Chapter 540: Chapter 431 First Level Containment Subject “King of Savage Sound”!_1 Chapter 540: Chapter 431 First Level Containment Subject “King of Savage Sound”!_1 “Let me out, let me out…”
“I already know my mistakes…”
“Great Rosen, please, I beg you, let me out, I sincerely pray here…”
“I am willing to become human and struggle for the rise of mankind, and take up this just cause without hesitation…”
“…”
The slightly distorted, yet still clear words were emitted by the Little Maid.
Colin only listened briefly before immediately recalling a short but quite memorable encounter from before.
“This tone… is it that guy from the depths of the Underground Labyrinth?”
Colin’s expression was slightly odd.
In thought, memories surged forward, and indeed it was through this being that he first learned of the name Rosen.
In that encounter, the other thought he was Rosen and so kept praying.
But…
“Once this guy recognizes me, the probability of him turning hostile was pretty high, wasn’t it?”
Colin muttered quietly, however, he was still quite interested in this alleged relic from a past era, a First Level Containment Subject.
After all, it was a high-level containment subject, and perhaps he could get something interesting out of it.
With that in mind, he looked at the Little Maid and asked, “Can we make contact with it?”
If they were to communicate with it from here, that would be relatively safe.
“I can try, but I suggest not to do it at this place.”
‘Not here?’
Colin was initially startled, then realized that regardless of whether they could make contact, if they did, this place would likely be exposed to the other’s view.
Being watched by a First Level Containment Subject was not good news.
He nodded, stood up immediately, instructed others about some matters, and then left the territory, choosing a direction at random and flying for nearly half an hour before stopping.
Thereafter, Colin set up some “Flame Bearer” Grease cans.
The Little Maid didn’t dawdle, part of her intelligent mechanical body seeped into the ground, seemingly making contact with the other party.
Unfortunately…
Several minutes later, the Little Maid looked back at Colin: “I can confirm that my message has been sent. Theoretically, it should have been received, but for some reason, it did not reveal a status of having received the information.”
“Also, its voice is starting to weaken now.”
“Is that so? It seems the ‘Containment God Kingdom’ is holding it quite strictly.”
Colin hesitated about whether to go to the underground area: “Right, this call for help, has it happened in the past as well, or is it just today?”
“I’m not sure, it should only be able to send signals during the transition from ‘night’ to ‘day.’ I might have received it before as well, but I’m usually in a dispersed state at that time, with not enough power, so I didn’t receive it…”
The Little Maid pulled up her previous work reports and guessed it was likely that the calls had been going on, but due to work, she hadn’t noticed…
“Is that so.”
Colin nodded, then looking in the direction of the Underground Great Labyrinth with a certain perception.
Flames flickered within his gaze…
‘Although it’s a First Level Containment Subject, it’s in a forced state, so given my current strength, it should be okay to talk to it from a certain distance.’
As thoughts turned, Colin had more or less made a decision.
As an enemy of the company in the past, this thing definitely had a lot of understanding of the company.
For example, the upper management structure, the 2044 disaster, the Red Moon, or the whereabouts of “0-09 ‘Hunger'”…
For the sake of this knowledge, the risk was worth taking.
Having decided, Colin did not hesitate; he once again soared into the sky and dived towards the target direction.
About several hours later, he arrived again at the edge of the Underground Giant Great Labyrinth.
Not far ahead lay a ground fissure.
Traveling down the fissure for a bit, he would find the labyrinth.
The last time he went to retrieve those misfortunate “Heroes,” Colin followed this route.
Nowadays, those “Heroes” had already awoken some time ago and joined the construction here, but generally, they were not much help.
After all, to this world, the only thing of value they had was the knowledge in their heads.
But in this respect, the employees handpicked by Colin knew even more.
And what made it even more awkward was that since they came here through non-company channels and got mixed up with some inexplicable stuff.
So…
They couldn’t return to the other side through the company’s channels.
“Though thanks to having those special organs implanted, their physical fitness is quite sharp now.”
Shaking his head, Colin withdrew his gaze from the crack, not rushing in. He took out various items: “Flame Bearer” Grease, Energy Crystal Blocks, a Revolver, and so on, roughly reinforcing himself.
Afterward, Colin jumped into one of the ground fissures and continued onwards, guided by his memory.
Soon, he came across yet another entrance to the chaotic underground labyrinth.
After making sure he was fully prepared, his figure flickered, leaping inside.
It was at that very moment, as his foot touched the floor…
Colin clearly “heard” over and over again the pleading voice in his ear.
The content wasn’t much different from what the Little Maid translated…
However, it was right after he “heard” the sound here that the pleading voice suddenly stopped, followed by a presence laden with intense oppression that seemed to sweep over him.
The next instant, a tumult of savage, grating noise erupted around him…
Colin felt the entire area around him vibrating incessantly.
The air, the ground, everything seemed to be stirred by something.
