Scum Daddy Dreams Of Stealing My Mommy!
Chapter 130 Christopher Hart’s Well-Intentioned Efforts

Chapter 130: Chapter 130 Christopher Hart’s Well-Intentioned Efforts

"You’re talking nonsense!" Fiona Marshall cursed loudly, "Christopher Hart, you made up such a lie just to avoid responsibility, to abandon Lily, and to have this woman return to your side!"

"She’s none other than that slut Amelia Garcia! She’s not dead. You locked up Lily because she discovered her identity! You caused Lily to break her leg, and now you want to abandon her completely and slander our contributions like this!"

Fiona’s mind worked incredibly fast. After being definitively outed by Christopher Hart, she quickly changed the subject and turned her attacks toward Amelia Garcia.

Amelia didn’t say a word, but Hope, who was beside her, was frightened and immediately crawled over and nestled into her arms, weakly calling out, "Mommy."

She quickly protected her daughter, soothing her in a low voice while her gaze turned toward Christopher Hart, waiting silently to see how things would unfold.

Listening to this, she understood as well.

What Christopher Hart meant was that the person who had donated a kidney to save Wendy Hart years ago was someone named William Lee, not Lily Garcia.

But somehow Fiona Marshall and her daughter had twisted the narrative to make it look like Lily Garcia was the one who donated the kidney to save Wendy Hart, thus becoming a great benefactor to the Hart Family and therefore Christopher Hart’s fiancée.

If all of this was true...

She trembled in shock—if this was true, Fiona Marshall and her daughter were far too bold and scheming.

Christopher glanced slightly at where his daughter was.

Knowing Amelia was all ears, he started to explain the whole situation even more clearly, whether intentionally or not.

He wanted this foolish woman to understand—he could annul the engagement, get rid of Lily Garcia, and do so with complete justification and integrity.

"Mrs. Garcia, ’a cornered dog will leap over a wall’ is probably the best description of you right now," Christopher Hart watched her in her agitated state and slowly uttered, "I know you won’t give up until you’re faced with the harsh truth, rest assured, I’ll show you the evidence so you’ll have nothing to say."

"Who are you cursing! Who’s the dog! You’re the dog! No gratitude at all! Lily was blind to have fallen in love with you!"

Christopher shook his head slightly, not wanting to waste words with her. He bluntly said, "If you want to prove that it was your daughter who donated the kidney to save Wendy, it’s simple—just go to the hospital and check. If your daughter still has both kidneys, we’ll know."

"Why should we? A done deal, and just because of your baseless suspicions, we need to prove it? This is an insult!"

"If you’re so vehemently against it, I see it as a sign of a guilty conscience."

"Who has a guilty conscience? I have evidence that Lily donated her kidney!"

Fiona couldn’t wait to steer the conversation to this topic so she could present her evidence.

Seeing Christopher Hart raise his eyebrows in disbelief, she immediately took out her phone, flipped through it, and stepped forward.

"Look! The scar on Lily’s waist! It’s from the kidney surgery!"

On the phone screen, the scar was visible on the side of a slender woman’s waist, looking just healed, and indeed appeared to be the result of a kidney surgery.

"This was taken shortly after the surgery. And these... these were taken later."

Fiona swiped through her phone screen, showing one "evidence" after another.

Amelia, unable to contain her curiosity, also leaned in to look and then frowned...

It did look quite convincing.

"Lily used to love wearing cropped tops, but ever since she got the scar on her waist, she’s been too scared to wear them for fear that the scar would look ugly. Such a vanity-conscious girl, her good-hearted act only to be disparaged and slandered by you!"

Seeing that Christopher’s expression had become a bit more somber, Fiona’s voice became a few degrees more resolute.

The living room suddenly fell silent.

After a moment, Christopher Hart suddenly laughed.

Fiona was taken aback, "What are you laughing at?"

Christopher ignored her, lifting his gaze to the woman who had quietly moved closer to join in the excitement, suddenly asking, "Whose words do you believe?"

