Chapter 432: Chapter 432: Romance and Straightforward Women
Amelia Garcia was still busy in the kitchen when she heard the children shouting.
"Dad’s back! Dad’s back!"
"Mom, Dad’s back really early today!"
"Dad~ you finally didn’t work overtime!"
The three little ones were bouncing around the living room, then ran to the kitchen door to report to their mom before dashing out.
Christopher Hart had just gotten out of the car.
He can stand now, moving a bit more conveniently.
Sitting in the wheelchair, he gestured for the driver to hand him the bouquet of flowers.
The three little ones just rushed over, seeing Uncle Driver hand the huge and beautiful bouquet to Dad, and their big, pretty eyes widened.
Hope: "Wow... such beautiful flowers!"
Ethan: "Dad, are you giving these to Mom?"
Mr. Hart: "Of course, who else would I give them to if not Mom?"
Hope said enviously, "You could give them to me too."
"Uh..." Mr. Hart felt a bit troubled, seeing his daughter looking hopeful. He reached into the bouquet and pulled out one flower, "Here, this one’s for you."
Hope looked at Dad with disdain, pouting as she reluctantly took the flower, "Why does Mom get such a big bouquet, and I only get one flower? Dad, you have Mom now, so you don’t love Hope anymore, right?"
Ethan laughed foolishly beside her, "Sis, do you know what ’Parents are true love, children are accidents’ means?"
Hope snorted, "I don’t know! And I don’t want to know!"
Noah immediately tried to comfort his sister, "Next time, I’ll buy you a big bouquet! Dad probably did something wrong and made Mom angry, that’s why he’s buying flowers to apologize and cheer her up."
"..." Christopher Hart shot his eldest son a glare, "If I made your mom angry, would she still personally cook delicious food for me?"
"Dad, you’re really shameless! Mom cooked herself because we wanted to eat!" Ethan said confidently and stylishly.
Christopher Hart: "..."
These three little ones simply can’t bear to see him having a good time, every word they say is like stepping on a landmine!
Poor him with his inconvenient legs, otherwise, he would definitely pick one of them up and give them a good spanking!
Amelia Garcia heard the children say Dad was back and found it strange.
It was just past five, yet he was home already—did he skip work in the afternoon?
After putting the soup to simmer, she wiped her hands and came out of the kitchen, just in time to run into the returning children.
"Mom, look, Dad’s so stingy, he only gave me one flower!" Hope held up the solitary pink rose in her hand, opening up to complain to Mom.
Amelia Garcia paused for a moment, "Dad even bought flowers?"
Ethan exclaimed, "He did, a huge bouquet!"
Before the children finished speaking, Christopher Hart came rolling in through the living room door in his wheelchair.
Indeed, he was holding a large bouquet of flowers.
Pink roses, wrapped specially and elegantly, each one the same size, petals overlapping layers, blooming with bright and full colors—beautiful beyond compare.
The bouquet was surrounded by tiny twinkling lights, making the petals look even more tender and beautiful, truly stunning.
Tsk tsk, this was clearly a romantic gesture to woo a young lady.
Amelia Garcia was surprised, her expression stunned, she paused for two seconds then slightly smiled, "What on earth made you buy flowers?"
On the way back, Christopher Hart imagined countless scenes of presenting flowers and confessing, wondering if he should seize the opportunity to propose again, find a time to get the marriage certificate—although it was somewhat contrary to his vows from a few days ago, but to hold his beloved openly, a slap in the face is worth it.
But he didn’t expect that she would see the flowers and instead of being shy or moved, would start with words that pierce the heart!
Mr. Hart’s mouth twitched, he held back the urge to retort, responding tenderly, "Why did I buy flowers? Last time I gave you some, you casually let the assistant handle them, today I’m personally delivering them with both hands—may I ask if Ms. Garcia could accept them?"
Amelia Garcia laughed out loud, covering her nose with her hand, blushing all over.
"I think you’re not only muddled but confused; speaking so formally sounds really unusual."
Christopher Hart was in a good mood today, good temper too, no matter how she ridiculed or teased, he kept a charming smile on his handsome face, with eyes extraordinarily gentle.
The wheelchair advanced a little further, he lifted the bouquet solemnly and seriously said, "Amelia, thank you."
A simple thank you, Amelia Garcia stared at him, understanding the deeper meaning behind it.
Women love romance, dream of being cherished by the men they adore.
No matter how strong or independent, she felt the same.
Seeing his genuine sincerity, she naturally felt touched.
But the children didn’t understand, standing between their dad and mom, seeing them staring at each other foolishly, they looked around in confusion.
"See, I told you Dad made Mom angry again! Mom isn’t forgiving him!"
"Dad, if giving flowers doesn’t help, you might have to kneel on a durian!"
"Dad, if Mom doesn’t want them, give them to me! I love them so much!"
Christopher Hart was full of sincerity, yet was disrupted by his own kids, ruining the moment completely.
He glared at the children and said softly, "Go play!"
"Mom, for Dad’s sake of admitting his mistakes, forgive him!" Ethan was thinking about the delicious food in the kitchen, just wanting mom to quickly accept the flowers and hurry back to cooking delicious food.
Amelia Garcia snapped back and saw the man holding the flowers struggling a bit, she laughed and asked, "Who said Dad did something wrong?"
"If not, why would he randomly give Mom flowers?"
"Exactly, we just learned a new term—acting friendly without reason must be up to no good!"
"..." Amelia Garcia was puzzled, speechless.
Looking again at the wronged Mr. Hart, his mouth twitched even more, losing grip on the flowers as he dropped them and chastised, "Can’t you guys learn something good?"
"Dad, since when does knowledge differentiate between good and bad?"
"..."
Amelia Garcia watched the amusing interaction between father and son, bending down with a smile to take the flowers, "Alright, don’t stoop to the children’s level, you’re so grown-up!"
"They’re wrongly accusing me."
"Well, your actions are too misleading for them."
"Is it wrong for me to give you flowers?"
"Okay okay, it’s not wrong. It’s not wrong." Holding the beautiful bouquet, Amelia Garcia couldn’t help but feel really delighted.
She hadn’t experienced such sweetness and romance in her youth, now someone is willing to make it up, she’s naturally happy to accept it.
Christopher Hart watched her bury her face in the flowers, smiling beautifully, her brows curved, looking lovely even with an apron on, with an added charm of everyday simplicity, he felt even more moved.
"Amelia... let’s find some time to get the marriage certificate first." He said uncontrollably.
Amelia Garcia seriously thought about it, "No rush, if the company’s situation is stable, why don’t you take the time to have your leg surgery done. I want to wait until you recover so we can take a proper photo for the certificate—what do you say?"
Christopher Hart seemed to sigh, mocking himself, "I must be the man with the most marriage proposal rejections."
