It had been a while since she had seen Leng Xuan, and to say she didn’t miss him would be a lie, but there were few opportunities for them to meet. Although they occasionally contacted each other by phone, in those calls, she was too shy to express many feelings, so each conversation was just small talk about recent events and daily life before hanging up.

"What brought you to the cafeteria today?" Zhou Li casually asked.

Leng Xuan smiled and said, "I missed the taste of the cafeteria food, so I came."

"Really?" Zhou Li naturally knew Leng Xuan’s words were an excuse, but she didn’t plan to pry further. She randomly picked another subject and mentioned, "I heard from my brother that he is working for you now? Is that leisure and wellness center yours?"

Leng Xuan nodded and said, "I co-own it with others. I’m barely the majority shareholder. Brother Zhou used to be in the military, good at security work, so I asked him to help out. Rest assured, our place is a legitimate leisure center; there won’t be any troubles."

"Thank you," Zhou Li said as she ate, "Brother mentioned you offered him a good salary, and our family’s situation has improved a lot."

Leng Xuan chuckled and replied, "That’s what Brother Zhou deserves. No need for thanks, otherwise it feels too formal."

At that moment, Zhou Li’s face turned slightly red with embarrassment as she asked, "Are you free next Friday evening?"

Leng Xuan glanced at her and asked, "What’s up? Is there something you need?"

"The college entrance exams are approaching, and soon everyone will go their separate ways. Our class is organizing a dance, and everyone is required to bring a companion." Zhou Li looked at Leng Xuan with hopeful eyes and said, "I don’t know many guys, so if you’re free, please come with me."

Leng Xuan scratched his head, feeling somewhat troubled by Zhou Li’s invitation. He had been busy ensuring Miss Ling’s safety and really didn’t have much free time. Leng Xuan nodded and replied, "Okay, I’ll drive to pick you up then."

After lunch, they returned to their classrooms. That afternoon, Leng Xuan sat at his desk, thinking about when to take time to visit the leisure center. It had already opened for business, but due to Ling Xuejiu’s circumstances, he hadn’t visited yet. Although Zhao Xiaoqing kept him updated over the phone, he still hoped to see it personally, as it was his first investment. Suddenly, an idea struck him.

After school, Leng Xuan drove, turning to Ling Xuejiu and Li Mengjie, and said, "We won’t go home first today. How about I take you to a place?"

Li Mengjie, full of interest, asked, "Which place? Is it fun?"

Leng Xuan played coy and answered, "You’ll know once we get there." With that, he started the car and sped off toward the leisure and wellness center. About ten minutes later, they arrived at the destination. Leng Xuan opened the car door and said with a smile, "We’re here, get out."
