“By the way, do you know anything about those ‘Radiant Angels’ rapid response teams?”

Colin asked curiously as they moved.

He was quite interested in this second Corps he had encountered.

“‘Radiant Angel’?” Shana’s ice-blue eyes flickered with confusion.

“You don’t know?”

Shana shook her head, “We call them ‘Guardians of Wisdom from the Heavens’…”

She paused, and without waiting for Colin to ask, she explained what she knew.

“In this world, there are places called ‘God’s Forbidden Zone’. One reason the ‘Holy Light Court’ was so powerful was that they had the ability to operate these special things…”

‘God’s Forbidden Zone’? That’s obviously called the “No. 1 Special Containment Subject Nature Reserve”.

Colin vaguely realized that either the “Holy Light Court” didn’t know the details, or they intentionally changed the name.

Then, something suddenly occurred to him, and he spoke, “The text we saw earlier, you seem… not very familiar with it?”

“Those mysterious texts? I’m not very clear about them…”

As Shana spoke, a line of subtitles appeared before them— “No. 1 Special Containment Subject Nature Reserve”.

“We deciphered it and could roughly interpret it as meaning some sort of special forbidden area, that for unknown reasons, one cannot operate within without a special blessing. Even gods are not allowed to enter. So, if I were to interpret it, should it be called ‘God’s Banned Area’?”

She blinked, looking at Colin, seemingly seeking confirmation.

The understanding was correct, but…

Colin did not immediately respond, realizing where the issue lay.

It seemed like Shana didn’t recognize these kinds of texts at all…

‘But that shouldn’t be, the information from the Company isn’t in any particular language. It appears as Chinese if you think it’s Chinese, English if you think it’s English, and it can translate adaptively based on the situation…’

Colin tried asking and received a positive response from Shana—she couldn’t understand it and could only roughly guess its meaning through mystical methods.

“Strange, why would this happen?” Colin wondered.

But at that moment, an inspiration flashed, revealing the reason to him…

The fault lay with the “branch office”.

This entity didn’t have the same kind of passive translation features that Bonfire Company did. So, even though Shana seemed to be able to communicate normally with him, as if there were no issues,

it would be a different story if she were actually thrown onto Earth. Even if Earthlings spoke the same language as Colin, Shana would be completely illiterate…

Unable to understand a single word.

Realizing this, Colin felt a mix of amusement and chagrin.

He originally thought it was a standard feature but found out that Shana didn’t have it.

At the same time, Colin basically confirmed the previous “Holy Light Court” indeed had some control, but it was due to their own characteristics that they possessed such authority.

The “Radiant Angel” was not very related to them.

It was like an archaeologist finding a star-destroying cannon, figuring out how to use it after much effort, but not understanding a thing about its principles and construction.

“If there is a chance, may I ask for your help in providing some information on these kinds of texts?” Shana asked, looking forward with anticipation after understanding this. She had many similar pieces of knowledge she wanted to unravel.

“No problem,” Colin nodded.

He then continued to learn about the situation regarding the so-called ‘God’s Forbidden Zone’, which in reality was a ‘Nature Reserve’.

Currently, the vast majority of mainstream human nations in “World Code-13”, or rather, human settlements, all exist within similar confines…

Besides the characteristics of the “Light” Church, there were other factors, such as the massive pleading of humans.

These could potentially trigger the activation of a ‘defense system’…

That’s why in this era, lower-class humans are meaningless to the upper class Extraordinary Ones, and yet they still actively maintain a population of refugees.

The aim is to have a chance to activate the emergency response systems within the ‘ecosphere’ at certain critical moments…

Of course, apart from Saints who can summon more reliably, other methods of awakening this entity have a low success rate.

“Looking at it this way, this indeed is the territory of the ‘Radiant Angels’. However, I don’t know much about other legions within the ‘Radiant Angels’, but the second legion, ‘Angel of Wisdom’, looks like some kind of intelligent AI, no, just an ordinary low-level intelligence system, not AI…”

Colin felt that the situation with this corps was likely not very optimistic.

However, setting that aside to consider the current state of the world…

He was somewhat at a loss for words.

‘The “ancient ancestor” used it to confine some special and valuable containment subjects, and now you’ve moved in yourselves…’

‘Isn’t that just like driving the animals out of the zoo and then moving in yourselves?’

Colin couldn’t help but feel a mix of amusement and bewilderment.

But then again, if the reserve did indeed offer protection, it seemed there was nothing wrong with that.

“Speaking of which, if I weren’t here, what would you have planned to do with this situation?” Colin inquired.

“Within this area, I can ‘summon’ them at any time, although under rushed circumstances, the results might not be ideal. Nevertheless, I would be able to eliminate a significant portion of the threats. After that, I would enter a special place and sleep for a while, maybe a month or two if quick, about a year if slow, or perhaps even longer. But no matter what, it’s all profit…”

Listening to Shana’s explanation, Colin mentally corrected her in his mind: it’s “squeal,” not “summon.”

Having read and understood all the feedback, he knew the situation better than Shana.

And there was this self-harming strategy of injuring the enemy at a great loss to oneself… Colin felt he had to correct Shana’s habit of using herself as bait.

At that moment, Shana blinked, as if she had thought of something else, and continued, “Of course, I wasn’t planning to implement this plan originally, but because of you, I was able to make this choice.”

“Oh?” Colin’s eyebrows rose; so this fishing expedition had something to do with him?

“You’ve taken care of my concerns…”

“At first, after leading the refugees out, I still had to figure out how to settle them before considering the possibility of coming back to save others. But by that time, there likely wouldn’t have been a chance…”

Upon hearing this, Colin understood the reason—it was because of his involvement.

Thus, Shana could rest assured, leave the people with him, and then dive back in to attempt to resolve a bunch of restless heretics.

So far, there have been twists and turns, but everything was proceeding relatively smoothly.

“By the way, what about the people you rescued?”

“Some are already hiding in the outer areas with lots of black bread. They can hold out for a long time. Later, um, Helena’s sister will come to their aid. Besides, there’s another group that I’ve tucked away, and I’ll release them once it’s safe.”

Black bread… Colin nodded his head.

He had previously had it analyzed by “Small Intestine Taste Buds,” and it could meet all the nutritional needs of a person—

The only problem was that it was hard to swallow.

You’d need to soak it in water, and the already indescribable taste would become even more so after soaking.

“How do we leave now? What’s the plan? The effect here can only last a little while longer, and soon, the anomalies from the Catastrophe of the Magic Fog will come over…”

Shana was still unaware of Colin’s plans, but she had a mental map in her head.

Knowing the current direction was not the right one…

“Through a sealed first-level containment subject.”

Colin did not hide anything and explained.

Now, he just hoped that the guy wouldn’t be ungrateful…

Based on the current situation, “King of Savage Sound” most likely wouldn’t stand him up.

After all, the enemies that had been tracking them were almost taken care of, lessening the pressure on him…

However, when Colin arrived at the Underground Great Labyrinth with Shana after a while, they didn’t see that figure.

“Where is he?”

Colin frowned, sensing around for a while but discovering nothing.

Normally, given such an overt arrival as his,

The “King of Madness” would have shown up by now…

But now, there was nothing.

Releasing flame and waiting a bit longer without seeing anyone, Colin’s heart sank, and his frown deepened in disappointment with the “King of Madness”‘s decision.

Just as he thought!

A heretic is a heretic, with divided loyalties, not to be trusted!
