Chapter 752: Chapter 752: The Eighteen Generals!

Don’t be fooled by the blood on the corner of Zhou Yu’s mouth, his disadvantaged position, and seemingly passive state.

In fact, he had been hiding his own methods.

He hadn’t used the Mountain River Step nor his Saint Realm Primordial Spirit, and even his injuries were feigned. From the start, he was lulling Gu Hongcai into complacency, waiting for a chance to strike a severe blow.

However, at this moment, seeing his wife being hit, Zhou Yu couldn’t hold back any longer.

He immediately executed the Mountain River Step, his form flashed as he instantly bypassed Gu Hongcai, heading straight for Li Zerui.

Gu Hongcai hadn’t expected that Zhou Yu, whom he had been suppressing all along, would possess such a bizarre movement technique. His face changed, and he bellowed:

"The Daoist Mountain River Step!!!"

"Young Master, be careful!"

As Gu Hongcai shouted in distress, he threw a punch from afar at Zhou Yu.

At this moment, in Zhou Yu’s eyes, there was only Li Zerui, as his surging killing intent violently rushed towards him.

Facing the punch coming from behind, he didn’t even try to dodge and simply bore the brunt of it.

Bang!

A large mouthful of blood spurted from Zhou Yu’s mouth.

But with the momentum of that force, Zhou Yu also arrived in front of Li Zerui in an instant.

Li Zerui was scared stiff.

His complexion wildly changed, and he tried to retreat.

But Zhou Yu’s enraged punch went straight out.

Bang!

Li Zerui screamed miserably as he was sent flying sideways.

Sounds of numerous bones breaking emanated from his body, and he spewed out a large mouthful of blood.

His body slammed heavily into a car not far away, rolling over several vehicles in succession.

When he finally came to a stop, he was a bloody mess.

If it weren’t for some level of cultivation he possessed, that punch would have claimed his life.

Gu Hongcai hadn’t expected Zhou Yu to be so ruthless. Despite taking his punch head-on, Zhou Yu was still determined to attack Li Zerui.

Seeing Li Zerui injured to such an extent, Gu Hongcai roared furiously.

"Kid, you’re courting death!!!"

With an angry roar, Gu Hongcai charged at Zhou Yu to attack him.

But just then, a thunderous yell came through.

"Stop!"

Gu Hongcai’s figure halted, and he turned his head to look, only to see a large group of martial artists dressed in Martial Arts Guild uniforms running over.

Leading them was none other than the Deputy Chief of Haizhou Martial Arts Guild, Hou Guangshou.

Gu Hongcai recognized Hou Guangshou and his face immediately turned unsightly.

Why would the Deputy Chief of the Martial Arts Guild appear here?

Hou Guangshou arrived in front of Zhou Yu and Gu Hongcai and asked in a cold voice:

"Gu Hongcai, what are you doing?"

Gu Hongcai’s expression was dark.

"Deputy Chief Hou, my Tianyu Commerce Association is resolving some personal grievances here, I ask that you do not interfere."

"You know the relationship I have with the Chief, Xiang Yinglong."

Hou Guangshou’s brow furrowed.

Gu Hongcai was actually using Xiang Yinglong to pressure him.

He responded coldly.

"I don’t care how good your relationship is with the Chief, the fact remains that if you don’t have a legitimate reason and wage a public brawl in front of me, causing injury to the innocent, then it is my duty to intervene."

"This is my responsibility."

"If you want to challenge that, don’t blame me for not being polite!"

Hou Guangshou was quite adamant.

As the Deputy Chief of the Martial Arts Guild, he indeed had the authority to govern the private fights between martial artists. However, many local Martial Arts Guilds tend to turn a blind eye to such matters, but Hou Guangshou turned out to be someone who took his duties seriously.

This surprised Zhou Yu as well.

Seeing Hou Guangshou’s resolute attitude, Gu Hongcai’s eyes burned with rage, almost unable to restrain himself, wanting to make a forceful move.

But just then, another elder stepped down from Li Zerui’s car.

As this elder appeared, everyone felt an almost imperceptible oppressive force.

He glanced indifferently at Hou Guangshou and then said:

"Old Eight, let it be."

"Take Young Master Li away."

Hearing this, Gu Hongcai’s rage finally subsided.

He gave Zhou Yu a cold glance and then turned around to approach the wrecked car, lifting the unconscious Li Zerui, and left with the elderly man.

At this moment, Zhou Yu narrowed his eyes, a deep color flashing within.

He had failed to notice there was another old man in the car earlier.

This person seemed to be even stronger than Gu Hongcai.

He immediately used his Divine Sense, spreading it towards the elderly man.

However, as his Divine Sense made contact with the elder, the man sensed it and snorted coldly.

"Boy," he huffed.

"I spared your life out of respect for Vice Minister Hou, don’t court death."

After speaking, the man left without looking back, striding away.

At this, Lin Luoluo hastily approached Zhou Yu.

"Zhou Yu, are you all right?" she asked.

Zhou Yu shook his head.

"I’m fine."

Then, Hou Guangshou approached Zhou Yu and said indifferently:

"Mr. Zhou, if you’re okay, then you’d better leave quickly."

"Staying here, Kim Chopper won’t let you off."

Zhou Yu frowned.

"Kim Chopper? The old man who got off last?"

"That’s right, he’s ranked fifth among the Tianyu Eighteen Generals. His strength, even greater than Gu Hongcai’s," explained Hou Guangshou.

Zhou Yu nodded, then asked curiously:

"Why are you interfering in this matter?"

Hou Guangshou spoke indifferently:

"Consider it a reparation for the Incident at Xiangyang."

"After this, I won’t help further, you’re on your own."

After finishing his words, he waved his hand, leading the Martial Cabinet members away.

Zhou Yu’s brows were tightly locked.

He hadn’t expected that the Tianyu Commerce would deploy two such powerful masters this time; clearly, they were determined to capture the Bai Family members.

With his current strength, he could barely handle one, but two were out of the question.

He had to think of a solution.

"Zhou Yu, are you... all right?" Lin Luoluo asked quickly, seeing that Zhou Yu’s complexion wasn’t right.

Zhou Yu came back to his senses, shook his head, and said with a smile:

"It’s nothing.

"By the way, President Lin, I forgot to tell you, Ye Ling and the others are safe. They’re in the hotel room; I’ll take you up to see them."

"Really? That’s wonderful!"

Lin Luoluo finally felt relieved.

The two headed upstairs together.

Suddenly, Lin Luoluo remembered something.

"Oh, by the way, on my way here, I heard Li Zerui say that the Bai family from Shanghai has fled here?" she inquired.

Zhou Yu nodded.

"That’s right."

"What, you want to save them?"

Lin Luoluo fell silent for a moment.

Although she had grown up in Yancheng and didn’t have much of a sense of kinship with the Bai family in Shanghai, she understood her mother very well; she had often seen her mother crying alone late into the night.

Especially after her uncle Bai Yulou’s visit recently, her mother often stayed up in her room till dawn, and had visibly aged quite a bit lately.

She knew her mother’s thoughts were with the Bai family in Shanghai.

"If possible, I’d like to save them and take them to Yancheng," she said.

Zhou Yu nodded.

"Alright."

"I’ll help you."

He had come to find the Bai family members in the first place; if not for the incident with Ye Ling, he might have already entered the mountains.

"Let’s go, President Lin. Let’s head upstairs first," Zhou Yu suggested.

Zhou Yu took Lin Luoluo’s hand and they walked up the stairs together.
