On the sofa, Lan Yuqin and Su Yixuan were casually chatting, though what they were talking about was unknown, while Su Qingqing was sitting quietly on the side, not uttering a word.

Chen Nan tried his best to hide his nervousness and, with a smile on his face, walked over and sat down opposite Lan Yuqin.

Lan Yuqin nodded, her eyes fixed on Chen Nan as she smiled and said, "Chen Nan, now, in front of your cousin, go ahead and tell us, what did you do at school today?"

In the hall, only Chen Nan and Lan Yuqin remained.

Picking up the teacup, Lan Yuqin took a sip and tried to calm her emotions.

"You still realize you’re a person?" Lan Yuqin took a deep breath and said, "Since you know you’re a person, then why does your word sound like farts, completely unreliable?"

"When have I ever been unreliable?"

"You have the nerve to ask!" Lan Yuqin said irritably, "Have you forgotten what you promised me before? I remember you said that in the future you would respect me, listen to me, and never break the rules again, didn’t you?"

Chen Nan felt uneasy inside, remembering that he indeed had said something like that when Lan Yuqin pretended to cry in the office.

Chen Nan’s face showed helplessness. The reason he skipped class was to commit a murder; if he blurted that out, it might scare Lan Yuqin to death!

Lan Yuqin’s eyes widened almost to the point of standing up and slamming the table.

She had come to Chen Nan’s house late at night instead of resting in the dorm to seek a clear answer on where he had been. Yet, this guy had the nerve not to say. This was really pushing her patience to the limit.

Chen Nan glanced at the front door. "Teacher, it’s already late, why don’t you head home first..."

"You still want to send me away!?"

Lan Yuqin really wanted to smash the teacup in her hand at him; such an awful student was probably the only one in the world.

"Teacher, I’m not trying to send you away, it’s just..."

Lan Yuqin snorted coldly, "Just what?"

"It really is getting late, what if you run into someone who might rob you on the way back?" Chen Nan sighed. "Besides, everyone wants to sleep now. By insisting on staying at my place, aren’t you making things difficult for me?"

Lan Yuqin’s chest heaved with anger, and she nearly cursed out loud.

"It’s only eight o’clock, who goes to bed this early!" Lan Yuqin said irritably. "If you don’t clear things up today, I’m not leaving!"

Chen Nan touched his nose and grinned. "Not leaving? Do you want to sleep with me then?"

Lan Yuqin felt an irresistible urge to explode. "Are you going to talk or not?"

"I just skipped class to have some fun, there’s nothing more to it," Chen Nan pointed towards the front door. "Teacher, after you!"

Lan Yuqin’s teeth itched with fury—this bastard was trying to send her away again and again!

"Chen Nan, I’m asking you one last time." Lan Yuqin put the teacup down and said seriously, "From now on in school, will you listen to me or not? You’re not a child anymore. If you refuse to be under my watch, just say the word, and from then on, I’ll leave you be."
