Old Master chuckled and patted Leng Xuan on the shoulder, saying, "Just have a doctor take a look, and that’s it, haha!"

Leng Xuan instantly broke into a sweat. The Old Master was quite the gossip, wasn’t he? But upon second thought, he understood something, and with a slight smile, he walked out with the Old Master.

As the door opened, Ling Xuejiu saw that both Leng Xuan and Grandpa Ling were smiling, which made her feel a bit puzzled, "Grandpa, what were you and Leng Xuan talking about that made you so happy?"

The Old Master smiled and said, "Nothing much, just chatting about some things. Right, Leng Xuan?"

Leng Xuan coughed and nodded, "Mhm."

Ling Xuejiu pursed her lips skeptically. She didn’t buy it, but there was nothing she could do if Grandpa didn’t want to talk.

Ling Ao and Madame Ren exchanged glances, then Madame Ren said, "Dad, it’s getting late. Shall we head back for today?"

The Old Master nodded and replied, "Okay." He then gave Leng Xuan a peculiar look and said with a strange smile, "Leng Xuan, go to the hospital tomorrow to have a check-up. If you sleepwalk like this again, it will really be quite worrying."

Leng Xuan somewhat embarrassedly replied with a mhm, but didn’t say anything else.

Madame Ren’s expression shifted subtly; why did it feel like Old Master and Leng Xuan had some unspoken secret between them? Her thoughts quickly turned, and with a faint smile, she said, "Dad, I know a psychologist who returned from the United States. She is quite an expert in this field. Shall I give her a call to see when she’s free and have her come over to take a look at Leng Xuan?"

The Old Master frowned slightly; he knew exactly what his daughter-in-law was up to. Having her friend come over to give Leng Xuan psychological treatment was nothing more than wanting to know whether Leng Xuan was truly sleepwalking or faking it. Li Mengjie smirked and said, "Xue Jiu, do you think Cold Bodyguard and Grandpa Ling have some sort of strange relationship or something?"

"A strange relationship?" Ling Xuejiu looked confused and asked, "Xiao Jie, what do you mean by that?"

Li Mengjie smirked mysteriously and said, "It’s quite simple. Your grandma passed away a long time ago, right? And back then, Grandpa Ling was only in his twenties, and he never remarried after that, right?"

Ling Xuejiu had never seen her own grandmother, only hearing Grandpa Ling mention that she died in childbirth with her dad. Sometimes, she would even try to imagine what her grandmother looked like because there wasn’t even a single photo of her at Grandpa Ling’s place. Hearing Li Mengjie bring up her grandmother unexpectedly made her feel a pang of sadness, "So what if he never remarried? Xiao Jie, why bring this up all of a sudden?"