"I..." Amelia Garcia was startled, instinctively taking a step back, then turning to glance at Fiona.

To be honest, her mind was in turmoil.

To spin such a colossal lie, to deceive the gratitude of the Hart Family, to cheat Christopher Hart’s marriage—it was unimaginable.

But the scar in the photo also didn’t look fake.

"You all talk, don’t ask me, I don’t know anything." Amelia opted to protect herself wisely, dropping this remark and returning upstairs with Hope.

Fiona Marshall glared at their retreating figures, sneering disdainfully, "Shameless! Living together without any proper justification, not even a fox spirit could be so base!"

"She’s the daughter’s biological mother, and if us living together as a family is unacceptable, then how should one describe Mrs. Garcia climbing into the bed of a married man?"

"I did not!" Fiona Marshall denied vehemently, "I was merely discussing Lily’s surgery with him."

"Save those words for President Garcia, they have nothing to do with me."

After all that was said, Christopher Hart’s patience had been exhausted.

He stood up, issuing his final ultimatum, "If you’re smart, you’ll clarify everything to the public on your own and willingly terminate the engagement, and I might leave you some dignity. If you wait for me to expose you, you know what fate awaits!"

"Fuller, show the guest out."

"Yes." Fuller stepped forward, gesturing politely, "Mrs. Garcia, please."

Fiona Marshall wouldn’t go willingly, protesting, "Christopher Hart, Lily truly loves you, she would do anything for you. You can slander me, but you can’t doubt Lily’s sincerity and devotion!"

"Mrs. Garcia, please leave!"

"Christopher Hart, remember to never burn all your bridges. By being so heartless, you’ll face retribution!"

Seeing that she still wouldn’t leave, Fuller had no choice but to physically escort her out.

Upstairs, Amelia Garcia was in turmoil.

Apart from the shock, she felt panicked.

If Christopher’s suspicions were true, then Lily Garcia’s supposed favor to the Hart family would no longer exist, and the termination of the engagement would be a matter of time.

Once he gained his freedom, he would undoubtedly become more unbridled.

But the Hart family wouldn’t accept her, and she didn’t want to remarry. What was she to do with this entanglement?

Her mind a jumbled mess, unable to sit still in her anxiety, all she wanted was to leave this place as soon as possible.

Suddenly, the room door was pushed open, and she startled, turning to look.

Christopher Hart, tall and distinguished, walked in unhurriedly.

"Hope, go to sleep..." She glanced at her daughter, then turned her head away, trying to use the conversation with her child to dissipate her troubled thoughts, not wishing to engage with the man.

Christopher wasn’t in a hurry either, standing by and watching her with a heavy gaze.

Hope, being ever so clever, immediately closed her eyes and said, "Mommy, I’m asleep; you should rest too."

"I’ll stay with you a little longer, until you’re asleep."

"Mmm, I’m asleep now."

"..."

This little girl, such a sly one!

She sat motionless, ignoring the gaze from behind her.

But the man didn’t have as much patience.

Seeing the daughter trying so hard to mediate, Christopher didn’t waste the opportunity. He walked over, slightly bent down, and took hold of the woman’s wrist.

Like she had been electrocuted, Amelia Garcia pulled away and got up, moving to the other side of the bed.

At the bed’s head, Hope quietly squinted her eyes slightly open, secretly watching the scene unfold.

Seeing her avoidance of him as if he were a viper, Christopher let out a self-mocking laugh and said softly, "Do you plan to never speak to me from now on?"

Amelia Garcia kept her lips tightly shut, turning her face away like a clamshell.

Unbeknownst to her, this demeanor in the eyes of the man, only seemed more endearing and amusing.

"I remember, even as a child, you were just like this: seemed good-tempered, gentle and obedient, but once you were annoyed, you could sulk for ages without talking to anyone. After all these years, you haven’t changed one bit."
