Leng Xuan’s sudden interjection of violence, punching someone without any warning, left Niu Peng and Zhou Qiang, who had just been revelling in schadenfreude, completely pale-faced. As they watched Leng Xuan approaching, their legs shivered uncontrollably, and they felt as though the air around them had turned dreadfully cold!

However, Leng Xuan didn’t even glance at these two lackeys as he walked straight through them and entered the classroom!

The morning passed by quickly.

Differently from usual, when Leng Xuan went to the cafeteria today, he was accompanied by two sidekicks, Jack and Zhao Xiaotian. Jack, whose family was quite wealthy, wouldn’t normally dine at such a place, but he wanted to get closer to Leng Xuan, so he followed along.

As the trio neared the cafeteria, the entrance was already bustling and overcrowded.

"There are so many people here!" Jack complained, "Boss, do you usually eat here?"

Before Leng Xuan could respond, Zhao Xiaotian retorted irritably, "The food here is actually pretty good, Jack. Since you’re following the Boss, stop being so picky."

Jack laughed and said, "Alright then, I’ll have whatever the Boss is having."

"Hey, Boss, look, isn’t that Zhou Li from Senior Year, Class 4?" Suddenly, Zhao Xiaotian’s eyes lit up as he noticed a beautiful girl in a school uniform standing at a less crowded spot by the entrance of the cafeteria. It was none other than Zhou Li.

Upon hearing this, Leng Xuan glanced over and noticed Zhou Li looking around as if she were searching for someone. Although he was curious and initially wanted to greet her, he reconsidered, thinking about how the school was rife with gossip. The innocent friendships or sibling-like relationships often got twisted into romantic ones, as had happened with him and Su Yurou. With a wry smile, he decided not to approach her and went straight into the cafeteria with Jack and Zhao Xiaotian.

What Leng Xuan didn’t know was that Zhou Li was actually there looking around for him.

Now, Zhou Li, driven to desperation by Huang Xiaojun, had no other choice but to turn to Leng Xuan. After much deliberation, she mustered up all her courage and made a decision... a decision to seek out Leng Xuan.

However, finding Leng Xuan was not easy in such a large school, and Zhou Li didn’t know where to start. She figured that Leng Xuan, not seeming to be very wealthy, would likely come to the cafeteria for lunch, so she hurried over to wait for him as soon as the class ended. But with so many students coming to eat at this time, spotting Leng Xuan in the crowd was not an easy task!

After waiting foolishly for about fifteen to twenty minutes, and with no new arrivals for lunch, Zhou Li felt a wave of disappointment wash over her. Her heart soured, and she turned to enter the cafeteria. She got herself a meal but couldn’t swallow her food, as tears started flowing down her cheeks unknowingly.

"Eh, Zhou Li..." Suddenly, a familiar voice reached her, belonging to one of her female classmates. The classmate said with surprise, "You left so quickly earlier; I thought you’d have finished eating by now."

Zhou Li quickly wiped her tears and turned around with a forced smile, "Little Mi, it’s you. Have you finished eating?"

The girl called Little Mi replied, "I have."

Suddenly, Little Mi seemed to recall something and spoke with intrigue, "By the way, Zhou Li, guess who I just saw?"
