Chapter 295: Chapter 295: The Engineering Vehicle Was Smashed

The sound of panicked shouting reached his ears. Chen Dashan looked up and saw the supervisor of the engineering department, wearing a white hat, running towards him with a face full of panic.

Chen Dashan quickly stood up, frowned, and looked at the approaching person: "What’s going on with the construction team?"

"Speak slowly."

"The construction vehicles, several excavators, were all smashed by someone. Even the construction workers were beaten to a pulp by a group of guys. This... it’s simply impossible to work, and no one dares to!"

The supervisor spread his hands, his face filled with despair as he looked at Chen Dashan.

They were beaten up?

Someone dared to smash their cars?

Chen Dashan’s face turned cold and severe. The atmosphere in the office was heavy. Who else in Furong County would dare do this?

"Master!"

"Master!"

Before Chen Dashan could speak, a rush of footsteps sounded from outside the door. Chen Dashan frowned and looked up to see Wu Hongling, dressed in a tight red T-shirt, her chest heaving with her movements, looking both striking and strong. She wore work pants that highlighted her hourglass figure, exuding both sexiness and a hint of heroism and competence.

Her high ponytail swung back and forth with her steps.

Seeing Chen Dashan staring at her, Wu Hongling blushed. Noticing the helpless look on the engineering supervisor’s face, she guessed that Chen Dashan already knew about the troublemakers.

She immediately said: "Master, it must be Deng Tiancheng’s people causing trouble. I saw that guy who smashed our Land Rover last time."

Hearing that it was Deng Tiancheng’s men, the engineering supervisor’s face changed drastically. He looked at Chen Dashan and Wu Hongling in panic and said bitterly: "President Chen, if Deng Tiancheng doesn’t approve this project, there’s no way it can proceed."

The middle-aged man waved his hands in despair, took off his hat, and said helplessly: "Even if we could do it, none of us would dare. Deng Tiancheng is ruthless. Going against him means severe injury or death. I can’t do this job!"

"Besides, they’ve already issued a warning. Anyone involved in the slum area project is going against Deng Tiancheng. We’re just ordinary folks with families to support. Who has the guts to defy him?"

After saying that, the middle-aged man put his hat on the desk and ran out without looking back.

"Ah..."

Wu Hongling was speechless, reaching out to grab him. Chen Dashan said coldly: "Let him go!"

With no choice, Wu Hongling pulled her hand back: "Master, I’ll go cripple Deng Tiancheng’s men right now. If one comes, I’ll beat one; if two come, I’ll beat two. Does our Feiyun Villa fear these bottom-feeder thugs? Deng Tiancheng is a treacherous scumbag, a downright disgrace."

Wu Hongling rubbed her fists together.

Chen Dashan’s face was grim: "No need, I’ll go see for myself. Contact Peng Hu now and have him gather the brothers. Today, I want to see just how arrogant this Deng Tiancheng really is in the slum area!"

Having said this, Chen Dashan slammed a fist onto the boss’s desk in front of him.

He was truly enraged. Just the day before, he had personally gone to meet Deng Tiancheng with Liu Yishou, sincerely discussing cooperation. Everything was agreed upon, but overnight, it turned upside down, and now they dared to attack his people. Did they really think Chen Dashan was that easy to bully?

"Okay!"

Wu Hongling, not one to shy away from trouble, looked at Chen Dashan with admiration in her eyes before turning to carry out his orders.

...

On the other side.

In the slum redevelopment area.

Several yellow excavators lay tipped over on the ground, having been overturned by cranes. Around a dozen construction workers, all wearing safety helmets, lay injured on the ground, groaning, surrounded by a group of thugs wielding bats. These hulking, tattooed men clearly didn’t look like they meant well.

Hu San stood arrogantly in the middle of the crowd, holding an electric baton. Pointing at the workers on the ground, he shouted: "I’ll warn you one last time. Anyone who touches the slum area is crossing Boss Deng Tiancheng!"

"You know what happens if you anger Boss Deng, right?"

"Things like ’accidental’ car crashes, drowning on your way home from work, or maybe your kids or elderly parents having ’accidents,’ you get what I’m saying, right?"

At these words, the workers on the ground begged for mercy: "Boss, we won’t dare anymore, please spare us."

"We’re just laborers. If we knew it was against Boss Deng, we wouldn’t dare even if you gave us ten lives!"

"Yes, we’ll leave right now!"

"Not even for ten thousand a day, this job isn’t worth it!"

The pleas for mercy went around. Hu San’s lips curled into a smug smile. He signaled his men, and dozens of muscular thugs stepped forward, enclosing the group of workers, who instantly tensed, the oppressive atmosphere closing in. The workers on the ground huddled together in fear.

"Hahaha..." Hu San laughed arrogantly, looking at the terrified workers, and said proudly: "Consider this a lesson, to let you know that in the slums, you follow the rules!"

"Don’t let a little benefit make you forget your place."

After saying this, he cast a sideways glance at the onlookers. The crowd, scared, withdrew their necks; even the few brave young men filming on their phones now decided they didn’t want trouble, shrinking their necks like quails.

The road was eerily silent.

All eyes, filled with fear, were on Hu San. He felt satisfied, arrogantly looking up and shouting: "Beat them!"

"Just leave them breathing!"

At this command, the workers on the ground wailed in despair, huddling together in fear. Hu San’s intention was clear: to make an example, to intimidate everyone else in the slums.

"Stop this at once!"

Just as Hu San’s men were about to swing their weapons, a loud shout came from behind. Hu San turned around, frowning, to see several black business cars parked by the roadside. The door of the leading G-Wagon opened, and a man in sunglasses, with slicked-back hair, shiny leather shoes, and a gold necklace around his neck, stepped out.

With a cigar in his mouth, the man stood there.

Hu San frowned, trying to figure out who this person was.

Peng Hu swaggered forward a few steps, followed closely by dozens of fierce-looking thugs emerging from the black business cars. Hu San momentarily froze, blinking at Peng Hu and stammering: "You... may I ask who you are?"

"Slap!"

Peng Hu slapped Hu San across the face, sending him sprawling to the ground, and shouted fiercely: "Who are you to ask for my name? Dare to obstruct our work? You must be tired of living. Want to brawl? Today we’ll see who really controls these slums!"

At these words.

Both sides quickly faced off, brandishing their weapons and eyeing each other warily.

Hu San crawled up from the ground: "Pah!" He spat a mouthful of blood and said coldly: "You think you can act tough? If I don’t cripple you today, my name isn’t Hu San!"

"Beat them to death!"

Neither side flinched, and at that moment, Chen Dashan arrived on the scene.

Hu San’s henchman trembled, tugging at Hu San’s sleeve, stammering: "B...boss, he’s, he’s here..."
