SCP Corporation: Contain Bonfire
Chapter 610 - 610 462 Analyzing the Hidden Knowledge Behind

Chapter 610: Chapter 462: Analyzing the Hidden Knowledge Behind the “Saint”._2 Chapter 610: Chapter 462: Analyzing the Hidden Knowledge Behind the “Saint”._2 Then, she closed her eyes, and her body began to flicker with pure white brilliance.

Before long, she had transformed her life form.

She became a conscious cluster of white light, the light taking on a vague humanoid shape, but much taller.

And it was imbued with a holy, pure aura throughout.

It was in this form that one pair, two pairs, three pairs, up to five pairs of wide, white Wings of Light, slowly unfolded behind the human figure.

Next, some luminous limbs extended from the sphere of light.

The limbs tugged at the air, and, after a moment, pulled out a piece of parchment.

Upon appearing, the yellowed parchment emitted a multitude of pale blue lights, which wove into mysterious symbols that spread deep into the cloud layer, endlessly parting the clouds like the sea of some mythological story…

In the distant expanse, a massive gate built upon the clouds, reaching all the way to heaven and earth, appeared.

The gate, constructed from pure white light, was so remote that its actual height was impossible to discern.

And in front of the gate, standing at least a thousand meters tall, was a giant humanoid figure made of light.

However, Shana knew that this was probably not its final size…

For once one stared at it, they would find that it rapidly grew in the viewer’s eyes.

This growth seemed limitless, potentially surpassing celestial bodies…

In the end, anyone trying to gauge its size would come to one conclusion—it was nearly infinite.

And if one recklessly kept staring, it could even burst their brain—Shana, initially filled with curiosity, had “died” one of her avatars this way when she first came here.

At this moment, this colossal humanoid figure of light, like a gatekeeper, stood with its back to the gate, holding a Lightsaber with its point facing down and bowing slightly, unknowing of how many years it had stood like this…

However, as Shana’s gaze landed upon it, the giant humanoid figure of light suddenly moved.

Its posture unchanged, the figure slowly lifted the Lightsaber, pointing it towards the onlooker…

When the sword’s tip was directed at the other party.

Thousands of pale streams of light sliced through the world, rushing towards Shana, enveloping her and making her appear as if encased in a cocoon of light.

These streams penetrated her body, baptizing her.

How much time had passed…

The sixth pair of wings grew slowly out from behind Shana.

‘The sixth pair of wings…’

This meant she had surpassed most of the Saints following the “Holy Light Court” and could now stand shoulder to shoulder with the best among them.

However.

Though her strength had increased, this additional pair of wings…

Didn’t have much actual utility; at most, it looked a bit nicer, or rather, it was like a pass, a display of one’s status to gain access in this world of light and clouds.

In essence, it was like a knight’s badge, more a symbol than of practical significance.

Paying no great attention to the wings, Shana’s thoughts turned.

Ahead, a myriad of brilliance intertwined, forming a tree-like diagram, and on the edges of the diagram were pale points of light…

Shana focused on this diagram for a while, flapped her wings, and some light points flew onto the branches of the tree-like diagram she was focusing on, causing new branches to light up and extend.

With the extension of new “branches,” she understood some new abilities and received specialized enhancements.

After all this, the cocoon of light surrounding her dissipated.

Shana was momentarily bewildered; when she came back to her senses and looked forward again, she found that the giant figure of light had returned to its previous stance, back to how it was, as if it had never moved.

“Those things…”

Now strengthened, Shana suddenly noticed, beneath the white cloud layer in front of the figure of light, there were a great many broken objects, resembling remains. They looked like the remains of some substantial entities…

Some of these remains were like bones, some metallic, others were strange constructions, and even remnants of unusual celestial bodies…

She didn’t know what these remnants once were, but she could sense that they were by no means weak.

Many could be compared to Ancient Gods…

But at this moment, all were quietly interred within the sea-like layer of white clouds, filling onlookers with an indescribable sense of awe.

However, the most notable among them was a grand, ancient, yet dilapidated complex of ancient hall structures…

“Is that the ‘Holy Light Cathedral’? So after it disappeared, it ended up here? It’s also unclear what happened here to leave behind so many things.”

A glint of curiosity flashed in Shana’s eyes, but she shook her head, not dwelling on it further.

Yet, just as she was about to withdraw her gaze, she felt a sudden intuition, turned her eyes beneath the doorway behind the figure of light, and saw a small cluster of flames burning away…

Under the light of the huge door and the giant of light and shadow, this flame seemed as inconspicuous as dust.

It was only after her promotion and once her strength had reached a certain level that she barely noticed it.

“‘Bonfire’?”

Shana felt a power similar to that of Mr. Colin emanating from this flame, yet compared to him, this small flame seemed even more “intense”…

But…

How could there be a “Bonfire” here?

Shana instinctively focused her gaze and discovered that the burning object appeared to be a severed hand?

What was happening?

It was during her moment of confusion while “blinking” that she suddenly saw the severed hand under the door appear before her, floating in mid-air.

She immediately became alert, but fortunately, the hand made no further moves.

It just floated quietly…

It looked somewhat shriveled, like dried cured meat, and there was a tightly closed mouth at the palm of the severed hand.

“Crack, crunch…”

Chewing and swallowing sounds arose beside her ear.

The mouth in the palm seemed to be moving, but upon closer inspection, it appeared to be an illusion.

“Not detecting any aggressiveness, does it want me to take it away from here?”

After pondering for a while, Shana glanced at the guardian in front of the distant door, then withdrew her gaze and looked at the severed hand before her.

After considering, many writhing lines of light flew out from her sphere of light…

Halfway through their flight, they turned into chains with a strong sealing effect, wrapping around the hand in coils.

In the end, Shana dragged it into her private spatial domain.

After completing all this, a silent vibration suddenly echoed within this “dream world”…

The divided sea of clouds boiled and closed together.

Burying the giant light door, the towering giant of light and shadow, as well as the Holy Light Court and a large amount of rubble once again.

In front of her, the light blue light radiating from the parchment also faded and disappeared.

Shana took it into her private space, knowing the task she had entered to do was now concluded.

The enormous light sphere flapped its six pairs of wings on her back…

She flew back along the path she had taken, bit by bit.

Inside this light cloud world, the actual passage of time was completely different from her own perception.

After an unknown amount of time, Shana finally returned to the first archway she had entered; after passing through it, she felt the connection with her body once again, and then with a shift of thought, she returned to reality.

When she opened her eyes, the room was still the same, although she did not know how much time had passed.

Shana shook her head to dispel the sense of haziness.

She withdrew the clone set upon her body, got out of bed, and pushed open the door.

Drifts of strange meaty aroma entered her nostrils…

Not far away, that “Bonfire” Divine Envoy was grilling meat with a little girl in front of a “Bonfire.”

In a regular church, using the Holy Fire to grill meat…

It was no longer a question of blasphemy; one might not even need a trial before being condemned to burn at the stake—

Oh, but if the one grilling is a Divine Envoy, then it’s alright.

“Hey, you’re awake?”

Seeing her, Colin gestured and said, “We’re just having some midnight snacks, come on over.”

“Oh… oh…” Shana muttered in a daze, instinctively agreeing as she walked over, but only halfway there did she suddenly notice something was off…

She realized, aside from Colin, there was not a single person from the “Bonfire” Church left on the territory.

Shana sensed something and frowned:

“How long have I slept?”
