"Huh?" Pang Shanshan was taken aback, then she thought of something and her face turned red. A promise of her body? That was just a joke, and had Leng Xuan not mentioned it, she would have completely forgotten about it. She couldn’t believe this guy actually took it seriously? Though she was extremely annoyed, considering that she was asking for his help, it obviously wasn’t the right time for a lecture. What if she upset him and he didn’t go with her? What would she do then? She didn’t want to meet Wei Li alone. So, rolling her eyes, she said irritably, "You took that seriously?"

Leng Xuan feigned surprise and said, "Uh, don’t your words count?"

Pang Shanshan pursed her lips and said, "Hmph!"

Leng Xuan found it funny inside. He was just teasing the girl, with no real expectation that she would honor such a promise. Seeing that Pang Shanshan was thin-skinned, he lost interest in teasing her further, asked for the location, and then focused on driving his own car.

Twenty minutes later, Leng Xuan parked the car in front of a large shopping mall and got out with Pang Shanshan, heading toward the mall.

"Are you really going to buy me clothes?" Leng Xuan asked as they walked.

Pang Shanshan said, "What else, do you plan on wearing that outfit?"

Leng Xuan chuckled and didn’t feel embarrassed in the least. Accompanying her on this trip without any compensation wouldn’t do, would it? You know, even escorts get paid, let alone a fake boyfriend—it’s not exactly an easy part-time job. This much was clear from Pang Shanshan’s attitude toward Wei Li; the fact that Wei Li asked her out to eat didn’t seem to bode well. Otherwise, she wouldn’t have dragged him along as her companion.

However, no matter what schemes or tricks Wei Li might have up his sleeve, Leng Xuan didn’t take him seriously, which is why he agreed so boldly and fearlessly to accompany Pang Shanshan.

Upon entering the mall, Pang Shanshan seemed to know her way around very well, directly leading Leng Xuan to the men’s section on the fourth floor, and then into a BOSS Store.

"Welcome, how can I help you? Is the gentleman here to buy clothes?" A sweet-faced, professionally dressed saleswoman stepped forward with a professional smile for Leng Xuan and Pang Shanshan.

Pang Shanshan nodded and, seeing the saleswoman looking at her and Leng Xuan as if she found something odd, felt a bit guilty and quickly explained, "He’s my younger brother!"

"Oh, haha!" The saleswoman’s look was actually quite normal; it was just Pang Shanshan feeling guilty. Hearing her words, the saleswoman paused, then, understanding Pang Shanshan’s intention, smiled and said, "I can see that!"

"Hmm?" Pang Shanshan was startled and felt slightly uncomfortable inside. She had deliberately dressed younger today to match Leng Xuan’s age. Looking in the mirror before leaving, she felt she looked about the same age as Leng Xuan. Now the saleswoman was saying it was obvious? Could it be that she looked really old? That no amount of dressing up could hide it? Thinking this, she went to a mirror and looked at herself; she didn’t feel old at all. Her skin was still so tender, her chest still firm, and her figure was nothing but fabulous!

With that thought, she felt a little bitter but didn’t think it was worth arguing with a saleswoman, so she just pouted and let it go, starting to help Leng Xuan look for clothes instead!
