Chapter 316 - 316 314 The Most Infamous Level 0 Containment

Chapter 316: Chapter 314: The Most Infamous “Level 0” Containment Subject_1 Chapter 316: Chapter 314: The Most Infamous “Level 0” Containment Subject_1 Eighteen huge, azure-black palms covered the sky and earth, nearly sealing off all corners, bringing an oppressive and suffocating terror.

On each of these palms was a mouth like an abyss, vast and without teeth.

“Damn it! How could I encounter such a cursed thing the moment I got out?”

The Demon Earl couldn’t help but recall the deep-seated fear of being dominated by “Hunger” from the depths of his memory.

Originally, he thought the human coaxing the bloodthirsty demon was just an ordinary human, at most a lower-level employee, the kind without high-level permissions; observations had indeed confirmed this.

But unexpectedly, while the lower-level employee was indeed a lower-level employee, why the hell did he have a “Level 0” Containment Subject with him?

And it was one of the most infamous among “Level 0″…

Muttering curses under his breath, he glared resentfully at a few individuals behind him, wishing he could slaughter them first.

However, at this moment, there was no time to think about that, as memories from his “ancestors” awakened within the Demon Earl’s heart, giving him a sense of something. A terrifying black mist erupted from his body, shaking off some invisible restraints around him.

“That was close, I almost got controlled to death.”

The Demon Earl let out a breath of relief, thoughts flashing through his mind of countless “ancestors'” tear-stained experiences dealing with this accursed creature. He knew that had he reacted a moment slower, with the space around him solidifying, he would likely have been instantly killed.

Next, he swung his axe in an attempt to cleave through space and achieve teleportation, but regretfully, the “stomach” that had enveloped him was incredibly tough, an impossibility to break through.

Taking a deep breath, he watched the overwhelming barrage of attacks with eyes like a blazing furnace, quickly pondering strategies to counter the assault.

“Fortunately, the level of control doesn’t seem to be very high yet; traits like ignoring spatial laws, consuming rules, or being an unknowable and unseeable entity have not yet emerged, or else there truly would have been no chance of fighting back.”

After rapidly searching through his memories, his gaze suddenly fell on a red figure beneath the mountain-like phantom shadows. The figure was covered in red hair, radiating an ominous presence, clearly the bearer of “Hunger.”

If he could behead it…

The Demon Earl extended a huge hand, reaching out across a considerable distance, trying to launch some kind of curse-based attack.

However, just as he initiated his attack, a hand suddenly blocked it, cutting off the space between them.

Normally, once he had locked onto a target, his “curse kill” was not something to be simply blocked.

But inexplicably, that’s exactly what happened…

As one of the azure-black hands sucked in air, his attack dissipated like a stone sunk into the sea.

“Truly a monster.”

The Demon Earl inhaled sharply, his combat instincts telling him that ambushing its true body was most likely impossible, so he immediately abandoned that course of action and targeted a comparatively less substantial hand without a mouth for a surprise attack.

Under the current circumstances, it was impossible for every hand to possess the same strength.

The several “Containers” by his side also didn’t hesitate to follow suit after seeing this.

Facing their full-force attack, the slightly weaker hand was breached.

However, one “Container” acted a bit too slowly and failed to escape the encirclement. In his panic, he threw out an energy blade filled with terrifying force, filled with an array of torpedo bombs.

Yet, to his shock, before the blade could explode upon striking the enemy hand, it was swallowed by the mouth on the hand.

The giant hand drew ever closer to him…

Seeing this, he hastily released a mass of spores and tried to command other infected individuals to take the blow for him.

But at that moment, his body stumbled, rapidly losing vitality.

Dozens of giant hands grabbed onto him, and like tearing dried squid, they shredded him and consumed his pieces.

“You!” The remaining two “Containers” looked at the Great Demon with uncertainty.

They had just witnessed how their companion, upon being seized by a mere gesture from this being, suffered catastrophic injuries, only to be easily slain by the enemy afterward.

“He can’t escape now, instead of letting him carry a load of nourishment and give his Divine essence to that monster as an added meal, I prefer to hasten his end,”

stated the Demon Earl coldly.

One of the “Containers,” after a moment of silence, gazed at the massive demon before them, towering at over ten meters tall, and asked, “So what should we do now? How can we defeat that thing? We summoned you specifically to beat it!”

‘Defeat it? Come, come, come, take the title of Demon Earl for yourself, and you try to beat it.’

The Demon Earl almost laughed at his words. If the other could truly defeat “0-9 ‘Hunger,'” then what was he doing as an Earl? He would have run for the position of Demon Duke or Prince long ago!

The harsh reality he faced after searching his ancestors’ memories was a message of despair.

Under current conditions, “0-9 ‘Hunger'” was unbeatable.

Even though, in actuality, his strength or various attributes were actually slightly higher than the opponent’s.

But against “Hunger,” if it wasn’t a significant advantage, then it hardly mattered at all.

In battle, the enemy could continuously devour their attacks, growing stronger as the fight progressed, while they themselves would be gradually consumed…

In other words, if you slash at it with a sword, it could devour the force of your blow, and from the next attack onward, each strike would be a combination of your attack + its own, acting as a sort of high-level, perverse deflection…

To defeat it, you needed some special rule-based methods.

“Stop dreaming, it’s impossible to beat it, especially now that we are fighting inside its ‘belly,'”

said the Demon Earl.

“Then what do we do? Just wait to die?” another “Container” spoke up.

At that moment, the eerie laughter sounded again, as the terrifying creature, having finished off one of their companions, approached once more.

“Hahaha, all of you must die, none of you can escape, to be devoured by me is your honor! It is also your only choice!”

Colin’s smile was slightly twisted as he reached out with both hands, extending them forward, and once again reached over. After swallowing another lamb, his recovery had now reached 2.1%.

The strange cyan-black miasma, like his stomach acid, grew ever more plentiful within the gastric spatial realm…

Many weaker creatures, not even requiring his direct intervention, had been completely digested.

And he wasn’t in a rush to devour the larger, fattier “sheep” scurrying about either; instead, he toyed with them, relishing in the pleasure of fishing in murky waters…

“Happy little fresh produce, happy little grilled catfish…”

Humming a tune, Colin launched his attack, his eyes growing increasingly insane.

In his eyes, those twisted creatures, all festooned with distorted tentacles, had become a seafood feast, ready to be stuffed into his mouth…

Meanwhile, the Demon Earl struggled to defend himself, narrowly escaping several times from beneath the large hand, and seizing the momentary gap in the attack, he hastily spoke:

“Just because we can’t handle it, doesn’t mean nobody can!”

“Who?”

“‘Bonfire Campsite’!”
