Scum Daddy Dreams Of Stealing My Mommy!
Chapter 181 Hope Refuses to Accept the Truth

Chapter 181: Chapter 181 Hope Refuses to Accept the Truth

Noah Ethan: "..."

What kind of lame dad is this?

He really deserves a beating!

And Christopher is doing it on purpose.

Isn’t he deceiving his daughter? Spinning the poor girl in circles, and he, her own father, can’t even get a word out.

Now I want to see how you explain it to your daughter!

The atmosphere at the dining table is incredibly awkward, yet Hope doesn’t understand anything.

Hearing her dad say that, she happily agrees, "Then daddy, make the call, and while you’re at it, let Auntie and Uncle know that the boys can sleep over at our place tonight, since we have so many rooms."

After Hope speaks, she turns to look at her two brothers and giggles, "Brother, would you like to sleep over at my house tonight? After dinner, we can continue playing. I want to assemble that remote-control airplane and also Elsa Castle!"

"Daddy, make the call! Just say that and it’s settled!"

"Okay, daddy will make the call now." Christopher smiles, responding to his daughter, and then he truly unlocks his phone.

Just when Amelia thinks he’ll just pretend for the sake of appeasing his daughter, her own phone suddenly rings.

She instantly understands and glares at him, while the man is also looking right back at her.

She pulls out her phone to see whose flashing number it is on the screen if not his!

This jerk!

What is he up to?

Does he really expect me to play along with him in front of our daughter?

After expressing strong indignation with her eyes, she declines the call right in front of the man.

Christopher frowns, regretfully saying, "Baby, mom didn’t answer the phone."

Amelia: "..."

He’s just shameless! Indescribable!

Hope pouts, "Oh, then we can try again later! Brother, let’s eat, do you like chicken legs? And meatballs, they’re so delicious!"

Noah looks at his mom before picking up the utensils.

Ethan, already impatient, quickly scoops up a meatball.

His eagerness is as if he’s never eaten meat before, making it a laughing stock.

She’s about to quietly remind him when the man’s pressing voice comes again, "Ethan, is your mom abusing you by not feeding you meat? Eat more if you like it."

After spending the afternoon, Christopher already knows the son’s nickname.

Noah Ethan, Noah.

Hope hears this and immediately feels sympathetic, "Big brother, why doesn’t your mom give you meat? Is she a stepmom? Princess Snow White has a stepmom, who’s really mean, even more heartless than the Witch."

Amelia’s mouth twitches: "..."

Christopher stifles a laugh so hard he almost bursts a blood vessel.

What’s called instant karma?

This is it.

He was kept in the dark before, and the two little devils ridiculed him to his face without him having a clue.

Now, his daughter is mocking her right in front of Amelia, and she can’t do anything about it but listen.

This is truly entertaining!

Noah looks at his mom again, sees that she is silent with a complicated expression, purses his lips, and then turns to look at his brother.

It’s all because of this foodie, making mom the butt of the joke!

He can’t take it anymore and smacks his brother on the back of the head, "Eat, eat, eat; all you know is eating! Don’t you realize how fat you are? Mom is asking you to cut down on meat for your own good; the doctor said you are over-nourished."

Ethan feels wronged too, his mouth stuffed with a meatball, and he mumbles, "I didn’t get full at noon..."

Before lunch was finished, Aunt Shaw received a phone call and hurriedly took them to catch a flight.

He was already hungry, which is why he ate so eagerly.

Christopher defended his youngest son, "Which doctor said that? Nonsense! Ethan is not fat at all; children should be like you."

Ethan looked at him, didn’t speak, but probably agreed wholeheartedly in his heart.

Noah fiercely turned his head and glared at his father.

The man raised his eyebrows slightly and looked back.

Christopher had long noticed that his youngest son was easier to win over, so he decided to start with Ethan—dividing and conquering!

After locking eyes with his father for a while, Noah suddenly averted his gaze, "Mom, just tell my sister everything and spare us from some people deliberately causing trouble!"

Amelia looked at her eldest son, then at her daughter, torn inside.

She, of course, wanted to tell.

But once she told her daughter the truth, she’d have to explain why she took her two brothers away all those years ago but left her behind.

Hope was about to turn five.

To say she didn’t understand was not entirely true; she understood a bit.

If Amelia didn’t explain it well and Hope got the impression that her mother abandoned her because she didn’t want her, that would be serious.

Hope heard her brother’s words, holding a chicken leg, her little greasy lips pursed as she turned her head, her big bell-like eyes curiously confused as she looked at them.

Why did her brother call her mom, "mom" too?

With a mouthful of chicken, she still insisted on correcting, "Brother, this is my mom. You should call..."

Before Amelia could speak, Noah looked at his sister and gently corrected, "Sister, your mom is our mom too. We are real siblings. Do you know what real siblings are? It means... we all came out of the same mother’s belly."

He had intended to say that siblings meant having the same father and mother.

But he didn’t want to call that man "dad," so his thoughts shifted and he chose a different explanation.

Hope froze, and the chicken leg fell onto the table.

Amelia was extremely worried and quickly turned around, pulling her daughter to face her, "Honey, did you understand what your brother said? They really are your brothers, and also my children. You are all my treasures."

Hope frowned, her cute, lovely face baffled for a good while before she spat out four words: "Mom is lying."

A pang hit the woman’s heart.

As expected, Hope had been frightened.

"Hope, Mom lied to you before, and that was wrong of me. Will you let me apologize to you?"

Hope did not speak, her big, bewildered eyes misty, turning her head to look at Christopher.

The man got up, walked over to them, and scooped his daughter up in his arms, coldly scoffing, "Now you think to apologize? What were you thinking when you were lying to her?"

Amelia, following the man’s action of picking up the child, gradually lifted her head and listened to him adding fuel to the fire with his taunts; she couldn’t help but feel annoyed, "Christopher, can you stop making snide remarks? The situation has reached this point today; don’t you bear any responsibility?"

Their voices suddenly intensified, and Hope, sensing something, pleaded softly, "Daddy, Mommy, please don’t fight..."

Amelia’s nose tingled with emotion; she quickly promised, "Okay, we won’t fight. But honey, you need to know that Mom loves you just as much as she loves your brothers, won’t you stop being mad at Mom?"

Hope didn’t respond, only twisting her head in her father’s embrace to look at her two brothers.

Actually, she didn’t understand the meaning behind the adults’ words, nor did she realize that she was the one who had been "abandoned."

She just innocently felt that it hadn’t been long since she had finally had a mom and enjoyed her love before two brothers appeared out of nowhere.

Children all have a sense of possession, especially Hope, who had lacked maternal love and a sense of security since she was young; she didn’t want her mother’s attention to be divided among others.

So, she was not happy, and that included her feelings towards her two brothers, which were not as fond.

Seeing her daughter not responding, Amelia was extremely worried.

Noah, feeling guilty, said softly, "Mom, I’m sorry... I shouldn’t have told sister that."

Amelia, looking at her eldest son, touched his head tenderly, comforting in a soft voice, "It’s not your fault; I know you meant well, don’t blame yourself."

"Okay..." The little guy nodded but still couldn’t cheer up.
