"Scared my ass, I can’t be bothered to argue with you," Chen Nan retorted dismissively, and upon reaching the parking lot outside, he pointed to a Land Rover and tossed the keys to Qin Yixuan, "You can drive this one for now."

This car had been taken from Wei Datong when rescuing Su Qingqing and the others; although it had no proper documentation and was an illegal vehicle, Chen Nan wasn’t worried about being checked by the authorities, for he had powerful backing himself.

"What do you mean?" Qin Yixuan frowned, "Where is my car?"

Chen Nan replied with a wry smile, "It’s been blown to scrap metal."

"Blown up?"

Shocked, Qin Yixuan looked at him.

Chen Nan nodded, briefly recounting the terrorist attack they experienced that night.

"Why didn’t you say so earlier?" Qin Yixuan glared at him, annoyed, "You should have told me sooner so I could go buy another one instead of waiting so long, you damn liar."

Chen Nan replied with a bitter smile, "I was thinking of buying one to repay you, but I’ve been so busy lately, I forgot."

"I don’t need you to buy me one, you’re not richer than I am," Qin Yixuan pouted.

Touching his nose, Chen Nan looked at her with a half-smile, "That’s true, you corrupt official. You’ve made quite a bit on the side working at the Criminal Police Team for so long, haven’t you?"
