SCP Corporation: Contain Bonfire
Chapter 123 - 123 123 Code_1

Chapter 123: Chapter 123 Code_1 Chapter 123: Chapter 123 Code_1 “He who can open this piece of paper must be a normal human, because the ‘Containment Subject’ would ignore these things. I don’t care how you got in here or what faction you belong to, but you must be careful…”

“Never trust the ‘Narrator’! Do not do as it asks, or you will merge into this world and become part of its vast puppetry!”

“Do not use the ‘Book of Fate’, or you will get noticed by the ‘Script Book’, and face its direct targeting!”

“Then, the only way out before it arranges for your death is to immediately head to ‘Rain City’…”

“‘Passionate Paradise’ has lost control; it is being contaminated by the ‘Crimson’, be very careful, we could be assimilated by ‘Passionate Paradise’!”

“Also, be cautious at one o’clock in the morning every Friday, pay attention to time, the real time…”

“If you cannot withstand the ‘Crimson’ and are at your limit, then you can shout ‘Praise the eternal night’ to call forth the heavy rain, and try to run to where it is raining; the last survivors are there…”

“We have established the last shelter here, we are benevolent and willing to exchange secrets with everyone…”

“One last thing, ‘Passionate Paradise’ cannot escape due to some reasons, but we have found a way out…”

“Left by someone ahead? Was it the official team from the Sino-American joint production, or other colleagues?”

Colin never expected that he would still find a note left by predecessors here…

The richness of information on it surprised him somewhat.

“They not only discovered the ‘Book of Fate: Fragment’, but they also know the name ‘Script Book’, and even know about its opposition to the ‘Book of Fate’; there’s indeed some substance…”

Colin felt that if he hadn’t already received the corresponding intel from Lady Bunny, he would have been greatly surprised.

“‘Passionate Paradise’ is being contaminated by the crimson?”

“What does this sentence mean, the crimson? What does that signify? I’m so annoyed with these people and their riddles, I just want to kill them all!”

“Forget it, skip ahead—be careful at one o’clock in the morning every Friday, today is Friday, and time has already passed…”

“No, the real time, is that referring to the real-world time?”

Colin pondered for a moment, recalling that today was Thursday, and Friday was tomorrow.

Reality seems to be one day behind the world of the copies…

But then, what’s the point of paying attention to this?

However, he did remember something else, something ‘Two-Faced’ had mentioned in the messages he sent out…

He had safely made it through the first day with no issues, but something happened at dawn during the first night which led to the absence of any messages on the second day, until finally, there was a reply on the third day.

It was unclear what he had encountered during that intermediate time.

“It seems he must have called out this… eternal night and entered that shelter?”

Colin frowned, thinking of ‘Two-Faced’s words, and felt that this shelter might not necessarily be a good place.

“Sigh, this place is truly full of mysteries, there’s a pile of problems in front of me yet to be solved, and now a bunch more troubles pop up…”

He sighed and jotted down the content of the note before putting the note back in its original place within the book.

Then, he searched through other books and soon realized that other books also contained a similar note, almost every book had one, but the content was the same.

Seeing this, he didn’t want to waste any more time there…

“These notes, they kind of make me feel like I’m involved in a pyramid scheme… I’ll talk to the others later and see if they’ve collected any other information.”

Colin muttered, meticulously replacing the books back to their original spots, and then he began to patiently “attend class”.

A few minutes later, the bell signaling the end of class suddenly rang.

The female teacher, with a ruler in her left hand and chalk in her right, turned her head towards the doorbell, and after it stopped, she tapped the blackboard with her ruler, saying indifferently:

“Let’s just finish this one problem, it’s quick, won’t take two minutes.”

Damn, dragging out the lesson to the last as well…

Colin was speechless inside, but still listened patiently, and as promised, it really did not take more than two minutes to finish the last problem.

“Next class your physics lesson will be switched with next Tuesday’s physical education…”

The female teacher with the long ruler hadn’t finished speaking when a cheer suddenly erupted in the classroom. All the students seemed very excited. Once everyone calmed down, the teacher gestured for quiet with a slight press of her hand in the air and said expressionlessly:

“However, your P.E. teacher is sick, so the next class will still be math. Alright, class dismissed. Go to the bathroom…”

After finishing her sentence, she turned around and left, leaving behind a deflated classroom.

“That’s brutal. They’re a bunch of monsters, and they still have to attend classes…”

Colin muttered to himself. Seeing that the female teacher had disappeared into the corridor, he stood up and walked over to his colleague, who had just been scolded:

“Sky King…”

“Covering Earth Tiger…”

“Going to the bathroom?”

“Sure.”

A colleague from the first row also spoke up, “Wait, take me with you…”

“You… Big Hammer…”

“80.”

“Got it, let’s go.”

After confirming their code words, Colin nodded and glanced uncertainly at the only girl in the room.

“The milky white Xuezi…” the girl said to the three of them.

At these words, including Colin, all three fell silent for a moment—so she was one of them.

It’s just that no names were mentioned, so none of them actually knew who the others were.

“I… I mean, let’s talk outside, it’s not appropriate to speak here.”

As she spoke, the only girl who had been called upon to answer questions in class was the first to leave the room.

Colin and the others looked at each other, hesitated for a few seconds, and followed her out together.

They didn’t actually go to any bathrooms, but instead, found a spot in the corridor to huddle together.

“Dude, what’s your situation? If I remember correctly, isn’t this place only accessible to males?”

One of the colleagues couldn’t help but ask first.

“I don’t know, I seem to be a girl, yet also, not…”

“What do you mean?”

“I… have both male and female… stuff, but there are only girls’ clothes at home, so I can only dress like a girl.”

Well, that’s androgynous…

Colin and the others were taken aback, for this was something they had only seen on TV.

“How can this be? Which one are you? If you don’t come clean, we can’t trust you…”

“I’m Dog Brother.”

The girl spoke up, awkwardly saying, “Uh, maybe there was some ambiguity in my gender characteristics when I came in, causing a bug. This issue is pressing for time, so let’s not talk about it now, it shouldn’t affect things…”

“True.”

“Indeed.”

Colin nodded in agreement, then noticed a complex expression on the other two’s faces, a mixture of relief and apprehension.

“Right, is it just us here, or is there another person?”

“Nothing bad happened to them, did it?”

“Let’s not worry about them for now, our matter here is urgent. How are things on your side?”

The girl known as “Dog Brother” said, “On my way here, I seem to have made some special discoveries.”
