For a teacher to refer to herself as an old gal in front of her students showed just how furious Lan Yuqin was.

Glaring fiercely at Chen Nan, Lan Yuqin wished she could slap him to death. This jerk had gone too far, daring to call her dumb. She had always been top of her class since elementary school, and she was quick to learn anything—how could she possibly be dumb!

When Chen Nan heard her cursing, he didn’t stop. He didn’t even turn his head and continued to lament, "Having a slow mind is one thing, but to have such low quality too. Sigh, is it not necessary for teachers to undergo an assessment nowadays?"

Driven by her rage, Lan Yuqin couldn’t care less about her image and lunged at Chen Nan with the teaching pointer.

Walking calmly, Chen Nan felt Lan Yuqin chasing after him. Without turning his head, he pulled the door shut as he left the office, and it slammed shut with a loud "bang."

Shaking his head, Chen Nan pushed the door open and went in, only to see Lan Yuqin squatting on the ground, clutching her forehead, the pain so severe that tears were streaming down her face.

"Uh, I’m sorry, I didn’t do it on purpose," Chen Nan said, feeling somewhat guilty.

Lan Yuqin, although her eyes were brimming with tears, glared at Chen Nan, her eyes almost spitting fire. "Get lost! Don’t let this old gal see you again!"

Chen Nan felt quite helpless. After all, he was the one at fault. If he hadn’t suddenly shut the door, she wouldn’t have hit it. "Teacher, you’re a role model. It’s not very nice to curse like that, right? How about we calm down and have a proper talk?"

Squatting on the ground, clutching her forehead, Lan Yuqin looked pained and a little pitiable.

She looked up and glared at Chen Nan, pointing to the door and barking, "Get out!"

Chen Nan was used to this side of the little lady, Lan Yuqin. He walked over, intending to help her up, but she slapped his hand away. "Get your stinking hand off me!" Then she stood up and sat back at her desk.

Chen Nan walked over with a wry smile. "Don’t look so glum. Isn’t an apology enough for you?"

Lan Yuqin turned her head away, ignoring him.

"I’ve got medicine here. Just a little bit on your forehead and the pain will go away."

"Hmph!"

"Don’t be angry. You’re not dumb, you’re the smartest teacher in the world. I was spouting nonsense just now."

"That’s more like it," Lan Yuqin extended her hand. "What was that medicine you mentioned? Let me see it."

Chen Nan was speechless.

This Lan Yuqin, being in her twenties, sometimes still had the mind of a little girl. She just loved to hear compliments, and that too, in front of students.

Sighing, Chen Nan took out a small porcelain bottle, which contained some blue medicinal liquid.

"What is this medicine?" Lan Yuqin asked, frowning.

"Never mind what medicine it is. The important thing is that it works well. Here, let me put a couple of drops on you," said Chen Nan, holding the porcelain bottle and reaching for Lan Yuqin’s forehead.

With tears not yet dried in her eyes and looking very wary, Lan Yuqin stared at Chen Nan, and just as he was about to drop the liquid, she suddenly asked, "Wait a minute, there’s no poison in this, right?"

Chen Nan was speechless again. He directly dripped two drops onto his finger and then smeared it on her forehead.

Lan Yuqin only felt a wave of coolness, which was very comfortable, but she felt somewhat depressed in her heart. Being touched on the head by her student was really damaging to her image and too embarrassing.

"I’m afraid that’s not possible," Chen Nan shook his head.

Lan Yuqin became anxious upon hearing this and hurriedly said, "As long as you lend it to me, whatever conditions you have I’ll agree to, I’m begging you."

Chen Nan slapped his forehead and said with a resigned smile, "I’m not saying I won’t lend it to you because I don’t want to help you. What I mean is I have to personally see his wounds to determine the dosage of this medicine. If used too little, there will be no effect, and using too much could cause side effects."

"Oh, I see!" Lan Yuqin nodded, then earnestly said, "When will you be free?"

Chen Nan grinned, "As long as you agree to let me take leave, I will be free anytime."

"Cut it out, just thinking about skipping class," Lan Yuqin glared at him and said, "Come to my house this weekend, that’s settled then, and you’re not allowed to go back on your word."

Lan Yuqin’s face glowed with triumph, "I don’t care, if you go back on your word, then you’re a puppy."

"You’re the puppy!" Chen Nan laughed wryly and shook his head, then he walked a few steps towards the door, suddenly turned back, and grinned at Lan Yuqin, "Teacher, I suddenly remembered something, I’m not sure whether I should say it or not."

Lan Yuqin looked at him, curious, "What is it?"

"When you were squatting on the ground just now, with those teary eyed, you looked simply too adorable, absolutely cute to death," Chen Nan laughed heartily and walked out of the office.

Lan Yuqin was stunned for a moment, then glared at Chen Nan’s retreating figure and roared, "Bastard! You bastard!"

Chen Nan walked out of the office feeling quite content, but as soon he stepped out, he saw Huo Xinya standing there, seemingly waiting for him on purpose, "Xinya, why are you here..."

Before Chen Nan could finish his sentence, Huo Xinya coldly opened her phone, scrolled to a photo, and stretched it out in front of him, "You beast, take a good look at this for yourself!"
