SCP Corporation: Contain Bonfire
Chapter 777 - 777 547 I I Killed Brother Shunzi _1

Chapter 777: Chapter 547: I, I Killed Brother Shunzi?! _1 Chapter 777: Chapter 547: I, I Killed Brother Shunzi?! _1 After a moment, Colin couldn’t help but let out a wry laugh:

“The sky doesn’t need fixing, and as for why, you’ll understand once you go outside and see for yourself…”

As he spoke, he wanted to ruffle the little girl’s hair, but to his embarrassment, he realized that even though she appeared to be only a few years old, she was already well developed, tall enough to be half a head taller than himself—

That was awkward.

However, the little girl suddenly seemed to understand something, obediently bowed her head, allowed him to ruffle it, and revealed an expression like that of a contented cat.

“There, take these and go have a drink, don’t disturb Mr. Messenger’s work.” Lady Bai, who was standing nearby, handed out several bottles of glucose solution and shooed away all the “little girls.”

Is this considered a local specialty snack?… Watching those bottles of glucose solution, Colin pursed his lips, then casually pulled out a handful of White Rabbit Creamy Candies from his pocket for the children:

“You can also have some of these.”

He tended to like well-behaved children more.

After the brief interlude, Lady Bai, seeing Colin scatter some strange objects around, finally couldn’t restrain her curiosity and asked, “What’s the use of these things?”

The items he spread around seemed to be common objects like glass bottles.

Some of the glass bottles contained something that looked suspiciously like human grease…

Many things didn’t look special, and their functions were unknown.

“To detonate.”

Colin explained succinctly.

Since he wasn’t his true self this time and was dealing with the various needs of thousands of people, plus they hadn’t received a “gathering command,” he didn’t dare skimp on the magical materials.

‘If we could get all the D Level Personnel here, it would undoubtedly be better, but unfortunately, there’s been no movement…’

‘However, now that everything is almost in place, even if a First Level Containment Subject comes, we’d be able to hold it off somewhat.’

‘But what I really fear is them playing dirty tricks…’

Colin took a look around, informed Lady Bai to be ready, as he was about to open the passageway.

“Okay.” Lady Bai took a deep breath, turned around hurriedly, and informed the staff everywhere to prepare for any contingencies.

Seeing that everything was ready, Colin, under everyone’s gaze, attached the “false former” he had just torn off to his body, then took out a five-pound can of pure grease and some kindling, and set them ablaze.

With a loud “boom,” flames shot up into the sky.

This elicited exclamations from the crowd.

Feeling his own strength rapidly increasing, Colin tilted his head slightly and looked around at the distant locations, where he could see staff from other shelters observing from afar.

They had no intention of leaving but also did not want to miss what was happening here, offering support in everything but the action itself.

‘If things go smoothly here, everyone will likely want to come out, but by then, if ‘Lady Rabbit”s objective is achieved, she might not bother to come to transport people.’

Withdrawing his gaze, Colin then gave the flames another inspection, confirming their burning condition.

The Bonfire site was established; it was time for the next step.

He continued to take out the letter that “Lady Rabbit” had given him methodically.

“Tear~”

With a crisp sound,

The letter was torn open and quickly ignited.

Following that, Colin’s mind was flooded with the simultaneous combustion of several “Bonfire Ritual Points” he had passed along the way, spinning wildly like a vortex capable of devouring everything.

And within the vortex, a passage about three meters wide slowly became visible, with a quiet and spacious hall faintly discernible at its end…

In the darkness outside the hall, indistinct grey mist drifted.

Colin swept his gaze across the middle of the hall and saw that the employee who had hanged herself previously was nowhere to be found.

She must have been taken care of when that presence behind the scenes staged the “suicide.”

“Move out!”

After observing, Colin quickly issued his command, “After crossing through the first-floor hall, wait there. If you see a train, something like this, get on it straight away.”

He conjured up an approximate image of the “Train in the Fog” using light and shadows.

“Heard that? Get moving now, what are you still waiting for!” Lady Bai immediately organized the team and called everyone to enter the flame passage, to leave this place.

With that said, she ordered her deputy to lead the team in.

Then she looked toward Colin, “Do you need my help?”

“A small scene, I alone can suppress it!”

Colin refused offhandedly, though, of course, his real thought was that Lady Bai might also be only at Late Stage F Level or maybe didn’t even have the standard of Employee Level E, so she wouldn’t be of much help.

The upcoming battle would require at least a general D Level Standard to qualify for participation!

“Alright.” Lady Bai looked at the huge flames above Colin’s head and without any fuss waved her hand and led her team into the “Bonfire Passage.”

The flames were peculiar, lacking any scorching sensation but rather giving a sense of warmth.

Stepping into the flames felt soft like cotton, yet oddly stable to walk upon.

And one’s body received relatively positive feedback in all aspects!

The passage wasn’t long, probably just a hundred meters or so, and when she crossed it, she immediately found herself in an exceedingly… orderly hall.

She knew this was still the hospital, but it felt like another world entirely.

Everything was precisely arranged without a hint of distortion…

Even the Shredded Flesh Horde commonly seen on the ground were nowhere to be seen.

In such a place, even just standing still made one feel as if some of their cognitions were slowly being “corrected” from distortion.

However, before she could ponder any further, a deafening explosion came from the direction of the Bonfire Passage.
