Scum Daddy Dreams Of Stealing My Mommy!
Chapter 193: President Hart Unleashes Passionate Pursuit

Chapter 193: Chapter 193: President Hart Unleashes Passionate Pursuit

Amelia Garcia admitted that she indeed harbored ulterior motives for not wanting either of her sons to acknowledge their ancestors and return to their clan.

First, she didn’t want any entanglement with the Hart Family.

Second, she didn’t want to hurt her innocent daughter because of this.

Third, she did feel a bit vengeful.

Why should she be defamed as a murderer back then, and now that the truth had come out, they still refused to apologize?

One lives for dignity.

She couldn’t swallow her pride, and she wanted the Harts to give her an explanation.

If they still didn’t feel they were in the wrong, then it only meant that there was something fundamentally wrong with their moral character.

Such people were not fit to be the grandparents of her sons.

She was also worried that, once her sons recognized them, they might be led astray by bad influences.

Therefore, it was best to keep a distance, forever if necessary.

If there ever came a day when her sons would acknowledge their ancestors and willingly call them grandparents, then they had to treat her daughter with the same affection.

Whether a boy or a girl, all should be treated equally—that’s the right set of values.

Christopher Hart, however, had never thought about such deep issues.

After all, they were his parents.

He was disgusted, yet he still couldn’t stay completely detached and objectively fair when faced with situations involving them.

Now, listening to Amelia, he had a sudden epiphany.

"You’re right, I was negligent, I didn’t think about Hope," he said after a long silence, then took the initiative to admit his mistake.

Then, he reached out his hand across the console to hold the woman’s.

"You are meticulous as a mother," he praised earnestly.

Amelia angrily slapped his hand away, "Just concentrate on driving!"

"Amelia, can I court you all over again?"

"..."

"Look, I’m a grown man with a daughter, but there are still many areas where I lack. I thought I was loving enough toward the little girl, but I’ve overlooked her feelings."

"Just be more attentive in the future."

"Yeah, and you need to remind me in time."

At a red light, he turned to look at her and gave a sensual smile, "I know you still hate and resent me, and that’s fine. We have plenty of time, and I will dissuade you of your resentment with my actions."

Amelia couldn’t stand his shamelessness and turned away, coldly saying, "You should go after your little starlet. I am a faded flower, not worth President Hart’s concern."

"Are you jealous by saying that?"

She snorted coldly, too lazy to respond.

Yet he still solemnly explained, "There’s no little starlet, I’ve never touched her."

Walking hand-in-hand, seen in public together, and they haven’t ’touched’?

It didn’t have to reach the sheets to count as contact.

Of course, Amelia didn’t voice this thought; otherwise, he would be even more smug, thinking she cared and was jealous.

———

Benny Palmer came back from a long vacation looking refreshed and energized.

On his first day back at work, he couldn’t wait to visit the CEO’s office.

For gossip!

"Look at you, beaming with joy. I bet you’d wake up from your sleep laughing," he teased.

President Hart glanced at him, "Thanks, I sleep very soundly."

"Heh! Look at how smug you are! Amelia is a great woman, silently raising two sons for you. She must have suffered a lot over the years."

Christopher wanted to say that she brought it upon herself.

The words almost left his lips, but he held back.

Lucas King had said that to change oneself, it is necessary to start with one’s manner of speaking.

So, from now on, he would hold back his sharp tongue.

"Yes, she’s had a tough time."

Benny looked at him in surprise, "I thought you were going to say—Humph! She brought it upon herself, serves her right! She caused me to be separated from my sons for almost five years! It’s already good enough that I haven’t settled the score with her!"

Mr. Hart: "..."

Is his sharp tongue that well known?

"Did you manage to win her back? With three kids, it’s about time the family reunited."

"Don’t worry, you won’t be left out of the celebration."

As soon as he finished speaking, Lucas King knocked and came in to deliver some documents and handed a set over to him.

President Hart, I have screened these kindergartens preliminarily and found them quite good. Please take a look.

He handed them over, but Benny Palmer intercepted them.

"Kindergartens? For Hope?"

Hope hadn’t been in great health before and hadn’t planned on kindergarten.

Now that she had recovered from surgery, and considering she was almost five, it was indeed time to send her to kindergarten to adapt to community life.

"I’m searching for the triplets," Christopher Hart stood up, reached over the desk and snatched back the documents.

"Man, having triplets must be a hefty kindergarten fee every year," Benny couldn’t help but casually remark.

Unexpectedly, President Hart nodded, "Indeed. So, you’ll have to work even harder."

"What? Me work harder? They’re your kids, not mine!"

"With three little ones, how busy will I be? So, the company will need you to hold the fort more often."

"You really are..." Incensed, Benny was at a loss for words, banged the desk and stood up to walk out, "You’re worse than a miser!"

Lucas King, trying to stifle a laugh on the side, turned and said, "Mr. Hart, the bouquet has been delivered to the Madam."

"Mm."

Mr. Hart acknowledged, feeling suddenly tense.

Although they had been childhood sweethearts, they had never indulged in the cheesy romance of sending flowers over all these years.

Remembering how Kane had shown up with a luxury car and a bouquet to pick her up last time, making her smile bloom even brighter than the flowers—he couldn’t help but play copycat.

It was just unknown how effective it would be...

------------

After the storm had passed, Amelia Garcia returned to work.

However, given the sensational scene at the airport, she was "the talk of the town" once again, with conversations following her wherever she went.

"Didn’t people say Sister Norton was paired up with Kane? So many eyewitnesses, how did she suddenly become the mother of Christopher Hart’s children?"

"Yeah... it’s strange, but it’s all over the internet! Plus, I heard Kane has gone back to his country; I wonder if it means he’s bowing out."

"Definitely! After being handed such a blow, of course, he would angrily return to his homeland!"

"Sigh... Being beautiful and capable, even if a bit flirtatious, there are still plenty of men willing to step up—I, a mere mortal, can only envy."

A few people whispered in the pantry, their conversation laced with jealousy and scorn.

Approaching the door, Amelia intended to go in for a cup of coffee.

After a moment’s thought, she decided against showing her face and turned back.

Just reaching the office door, she saw Shaw struggling to open the door while holding a huge bunch of champagne roses, panting heavily.

"What’s this?"

Startled, Shaw turned, "Sis! Can’t you see? It’s roses!"

"I meant, who sent them?"

"I don’t know, but there’s a card."

Reminded by Shaw, Amelia noticed a card stuck within the bouquet.

She took it out, opened it, and immediately recognized the flamboyant handwriting.

"Amelia, today marks the first day we start again. My name is Christopher Hart, and may I have the honor of inviting you to dinner?"

Ugh—

Without a second thought, Amelia stuffed the card back into the bouquet, "Take it away, the smell is making me dizzy."

Shaw hesitated, "But... the flowers are innocent, and so beautiful..."

"Then they’re yours." Leaving that remark, Amelia handed her coffee cup to Shaw, "Bring me a cup of coffee."

Shaw hurriedly freed her hands and caught the cup awkwardly, watching Amelia’s retreating back and uttering an "Oh."

Just as she settled back in her office, the telephone by the printer rang.

Without hesitation, the woman answered, "Hello, Venus Asia Pacific headquarters."

"...It’s me." A familiar voice came through, notably gentle in tone, "Did you receive the bouquet? Yellow roses mean apology. I hope you can accept my apology and get to know me afresh—"
