Chapter 780: Chapter 548: The End of the Cry for Help. _1 Chapter 780: Chapter 548: The End of the Cry for Help. _1 “Finally, finally, I can… leave! Haha, hahaha!”
Dressed in tattered mental hospital clothes, “The Unyielding,” his faces distorted with uncontrollable emotions and streaming with tears, slowly rose from the ground. As he did so, that other fragment of consciousness swiftly dissipated…
Even as he stood halfway up, he couldn’t suppress his longing for the outside world.
Using hands and feet in an extremely twisted and uncoordinated manner, he crawled darkly on the ground, like a gecko, quickly charging toward the “Bonfire Passage.”
But no sooner had he crawled halfway, that a golden metal werewolf, its muscles swollen, burst forth and blocked his path—
The “Innate Ashen Holy Body” had arrived on the scene.
He had already seen the “pitiful state” of Brother Shunzi.
It was clear that he was no match for the Containment Subject, but he believed that if only he could hold it off for a moment,
Brother Shunzi’s true self would be able to come out and end the battle!
“Stop right there!”
The Ashen Holy Body swung its beastly claws, combined with its own artifacts, unleashing a blade charge that tore through its surroundings.
However, facing his attack, the foe didn’t react in the slightest, still laughing madly as he charged toward the Bonfire Passage. The impact that could tear through solid steel plates merely left a few white marks before dissipating from an invisible force.
Immediately after, “The Unyielding One,” ignoring the person in front of him, charged directly at him and sent him flying, his muscles and bones badly injured…
“Leave, leave, leave, I’m about to…”
Brother Unyielding, looking at the Bonfire Passage now within arm’s reach, ignored those retreating through the passage and watching him in horror. He tentatively reached his hand into the flame, and upon realizing that although the flames would burn him, he could actually enter the passage, he became even more excited.
But just as he was about to step fully into it, a burst of flame erupted from within the “Bonfire Passage.”
At the same time, a giant hand of fire descended from the sky and pressed down hard on him.
“Don’t panic, I said I could suppress any foe, and I will suppress…”
In the center of the Bonfire Passage, flames coalesced, forming the figure of Colin, who flashed forward. Before the creature could break free from the “Wildfire” hand, Colin kicked him fiercely and sent him flying away.
The man flew through the air, almost forming a “V” as he was propelled thousands of meters away.
Yet, only halfway through the air and before touching ground, he violently came to a halt in midair, all his momentum gone.
Multiple faces shouted simultaneously, “You should die! Let me pass, aaaah!”
His figure was like a wraith, elusive and rapidly approaching. On his right hand, a terrifying vibrational wave burst forth, lunging towards Colin with such force that the ground tore asunder and buildings collapsed, the sheer impact vibrating the entire space.
“Is this… a ‘Repulsion’ shockwave?”
Colin’s gaze sharpened, as thoughts flickered, realizing that the other had stolen his skill.
And had done a rather convincing job of it.
But…
“A counterfeit will always be a counterfeit.”
Colin similarly raised his right hand, the effect of his “Force – Repulsive Force” artifact empowering his hand, a vibrational charge erupted, pounding the even more formidable force that could topple spatial planes.
“Boom!”
At the impact’s center, the shockwaves, compressed to the extreme, burst forth again, instantly shattering several buildings, with lightning-like fissures appearing in the sky, as if it had been torn asunder.
In the crowd of surviving bystanders further away, some fainted on the spot, others were shaken to the ground unable to rise.
If they weren’t far enough, and had Colin not restrained somewhat for their sake, minimizing the force of the shockwaves with bonfire aftereffects, each would have likely had a significant chance of being crushed to death on the spot.
Nevertheless, he couldn’t be too concerned about them, as the will deep within the “hospital,” fully fused with Brother Unyielding, once again attacked.
“Make way! Your defiance of ‘God’s’ will is grand treason! Make way! I offer you a way out!” From Brother Unyielding, more “faces” tore open, and with them, his aura crazily surged.
It seemed as if more abstract things from the depths of the “hospital” were gambling on this body.
Each bet represented a face…
“Boom!” A dreadful thunder suddenly burst forth from him, dense and filling the whole world, carrying a powerhouse to shatter everything through the lingering shock vibrations in the air, striking towards Colin head-on.
“Make way? Has the hospital stayed with you so long without being able to cure your mind?”
Colin’s body surged with Bonfire, ensuring that no one would be easily killed by the battle as he coated each person with the light of flames. Revolver in hand, he strode alone boldly to the front lines!
In an instant, beneath the torrential lightning, an incarnation of the Wildfire Giant hundreds of meters tall shot up from the ground.
Once again, the space was forcefully compacted into a spherical area by a mighty force during the collision.
Brother Unyielding, now covered in dozens of faces, had one face open its mouth as if to activate some skill, and his body suddenly dispersed, closing in on Colin.
Then, several different faces looked towards Colin.
For a moment, lightning, repulsion, strange gleaming lights, psychic interference…
A confluence of terrifying attacks fused into a destructive death ray, rushing in an instant.
“Such a low-efficiency, boring way of using power, like a caveman throwing stones, tossing whatever comes to hand.”
Colin, disdainful of this onslaught, gestured with his hand, and his “Wildfire Giant” was hurled out to collide with this terrifying destructive ray, nullifying the attacks…
Despite his outward derision, he took them very seriously within.
‘These things, they say ‘First Level Containment Subject,’ but they seem to lack substantial authority; their power obviously isn’t enough, like paper tigers. Could they be classified under Level 2 Containment Subject? Their stature seems quite high; what on earth are their origins?’
