Scum Daddy Dreams Of Stealing My Mommy!
Chapter 167 Hide! Hide! Hide!

Chapter 167: Chapter 167 Hide! Hide! Hide!

Snow Fitch’s nephew...

Christopher pondered repeatedly in his heart.

He had always found it odd.

An aunt doting on her nephew, occasionally taking him out for fun, was normal.

But to take him out so frequently, even accompanying him when he was sick, while the child’s biological mother wasn’t around—this was somewhat illogical.

Chris remained as still as if in meditation, his face so serene that it betrayed no emotion.

If the "nephew" Snow was bringing along was one of the two children with Kane, why would they need to lie?

And what exactly was the true identity of these two children?

Could it be related to Amelia Garcia?

Suddenly, Christopher looked up at Lucas King, "How many sons does Jade have?"

Lucas was taken aback and didn’t quite catch on, "Fitch..."

"The brother of Snow Fitch!"

"Oh... you’re talking about the Fitch Family, I... I don’t know."

Lucas looked clueless.

Christopher stood up and tossed his phone to the paparazzo, "Take him out!"

Lucas complied and dragged the paparazzo away.

The paparazzo, totally confused, was reluctantly pulled out, still protesting, "President Hart, come on, we had a deal! With all your money, why..."

"Shut your damn mouth! You’ve got some nerve trying to blackmail President Hart?" Lucas stopped him sharply.

"No, it’s just that you guys are all talk and no..."

The paparazzo didn’t finish his sentence before Lucas hustled him out.

The bodyguards waiting outside immediately dragged the person away.

Lucas returned to the office to see his boss searching through his desk and promptly asked, "President Hart, what are you looking for?"

Christopher frowned, "Didn’t the Fitch Group submit some project proposal last month, asking for financing?"

"Yes, but you refused, no investment."

"Find it, call them, and arrange a meeting. Have Jade come to talk to me in person."

The Fitch Group had indeed sent a financing invitation to Seal-Cloud Corporation last month, but Christopher dismissed it without a second thought.

Because of Snow, as well as her nephew’s "coveting" of his precious daughter—he harbored quite some distaste for the Fitch family.

So he never considered "bonding" with the Fitch Group.

But now, he had to connect with the Fitch family as quickly as possible to inquire about their family affairs.

Though he could have someone investigate secretly, he couldn’t wait.

Lucas, puzzled, asked, "President Hart, what are you suspecting? Is that child related to the Fitch family?"

"I’m suspecting that the child has nothing to do with the Fitch family!"

"Ah?" Lucas was befuddled.

"Also, go immediately to the apartment complex where my wife used to live. Get the property management to pull up the elevator surveillance. I want the frontal photos of those two children."

Lucas stood frozen.

Christopher looked at him, "What, don’t understand plain language?"

"I get it, I’ll go right now!" Lucas was still unclear, but he knew not to question the boss’s orders and turned to leave.

----

After receiving Amelia’s call, Kane immediately contacted the embassy in River City, planning to get the brothers out of the country as fast as possible.

But before he could arrange it, Snow called.

"Amelia, the worst scenario has happened. Christopher suspects the children. Assistant King took the initiative to contact my brother’s secretary for a meeting to discuss some project... In reality, we from the Fitch Group initiated that financing case, and Seal-Cloud had already rejected it. But suddenly, they called, saying Christopher is interested in this project and wants to discuss it with my brother."

Upon hearing this, Amelia’s mind reeled.

In front of the children, she had to maintain composure, only standing up to leave the living room before she asked softly, "Did your brother agree?"

"My brother was quick to react and asked me right away."

Amelia closed her eyes, relieved that at least there had been no agreement yet...

"Snow, does your company... really need this funding from Seal-Cloud?"

She thought, if the Fitch Group truly needed the financing and Seal-Cloud Corporation could provide it, she couldn’t let her private affairs hinder the development of someone else’s company.

Snow laughed softly, "Actually, we don’t really need it..."

"Really?"

"Yeah. We launched this financing case last month, and we reached out to several companies with an olive branch. Seal-Cloud didn’t accept, but a few other investment firms were quite interested. It’s almost a done deal now."

"In that case..."

"If that’s the case, my brother can surely refuse, just say he isn’t interested anymore, there’s no need for a meeting. But what I want to say is, if Christopher is suspicious, then he will definitely find a way to uncover the truth."

Amelia let out a sigh of relief, "Yes, I know... Kane is already coordinating, trying to get them out of the country."

"Will it work?"

"I don’t know, I hope so."

After hanging up, Amelia Garcia was still trembling and her fingers ice-cold from fear.

It all happened too suddenly.

This morning, she had been happily enjoying a rare relaxed picnic with her daughter.

But by afternoon, this "bad news" arrived.

Noah, being sensitive, slowly approached his mother.

"Mom..."

Amelia turned around, saw her son, squatted down, and took his hands, "What is it?"

"Is it that man? Has he discovered me and my brother?"

Looking into her son’s clear and intelligent eyes, Amelia fought the urge to cry.

"Not exactly..." She lowered her gaze, adjusting her emotions, then reassured with a smile, "But he really is suspicious, although he probably can’t be certain yet."

"What should we do?"

"How about... we go back to Zurich?" offered Amelia, touching his head.

"Mhm." Noah nodded but then looked back at the living room, his gaze resting on Hope.

"About my sister...will we not be able to see her again?"

Amelia followed her son’s gaze to the living room where the little girl, ignorant of the seriousness, laughed joyously at something her older brother had said.

Should they return, if Christopher grew suspicious, they might indeed never see her again.

Yet, she couldn’t bring herself to tell her son that, so she comforted him, "Wait a few years until you’re grown up. Then we can come back. Even if that man knows about you then, he won’t be able to take you away."

Noah immediately said, "He can’t take us away now either!"

Pain shot through Amelia’s heart as she looked at her son, struggling to suppress the rising sourness in her heart.

"Mom, my brother and I will always be by your side. Don’t be scared. Even if he stands right before us, it’s useless. We only have our mom, as long as we have you."

Tears welled up in Amelia’s eyes as she tightly hugged her son.

"I love you both. We will never be separated."

"Mhm."

As mother and child were engulfed in their turbulent emotions, Amelia’s clenched cellphone rang again.

Picking it up, her heart raced uncontrollably.

Christopher Hart...

What did he want by calling now?

"Shh..." She gestured for her son to be quiet, stood up, turned away, and quickly steadied her voice, "Hello?"

Christopher’s deep voice came through, "Where are you with Hope?"

"At home."

"Really? Why is there no one at your house?"
