SCP Corporation: Contain Bonfire
Chapter 579 - 579 448 Lady Bunnys Mad Plan._2

Chapter 579: Chapter 448 “Lady Bunny’s” Mad Plan._2 Chapter 579: Chapter 448 “Lady Bunny’s” Mad Plan._2 “Could it be that the tasks here have come to an end?”

Based on past situations, by this time, there should’ve been new tasks handed down, at the very least, there would be some basic building task or some long-term task as a foundation…

But now, does it seem like everything has ended?

Colin then glanced at the four employees beside him, “Have you received any new tasks?”

“There was a previous ‘garrison’ task, nothing else…” Wave Rider Shunzi shook his head.

Actually having no tasks to follow up… Colin stroked his chin but didn’t dwell on it more.

There are still six days left…

Maybe at some point, new arrangements will come down?

But what Colin didn’t expect was that four or five days passed with no new content appearing, to the extent that every day, out of boredom, all he could do was eat and drink with Tina and the others, indulging in pleasure, watching the mermaids dance, slurping up giant squid…

“Sir Bonfire, are you troubled by something?”

Tina’s youthful voice rang out beside him while she was holding a roasted crab half the size of an ordinary person—

They don’t particularly like to eat these sea creatures, but since Sir Bonfire likes them, she went to catch one.

“No…”

Colin shook his head; he surely couldn’t say that he was being silly, constantly thinking why this task hadn’t sprung any surprises, right?

Taking the crab Tina handed him, Colin, observing the mermaids who had all stopped dancing to watch, waved his hand:

“Carry on playing the music, carry on dancing…”

Hearing this, the mermaids started hopping and jumping in front of the Level 5 Bonfire Hall once again.

This dance wasn’t specifically for him; it was more like the kind of square dance that elderly men and women do. However, because the mermaids looked so delicate, it was quite pleasing to the eye, and so it became one of the must-watch items for Colin and the others every day…

“No idea how these mermaids grow, each and every one is so beautiful,” Arsonist Tao Tie said from the side.

There are almost no ugly mermaids; each one could match the word “gorgeous.”

The only differences were things like their personalities…

“Yeah, yeah, if it wasn’t for the mermaids being generally twice the size of an ordinary person, I’d have thought about finding one as a partner…”

One employee lamented. Although their popularity wasn’t quite up to Brother Shunzi’s level, they were quite well-liked here.

Too bad they were afraid of being willing but unable…

The only Talent that could compensate for the size difference, “Body of Tyranny,” would completely eliminate this weakness when transformed, turning it into an “absurd notion.”

Colin didn’t interject in their conversation and temporarily had no thoughts on the matter.

The absence of additional tasks these few days gave him a sense of pleasure like being on a paid vacation.

“If only every task could be this easy.”

Colin sighed internally.

But just at that moment, his expression suddenly changed, he turned around and looked behind him at the roaring bonfire.

He could faintly hear some elusive voices coming through…

“This is bad… this…”

“Save…”

“Save Save… Shunzi… there’s a disaster…”

“Here…”

“…”

The intermittent voices kept coming, and although Colin couldn’t quite make out the words, he could sense from the tone that something not so good had happened.

“Damn…” Colin felt a headache coming on, instantly stood up, and quickly walked towards the bonfire.

“What happened?”

“What’s going on?”

The few employees had also heard the intermittent voices and could sense something might be wrong.

“Not sure…”

Colin walked into the bonfire, trying to listen more clearly and attempting to communicate.

“It’s… a disaster…”

“Save save…”

“Plague of Magic Fog…”

But unfortunately…

Colin found that they seemed to generally understand his side, but from his end, he could only receive broken pieces of voices, and most of the time, it was a familiar but uncertain female voice speaking.

Listening to it was frustrating; he almost wanted to smash the “phone.”

Such a feeling of helplessness was too unpleasant…

“Was Tina conversing with me under these conditions before? It’s remarkable she managed to communicate…”

Colin felt some sympathy for Tina.

Then, taking a deep breath, suppressing some emotions, he carefully analyzed the situation.

From some of the terms…

“‘Plague of Magic Fog’ broke out again? Damn, why does it always happen when I’m not there?”

“Is it that if I don’t leave, it doesn’t break out? Don’t make me angry, I really will release ‘King of Mad Sounds’ to keep watch…”

As a First Level Containment Subject, although it might not necessarily solve the “Disaster of Magic Fog,” it would surely be no problem to guard the home.

However…

Colin knew that it probably wasn’t feasible right now.

He suppressed his emotions, then began to soothe the other side, indicating he would come over in a couple of days to take care of the Magic Fog.

“There’s a Fourth Level Bonfire over there now, with a large group of employees, no matter what, they should be able to hold out for a while; according to this timeline, by the time I enter next, only two days would have passed over there…”

After ending the conversation with the other side, Colin couldn’t concern himself with whether to keep playing the music or dancing.

“Brother Shunzi, what happened?” The employees on the side looked over with concern.

“There’s some trouble in World Code 13.”

Colin gave a brief explanation.

He hadn’t expected that the place he had visited would remain untroubled while trouble arose in a place he hadn’t visited.

The unexpected happened, albeit late.

And the most difficult aspect was that being in a different world, he didn’t really have a way to help.

“Gotta get the flame there up to Level 5 as soon as possible, see if there’s a chance to open a passage, to prevent similar situations from happening…”

Colin’s thoughts flashed through his mind, then he looked at Tina and the others, who were watching worriedly from afar, and reminded his companions, “Let’s not mention any of this to Tina and the others.”
