After leaving Zhang Wenlong’s villa, Chen Nan immediately called Li Xiao and briefed her on the situation.

When Li Xiao heard that Chen Nan had handled the nuisance Zhang Wenlong was, her mood immediately improved. She asked Chen Nan to wait nearby as she would come soon.

After hanging up, Chen Nan drove out of the villa complex and waited by the road.

About ten minutes later, a Porsche 911 roared in, and Chen Nan quickly waved from his window. Li Xiao parked her car behind his and swiftly got out, jumping into his rickety car.

"Getting out of your fancy car and diving into my bucket of bolts, aren’t you afraid of losing face?" Chen Nan joked.

Li Xiao, limp as though boneless, flung herself into his arms. "What’s there to be ashamed of? Your car still has four wheels. Even if you rode a $200 bike, I’d dare to sit on it."

Chen Nan stroked her hair. "Girl, you didn’t really fall for me, did you?"

"A little bit," Li Xiao looked up and said grumpily, "What’s wrong? You despise me now?"

Chen Nan touched her cheek and chuckled, "Jumping into my arms the moment you get in the car, and you say it’s just a little? I feel like you’re hopelessly in love with me!"

Li Xiao punched him gently on the chest, then stared seriously at Chen Nan, "Be honest with me, did you miss me these past days?"

"What are you thinking about?" Li Xiao suddenly asked when Chen Nan remained silent.

Chen Nan shook his head and smiled, "Nothing much, where are we hanging out tonight?"

"Nowhere, let’s just stay here, I’ll borrow your embrace to sleep tonight." Li Xiao lay in his arms, her head against his chest, listening to his strong heartbeat, a happy smile on her face.

Chen Nan smiled ruefully and shook his head, gently stroking Li Xiao’s hair.

After a brief silence, Li Xiao suddenly looked up at him and asked, "Tell me the truth, do you like me?"

"I do."

"Do you love me?" Li Xiao asked further.

"I..."

Chen Nan opened his mouth, then hesitated. He himself didn’t know if he truly liked Li Xiao or just her body.

Seeing Chen Nan struggle to continue, Li Xiao looked somewhat disappointed, shook her head, and said, "I already know the answer, you don’t need to say it. I’ll repeat what I said before, you were my first, and I was yours. We owe each other nothing, and I won’t force you to take responsibility."
