Chapter 377 - 377 369 Time Stasis Item Liberation

Chapter 377: Chapter 369 “Time Stasis” Item Liberation Application! (Two in One)_3 Chapter 377: Chapter 369 “Time Stasis” Item Liberation Application! (Two in One)_3 The mission now included a three-hour countdown ticking away…

“Three hours should be enough,” he muttered, “to restore it by at least ninety percent without any issue.”

Colin estimated and made some judgements.

Unless something unexpected happened, the real trouble was yet to come…

“I hope the ‘Flame Bearer’s’ power truly can avoid contamination as that guy claimed,”

Colin silently prayed within his heart.

However, while he was pondering, another new mission popped up.

[Event Two: It is anticipated that in one hour, you will align with the eighth carriage. Please prepare as required to enter the subsequent carriages and carry out a suppression action in the 8th and 9th carriages.]

“Note: Investigation of the ninth detached out-of-control carriage upon completion will be regarded as the completion of this mission, with a substantial reward granted.”

“Caution: You may choose whether to conduct a deeper investigation.”

Huh?

Colin gave a start, finding the new mission seemed to be in conflict with the current one he was carrying out.

The current task was to stop in the seventh carriage for three hours.

This one was about continuing into the next carriage…

“What’s this about?”

While the “Son of Cruelty” also received the mission, he looked puzzled, turning towards Brother Shunzi, “If I remember correctly, this seems like the usual mission progression, from 3 to 5, 5 to 7, 7 to 9… Which one should we be carrying out?”

Hearing him, Colin recalled something and said with confusion, “I’ve always wondered, besides us here, has anyone ever made it to the seventh carriage?”

At that, the others were startled, then thought for a moment, and one by one, shook their heads.

“Seems not… the fifth is the limit, 5 to 7 is certain, but 7 to 9 is uncertain. Besides us here, I’ve never heard of anyone else getting this far.”

“Then how do you know that it will continue in order after 7?”

“Well… it seems there was this notion, but no one knows who started it.” After some thought, they all seemed unsure.

With this new variable in the mission, staying here one couldn’t know what might happen, but venturing into the subsequent carriages was equally unknown.

A wrong choice might lead to serious trouble, perhaps being trapped here forever.

Seeing everyone’s expressions, Colin bit into a piece of concentrated chocolate to supplement energy, then licked his chapped lips before continuing:

“Then, let’s stick with the mission to stay here for three hours and ignore the one about moving to the next carriage.”

The previous mission was likely sent by “Lady Rabbit,” as one could see her stamp. Ever since the incident in “The Seventh Box Garden World,” any mission from “Lady Rabbit” seemed to have a stamp that others couldn’t notice.

As for this newly appearing one, there were two possibilities…

One was that the “Ghost Train” carried it intrinsically.

Meaning, reaching a certain point automatically triggered the next task, a part of some mechanical procedure.

The second possibility was akin to the mysterious trap mission that had thrown him into “The Seventh Box Garden World” previously; perhaps some fiend or specter was exerting influence in the dark, attempting to ensnare him.

If it were the second scenario, whether one could return after entering was highly doubtful.

Weighing the options, Colin chose “Lady Rabbit.”

“So, will the people from the eighth carriage come in?” the former team leader “Son of Cruelty” couldn’t help asking.

So far, it seemed that if one stayed away from the Mist Gate for too long, people from the other carriages might take the initiative to come over.

“Not quite sure, but if they do come over, I’ll deal with them quickly,” said Colin reassuringly.

During the seventh cycle, he had not used the Bone Spur to preserve some dignity for them.

But in the eighth cycle, he would need to employ Time Stop to quickly end the battle for each of them.

As things stood, D Level Personnel still didn’t have many effective countermeasures against the “Time Freeze” item.

Relieved by his words, the others trusted Brother Shunzi implicitly.

And as time ticked by…

One hour later.

The faces of “Son of Cruelty” and the others changed slightly as the spacious double doors of the Mist Gate once again appeared before them.
