Chapter 585: Chapter 451 The World Within the Demon Disaster_1 Chapter 585: Chapter 451 The World Within the Demon Disaster_1 A dark grey dense fog shrouded the land, with strange gusts all around, and from time to time came distant roars that drove one mad…

At this moment, the clearing suddenly convulsed and twisted, letting out a “scream.”

But it didn’t scream for long before it began to melt away and burn…

Following that, a flame burst forth from beneath the center of the melting.

“Is this the world deep within the disaster?”

Colin hovered in midair, flames flickering from his left eye, his whole body radiating a strong aura.

To avoid any accidents, he had already stacked all the BUFF Effects except for the short-term ones while flying up…

Now, he looked around.

Within a few kilometers, the land was ripped apart, and bizarre howls echoed all day.

An endless grey-black fog dispersed all around…

Warnings of spiritual presence came from all directions…

And an oppressive feeling like a tidal wave suffocated him.

Even though he had yet to encounter anything, Colin already felt a deep crisis.

It was as if enemies were about to attack from all around at any moment.

But fortunately, just as the “King of Mad Sounds” had said, the Magic Fog itself had a natural fear of flames; just a thumb-sized light could carve out a “safe zone” with a diameter of more than ten meters.

And his flames now kept the Magic Fog turned back for several kilometers, not daring to cross the line.

“This information should be correct, that ‘King of Mad Sounds,’ although I don’t know why it’s being so cooperative this time, its ultimate goal is inseparable from wanting to break free from the ‘Containment God Kingdom.’ In other words, before it escapes, it doesn’t want anything to happen to me…”

Colin thought it over and took another careful look around, noticing many signs of battle.

If things were as expected, this must be an area where Shana had once fought…

Then, following his intuition, he picked a direction and transformed into a streak of light and fire, quickly weaving through the traces all around.

Along the way, large amounts of Magic Fog dispersed.

And Colin encountered many remnants of horribly twisted creatures that had been killed.

These beings were not completely dead, continuously emitting random, distorted Mental Shocks, and the flesh at their fractured wounds writhed, as if attempting to heal again…

Or perhaps, mouths grew on the chunks of flesh, breathing in, trying to absorb the surrounding Magic Fog to recover and replenish themselves.

Unfortunately for them, there was a thin layer of white Light on the surface of the chunks.

This light not only kept the Magic Fog at bay but also prevented the pieces of flesh from healing back together.

“This technique, it can be confirmed as Shana’s…”

“Not seeing any Heretic Forces corpses indicates that the Magic Fog Spawned Creatures left in retreat, but these remnants look like they’ve been sliced up like in Fruit Ninja…”

Colin didn’t linger or take a closer look, continuing swiftly on his way.

Apart from the remains of the powerful creatures scattered everywhere, he also encountered the attacks of numerous Magic Fog Derivatives.

These creatures weren’t very strong; compared, they were probably about the same as The Rat, Little Cat, or small dogs—not fatal, but a nuisance. You would have to wave your hand a few times, which greatly impeded progress.

Even if being bitten by them wasn’t harmful, accumulating too many bites was another story.

But apart from that bit of bad news, there was some good news: he hadn’t encountered any Magic Fog Spawned Creatures with a strength of Third Level or above…

About ten minutes later, he saw a massive walled city and couldn’t help but be inwardly startled, taking a sharp breath.

A corner of the city, which covered dozens of square kilometers, looked as though it had been shattered by a formidable force.

In the center, a web-like ground fissure spread outwards in all directions.

Many bodies of Heretics in Cult Robes lay dead across the ground, some in pieces, some pulped, others charred black, and some seemingly intact but deader than the mangled flesh…

Moreover, among them lay a grey-black hand covered with mouths and eyes.

Even now, Colin could feel a brutally oppressive aura lingering here…

The air sometimes filled with strange whispers, a mist of blood, oddly flowing shadows, spiraling tornadoes, or bursts of intense white light flashing.

“Sheesh, part of a super-strong Level 2 Containment Subject? That was quite the fierce battle.”

Colin clicked his tongue and controlled himself to land in the midst of the town.

His gaze swept over the almost utterly destroyed city, faintly sensing that there must have been at least five parties involved here at one point.

However, from certain traces, it appeared that Shana neither died nor was captured here at that time.

This slightly relieved Colin.

“Unfortunately, I still haven’t triggered the mission, so I can’t locate her exactly.”

Colin rubbed his forehead and decided to look for any survivors, as he had sensed some signs of life when he first arrived.

But he wasn’t sure whether it was the scent of living beings from the undestroyed flesh of Extraordinary Ones, or if there were actually survivors.

Because in the city, there were many special creatures that seemed both dead and alive, their bodies melding together like mud, moving and writhing like giant banyan trees, emitting screams.

These creatures looked even more blasphemous than a Human Patchwork Monster.

And yet they exuded the scent of humans…

Colin refrained from exterminating them and quickly investigated the area, hoping to gather more useful information.

But just as he began, Colin’s scalp tingled, feeling as if he had been targeted.

Turning around, he saw from a fissure in the street that a meatball with a diameter of over five meters had flown out.

It had wings of flesh over ten feet long, its entire body a sanguine red, resembling skinless flesh—but on this chunk of flesh was a closed mouth full of serrated teeth…
