of which sixty would be used for the Ferris Wheel ride, and the remaining forty could be used for other attractions.

Today wasn’t a weekend, so those riding the Ferris Wheel were mostly college students with fewer classes and young couples, with fewer children and even some individuals riding alone.

A single rotation took about forty minutes.

The two followed the queue and quickly got their turn due to the smaller crowd. They got on, and although Avery Graham intended to sit on one side by herself, Bernard Taylor insisted on pulling her next to him.

The Ferris Wheel slowly ascended, and Bernard Taylor held Avery Graham’s hand tightly as they talked and looked out the window, enjoying the gradual climb.

"Remember to make a wish when we reach the top," Avery Graham reminded.

"Sure," Bernard Taylor said with a smile. He had heard of this legend too, and suggesting to ride the Ferris Wheel was partly due to this wish-making legend.

Besides wishing, there was another rumor he heard, that kissing at the highest point of the Ferris Wheel felt the best. He wanted to try that as well.

What Avery Graham hadn’t anticipated was that as they reached the top, just as she had closed her eyes to make a wish, Bernard Taylor kissed her. In the end, she could only wholeheartedly engage in his kiss, forgetting to make her wish.

After kissing for a while, Bernard Taylor finally let her go.

As they came down, Avery Graham was still complaining, "It’s all your fault, I didn’t get to make a wish."

"How about we go once more?" Bernard Taylor suggested.

No, let’s leave it for another time. Riding it twice in the same day, the wish won’t come true anymore," Avery shook her head.

After getting off the Ferris Wheel, they tried another attraction for twenty yuan and then left the amusement park.

It was dinner time, and Avery Graham suggested having Western cuisine since today was originally planned for their marriage registration at the Civil Affairs Bureau. Although it didn’t happen due to unexpected circumstances, it was still a day worth celebrating.

Bernard Taylor nodded; he had already arranged it. Initially, they were supposed to go to Emperory for Western cuisine, but because of an unpleasant incident last time, Bernard Taylor changed to a different restaurant.

Though the grade was somewhat below Emperory’s, the chef at this restaurant was still skilled.

When they arrived at the Steak House, it was completely empty. Bernard Taylor explained, "Yeah, I’ve booked the whole place for tonight."

"Being rich really lets you do whatever you want," Avery Graham remarked, shaking her head repeatedly in astonishment.

With no one else around, this dining environment was unusual for her, but since Bernard Taylor arranged it, Avery Graham still accepted it, hoping it wouldn’t set a precedent.

"..." Bernard Taylor knew she was being sarcastic, "I thought today was special, so I wanted it to be romantic."

Today was indeed very special. Once-in-a-century system crash at the Civil Affairs Bureau happened just as we were there; isn’t that special?" Avery Graham loved to find joy in every situation, and what was originally a frustrating incident turned into something quite amusing as she spoke of it in this tone.

"That’s true," Bernard Taylor laughed.

The two went in, and an entire staff was at their service, providing a lavish dining experience that Avery Graham was enjoying for the first time. Accompanied by elegant and melodious violin music, they had a delightful meal.

Since Avery Graham planned to visit the night market later, she genuinely ate little, and Bernard Taylor didn’t eat much either. Therefore, what was supposed to be a romantic dinner planned to last till they went home ended quite early.

Afterward, they went to the night market. Upon reaching, Avery Graham fully unleashed her nature, indulging in eating, drinking, and playing thoroughly.

Skewers tasted much better than steaks, along with Hot Pot and various other snacks. Avery Graham ate until she couldn’t anymore and then played ring toss and video games, greatly enjoying herself.

Eventually, they encountered a little girl selling flowers. Avery Graham, feeling pity, bought all the remaining flowers from her, allowing the girl to head home early.

Later, when they saw the same girl still holding a large bouquet and tragically selling them around, Avery Graham felt deceived, ultimately throwing away the flowers she had purchased.
