Chapter 531: Chapter 427: Cutting “Saintess” Shana in Half._3 Chapter 531: Chapter 427: Cutting “Saintess” Shana in Half._3 As they spoke, she glanced outside. Through the nearby light, she could see the refugees in the area being managed in an orderly fashion by the others, which caused some turmoil in her heart…

Shana felt that her own ability to manage common people was as “pale” as the skills the Agent of the Bonfire demonstrated in his strength.

She really wanted to ask the other how to effectively manage the refugees without resorting to measures like temporary enforced brainwashing.

However, thinking about the exorbitant “tuition fee” Colin had asked for just to give her some instruction, she found herself unable to open her mouth.

She couldn’t afford such high points and could only secretly observe the situation outside while fighting, trying to learn on her own. Sadly, there was still so much she didn’t understand…

Colin, however, had no idea about the Saintess’s thoughts. After discussing training methods,

he curiously brought up the question of the Bone Spur, “About that White Bone Spur, the Holy Relic… can we talk about it?”

“That ‘Holy Relic’?” The Saintess was surprised he brought it up.

“Yeah, if it’s inconvenient, we don’t have to discuss it.”

“Actually, it’s not taboo… It’s essentially about a Saint from hundreds of years ago who appeared during an event known as the ‘Rain of Filth.’ In order to stop a disaster, he absorbed the source of the disaster into his own body…”

The Saintess spoke slowly, with vague inherited images surfacing in her mind.

She seemed to see, through the depths of history, a luminous figure standing before an indescribably horrific disaster, using “Chains of Light” to drag the aberration into his own body.

And then…

Her beautiful brown hair rapidly fell out, her fair skin swelled and darkened, and her pores oozed foul-smelling filth. In extreme agony, she let the “Chains of Light” wind around her, layer by layer.

After completing the sealing of the source, she fell into a lake formed by the polluted rainwater, where her body lay decaying for an unknowable amount of time…

Until many years later, when the pollution from the ‘Rain of Filth’ had receded, some people luckily found her.

By then, the Saint, once called the most holy and beautiful of all, had decayed into nothing but scattered bones on the dried-up lakebed.

Within those remains, one of the bones in the right hand was the vessel for the ‘Rain of Filth.’

Later on, some people polished it and turned it into a certain artifact…

As it became famous, some members of the Church of Light realized it belonged to the remains of a Saint.

Thus, they recovered it.

But, about a hundred years ago, it was stolen from the storehouse by a ‘Honest Knight’ who had defected from the Kingdom of Knights, and once again, it was lost.

“The Honest Knight?” Colin looked puzzled, as if he had realized something.

“Yes, an Honest Knight who upheld ‘Humility,’ ‘Glory,’ and ‘Honesty,’ with ‘Honesty’ as his main Virtue. His reasons for defection are unknown, as is his reason for specifically stealing the Bone Spur. After all, the records are too few and I am not a witness. However, since the Bone Spur ended up in your hands, it means he’s dead. When he stole the Holy Relic, he was already around one hundred and seventy or eighty years old. By now, he’d be around three hundred, and one with the Three Virtues does not live that long…”

‘Not necessarily dead…’

Upon hearing this, Colin subconsciously retorted in his mind.

If nothing unexpected had happened, they might have indirectly met a few months ago.
