Chapter 472: Yurou had a car accident 3

Half an hour later, the emergency room doors swung open, and a doctor emerged. Su Zhenggang and Leng Xuan quickly approached him.

"Dr. Chen, how is my sister?" Su Zhenggang asked anxiously, his face showing deep concern.

Dr. Chen removed his mask and gave a wry smile. "Captain Su, your sister’s injuries aren’t severe. She just lost too much blood. We’ve already transfused matching blood into her, so there’s no longer any danger to her life."

Su Zhenggang breathed a sigh of relief and, trying to make light of the situation, joked with Leng Xuan, "I’ve always said my sister is a kindhearted person. Heaven wouldn’t be that cruel, right? Haha!"

Leng Xuan also felt a weight lift from his heart and smiled faintly. However, his mind had already drifted to another matter. Who was behind this car accident? Could it be Cao Shaoyi again? If it really was him, Leng Xuan vowed not to let him live.

Although Su Yurou was now out of danger, she remained in a coma. After being taken out of the emergency room, she was wheeled by nurses straight to Room 403 of the inpatient department, with Leng Xuan and Su Zhenggang following.

After staying with Su Yurou for a while, Su Zhenggang suddenly remembered Uncle Zhao. He turned to Leng Xuan with a rueful smile and said, "Leng Xuan, could you help me look after Xin’er for a bit? I need to check on Uncle Zhao’s condition."

Seeing Su Yurou’s pallid face and sensing her weakened state, Leng Xuan was worrying about how to get Su Zhenggang to leave so he could use his True Qi to help her recover some Vital Energy. Su Zhenggang’s offer to visit Uncle Zhao gave Leng Xuan a moment of joy. He replied, "Hmm, Big Brother Su, you go ahead. I’ll take good care of Yurou."

Su Zhenggang nodded, said nothing more, and went to another room to check on Uncle Zhao. Uncle Zhao’s injuries weren’t severe, and he had already regained consciousness. Two police officers were taking his statement.

When they saw Su Zhenggang enter, the two officers greeted him and then excused themselves.

Uncle Zhao gave Su Zhenggang a look and asked anxiously, "Young Master Zhenggang, you’re here. How is Miss?"

"Yurou is out of danger now," Su Zhenggang replied with a smile. "The doctor said she’s quite weak and hasn’t woken up yet. How about you, Uncle Zhao?"

"As long as Miss is alright, I’m relieved," Uncle Zhao responded with his own sigh of relief. "I’m okay. It’s just some minor external injuries."

"That’s good to hear!" Su Zhenggang said. "But Uncle Zhao, what exactly happened? How did you get into an accident? Did someone intentionally ram your car?"

"Intentional?" Uncle Zhao was taken aback for a moment. "I can’t really say. I was driving Miss back to Imperial Scenery Garden, and halfway there, an old, rickety truck caught up to us from behind, then there was a collision, and eventually, the truck knocked us over on the side of the road. After that, the truck didn’t stop and drove away."

Su Zhenggang’s eyebrows knitted together as he asked, "Do you remember the license plate number of that truck?"

Uncle Zhao shook his head. "I didn’t notice that."

Su Zhenggang thought for a moment. It seemed unlikely that he’d find any useful leads from Uncle Zhao. He decided to wait for Ning Xin’er to call up surveillance footage. After staying with Uncle Zhao for a while longer, he said, "Uncle Zhao, you should rest. I’m going to check and see if Yurou has woken up."

"You go ahead, Young Master Zhenggang, don’t worry about me," Uncle Zhao reassured him with a nod.
