Chapter 132: Chapter 132: Scram, and don’t let me see you again!
Christopher Hart sneered repeatedly, "To portray irresponsibility in such a fresh and refined manner, that’s quite impressive."
"Interpret it as you wish."
"What if I don’t let you leave?"
Amelia Garcia slowly stood up, "Is that all you’re capable of, Christopher Hart? Using force is all you can do?"
Seeing the man’s eyes narrow, a sign of his rising anger, Amelia wasn’t afraid at all.
She finally understood that saying, without love—there is no fear.
She calmed down, fiercely wiping her lips, "You claim time and again that you love your daughter, that you’re a good father, but what you’re doing now is the greatest harm to her."
Christopher Hart sneered coldly, "Harm? If what I do is harm, then how would you describe abandoning her?"
"Don’t change the subject. I had my compelling reasons at the time, and even if I could turn back time, I’m sure I would still make the same choice."
"Unrepentant!"
Amelia no longer cared what he thought of her, she just wanted to persuade him to let go.
"In this world, there are plenty of children who live well after their parents’ divorce. Our current relationship, forced together, will only cause each other pain, torturing one another. Do you think Hope can’t see that? Instead of living in such a fragile environment, it’s better for her to grow up in a single-parent home where it’s peaceful."
After her lengthy speech, she composed herself.
"Now I’ve realized, if you’re unwilling to give Hope to me, then continue raising her. If you’re willing, I would be extremely grateful and take good care of our daughter."
"Do you think I care about your gratitude?"
Christopher Hart mocked with a retort, glancing at her.
"How quick of you to change your mind! Knowing that Lily Garcia and I couldn’t possibly marry, you’re suddenly willing to compromise."
Caught out on her thoughts, Amelia felt embarrassed, pursing her lips in silence.
Indeed.
She was very grateful that Fiona Marshall had come earlier to make a scene, allowing her to hear the shocking truth firsthand.
As long as Lily owed nothing to the Hart family, Emma Carter, with her character, would never accept such a daughter-in-law.
Not to mention Christopher Hart, a scumbag when it comes to being accountable for his feelings.
His and Lily’s separation was inevitable.
And given Christopher Hart’s personality, Lily’s outcome would be miserable.
Silence fell between them, Christopher Hart gazing at the woman before him, his gaze slowly tracing over her features, his heart forcing himself to let go.
Having said all this, if he still clung on, it would make him appear spineless.
Just a woman, right?
He had no shortage of women at the beck and call of his fingers.
Why bother getting upset about nothing?
After psyching himself up, he suddenly let out a mysterious laugh, stepping back.
"Fine... Hope has been doing well without you for over four years. From now on, she can continue to do well. We don’t need such a heartless and ruthless mother like you!"
Amelia’s heart ached, her eyelashes quivering.
"Get out," he gestured towards the direction of the stairs, "And stay far away! From now on, you’re not allowed to appear in front of me!"
"What do you mean?" she suddenly grew nervous, afraid he wouldn’t let her see Hope again.
"Exactly what it sounds like, can’t you understand?"
"I’m Hope’s mother, I have the right to see her."
"Miss Norton, my daughter’s biological mother passed away a long time ago."
His face was calm, his gaze cold.
Amelia stared at him, then suddenly understood.
He was retaliating, going to extremes.
Because she refused to come back, he wouldn’t let her see her daughter again.
"Christopher Hart, you can’t do this! Hope will be heartbroken."
"Are you leaving or not?"
"Christopher Hart, you—"
"Fuller!"
Downstairs, the bodyguard arrived at the sound and stood in the middle of the hall, full of concern.
"Take Miss Norton out, and without my permission, she’s not allowed to step foot in here again."
"President Hart, this—"
"What, are you going to defy my order?"
Fuller, of course, didn’t dare, so he quickly came upstairs.
Amelia stood still, glaring at the man hatefully: "Christopher Hart, you bastard!"
The man ignored her, turning to walk towards his daughter’s bedroom.
Amelia was torn inside.
She wanted to leave, but not like this.
She wanted to take care of Noah and Ethan, to ensure they were well settled, she thought, even if they weren’t together, they could both love and care for their daughter.
But Christopher Hart’s attitude was obviously to cut ties completely!
Fuller stood aside, seeing her remain motionless, and softly suggested, "President Hart is angry right now. You better leave first and we can talk about this some other day."
Hope’s crying and the man’s reprimands could be heard from the room.
Amelia’s heart felt sliced open, but she also feared that if Hope chased after her, she wouldn’t be able to leave and things would get worse.
So, grinding her teeth, she turned and hurried down the stairs.

When Snow Fitch hurried over upon hearing the news, Amelia was dragging her suitcase and had already walked nearly two miles on the pitch-black private road.
Fitch was indignant when he picked her up, "How could Christopher Hart let you leave like this in the middle of the night? Even if he didn’t see you off, what about his driver? His bodyguards?"
Exhausted, Amelia didn’t want to talk, simply got into the car, and silently broke into tears.
Fitch didn’t rush to drive but looked back at her, "What? Did you two have a fallout?"
Amelia wiped her tears and pulled herself together, "How are Noah and Ethan?"
"They’re asleep, Sister Jones is watching them. I brought them back and immediately contacted Sister Jones to continue employing her."
"Mm..."
Seeing she didn’t want to talk further, Fitch drove her home without asking more questions.
Her previous accommodation had already been discontinued, so Amelia had no choice but to go to Fitch’s place for the time being.
"Christopher Hart might know about this place, so you better find a new place to live tomorrow and move there."
"Okay, it’s late, you go to sleep."
Seeing her eyes swollen from crying, Fitch sighed, "Don’t overthink it, take it one step at a time."
"Don’t worry, I’m okay," she managed a smile.
Once the room door closed, her world went completely quiet.
Looking at the brothers sleeping soundly together on the bed, Amelia dazedly spaced out.
After a while, she came back to her senses, wearily lay down, and hugged the two children.
Noah woke up alertly, opening his eyes wide with joy, "Mommy!"
"Baby, Mommy’s back..." Amelia gently scraped her son’s nose, whispering softly.
Noah sat up, examining her with concerned eyes, "Mommy, are you okay? Did that man bully you?"
"No... Mommy just went to spend some time with your sister."
But Noah was too clever not to notice his mother’s eyes were red.
That scumbag father, always making Mommy sad!
Understandingly he wrapped his arms around his mother, like a little man, "Mommy, don’t cry, you’re not pretty when you cry."
His son’s innocent comforting words broke her defenses once again.
Hugging the little guy tightly, kissing his head repeatedly, she finally felt a bit more settled.
