Scum Daddy Dreams Of Stealing My Mommy! -
Chapter 49 President Hart’s Confession
Chapter 49: Chapter 49 President Hart’s Confession
In the living room, Kane held a computer, his fingers swiftly dancing across the keyboard.
He was a computer genius who could hack into anyone’s account and make their lives hell if they ever insulted him.
Noah and Ethan didn’t understand what was happening, but they were sensible and didn’t fuss, just cautiously watching the adults.
Amelia didn’t want the children to worry about her and said to Kane, "Didn’t you promise to take them out today?"
Kane was puzzled, "Go out now?"
As soon as he finished his question, he realized, "Oh, right... no one knows these are your kids."
The man stuffed his laptop into a backpack and stood up, calling out, "Wild kids, let’s go! Time to have fun!"
Ethan, ever carefree, cheered immediately.
But Noah looked at his mom with concern.
Amelia walked up to her older son and gently stroked his head, soothing him, "Go have fun. Mommy has to work. I’ll join you next time."
"Well, okay..."
After Kane took the kids away, Amelia finally relaxed and picked up her phone, pondering over whether she should issue a statement as well.
But with Lily’s sarcastic remarks already out there, who would listen to her explanation?
It would only add fuel to the fire.
The doorbell rang, and she started, looking up at Shaw, "Did they come back?"
"I don’t know, did they forget something?"
Shaw, also puzzled, went to open the door.
As the door swung open and she saw the tall, handsome man standing there, Shaw’s eyes widened and her mouth dropped open, her hand covering a gasp...
This... this could only be—
"Where’s your boss?" Christopher asked in a low voice.
Shaw was stunned before turning around, striking her head with her fist to regain composure, "Sis, that guy... Mr. Hart is here!"
Without waiting for a response from inside, the man stepped into the living room.
Watching his retreating figure, Shaw stifled her exclamation and hurriedly took out her phone to snap a photo.
In person, he looked even more handsome and charming than online!
His aura could eclipse any celebrity or model!
Oh my... no wonder Noah and Ethan are so handsome—their parents have extraordinary looks!
When Amelia heard Shaw’s announcement, she abruptly looked up just as the man was approaching.
She stood up in shock, her eyes nearly popping out, "What are you doing here? Do you think the current mess isn’t enough? Do you want to cause me more trouble?"
Amelia was furious to her core! She got up without a second thought and shoved her hands at him.
"Get out! Now, immediately!"
She threw her full strength into it, but Christopher was tall and had been regularly working out, so her pushes were ineffective.
After she pushed him a few times, he lost patience and grabbed her wrists with one hand.
"Ah! What are you doing!" Amelia cried out in pain.
Shaw watched the scene while munching on popcorn, fists clenched and biting her hand, hesitating whether to keep watching or just look on.
Amelia struggled hard but couldn’t get free, her face red with anger and ears steaming, "Christopher! You are too much! This is my house! Please, leave immediately! Or I’ll call the police!"
She wasn’t just making an empty threat; she really took out her phone to dial 110.
But the man remained unfazed, quickly grabbing her phone with his other hand and tossing it onto the sofa.
Shaw’s heart was pounding with excitement and nervousness as she stared at the standoff between the two.
Gosh! It’s even better than a teen idol drama!
"You—"
"Have you had enough trouble? If so, sit down and listen to me," Christopher finally spoke, his deep eyes quietly fixating on her with a low and slow tone.
There was a band-aid on his forehead, adding a touch of painful beauty to his already stunningly handsome face, giving him a kind of righteous yet wicked charm.
Amelia, infuriated to the point of wanting to commit murder, found herself suddenly calmed by his deep and obscure gaze as if magic had been cast.
The man then took her wrist and led her to the sofa to sit down.
Amelia calmed down, quickly struggled free from his grasp, and shifted her position to maintain distance from him.
Regaining her sense, she recalled a more severe issue.
His timing was so coincidental; had he encountered Kane and the children downstairs?
Fortunately, he had asked Kane to take the boys out, otherwise his sudden appearance would have been—
The thought of that scenario made Amelia’s heart pound and sent shivers down her spine.
Christopher looked at her, pondered for a moment, and took the initiative to clarify, "The statement online was not written at my request, and its content is absurd! I have never loved her, and I never will."
Amelia suddenly turned back and stared at him.
Feeling warmth at her heart, she quickly averted her gaze and shifted further away.
"You don’t need to explain this to me; you need to explain to the public, clarify that there is nothing between us."
"I said it, but will people believe it?"
"How would you know without saying? Especially after Miss Garcia posted that post, my reputation has been completely ruined. If you, as the party involved, don’t clarify, who else could testify for me?"
Looking at her gloomy and indignant face, the man was silent for a moment, his brows slightly furrowed, "I’ll speak out, but it will be on my terms."
"What do you mean?" She was confused, frowning.
"I don’t love Lily Garcia, nor will I compromise my marriage because of an obligation."
Therefore, once he spoke out, he would certainly announce the breaking off of the engagement and at the same time confirm his relationship with the woman before him—hence his visit, to have a proper talk with her face to face.
"Then why did you agree in the first place? And why haven’t you clarified things with her over these years?"
Amelia thought to herself, after so many years, he still hasn’t changed! He never appreciates the people by his side!
On this matter, Christopher found himself without an excuse to defend himself.
He only knew that what once seemed bearable was suddenly unbearable.
He thought he had long forgotten his ex-wife, but when this woman appeared again—he realized he had not forgotten her at all, even recalling all her good qualities after so many years.
Even though she had once done such evil deeds and even betrayed him.
Perhaps he was mad.
These past few days, he had been thinking, even if this woman weren’t Amelia, he wouldn’t let go now.
Consider it a form of repentance and apology to Amelia.
Of course, such a disgraceful psychological notion, he would never voice.
So, he could only use another reason.
"Hope doesn’t like Lily Garcia, and these years, it was also because of Hope’s opposition that I didn’t marry her."
"Now, since a more suitable person has appeared, someone who makes Hope happy and joyful, I, as a father, have no reason not to satisfy my daughter."
The more Amelia listened, the more confused and shocked she became.
She turned her head and stared disbelievingly at his handsome face, took a while to digest the information, and then asked with difficulty, "Do you mean... could it be, you have... feelings for me?"
